Kendra was so wonderful with our dog Otis! This was our first experience with Rover and I’m so grateful for her taking such great care of him. Kendra was very knowledgeable, and very attentive to his care. She put his anxiety at ease as well as mine. She sent us pictures and updates throughout his stay. It was so comforting to know he was well taken care of. I will definitely use her services again!

Lauren was great! This was our first time using Rover as we couldn’t find a last minute sitter, and Lauren came to the rescue. Her communication was great, and she sent some of the cutest pictures of our fur baby. We will definitely use her services again. I could not think of any better words to describe how great Lauren was, but she was excellent!

My dog Gracie had a wonderful time staying with Krissa as evident by the pictures that Krissa sent of Gracie during her stay. Krissa has a very large fenced in yard and is quite knowledgeable of dogs. I'm comfortable leaving my little girl with Krissa and know that Gracie will enjoy herself.

All I can say is WOW!!! We had to go out of town during all the bad weather and storms. They kept in touch with us before boarding our dog Jake. They had lost power due to the storms but still went ahead and said bring Jake over. Jake and their dog Rosie played in their backyard and went on walks, they sent pictures and videos of the dogs playing and just hanging out. We did not know how Jake would do with a little baby but both were fine. The baby finally warmed up to Jake on last day. All this time and no power. Picked up Jake Sunday morning he was sad to leave but was happy to come home. He is resting after all the excitement of being them. We will definitely use them again in future for boarding and will even explore daycare options with them. Thank you again for all that you did, it was very much appreciated.

This was our first time using Rover and I was a bit anxious about how it would all go, given that Archer is a senior dog and very set in his ways. However Amelia and Grant were so accommodating and genuine, that I was very quickly set at ease. I received multiple pics every day where Archer looked settled and happy, so i knew he was in good hands! Highly recommend Amelia and Grant and glad to have found them on here!

About: As a lifelong animal lover, caring for animals isn't just something I do—it's part of my daily life. My family homestead is home to dogs, cats, and a thriving garden, so providing attentive, compassionate care comes naturally to me. When your pet stays with me, they become part of the family. Unlike traditional kennels, pets enjoy a comfortable home environment with plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I have a large fenced area for safe outdoor time and exercise, as well as multiple levels within my home that allow me to accommodate different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Whether your pet loves to socialize or prefers a quieter space to relax, I can create an environment where they feel comfortable and secure. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and quirks so their stay feels as close to home as possible. You'll receive regular updates, photos, and communication throughout your pet's stay because I know how important peace of mind is when you're away. My goal is simple: for you to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, loved, and treated like one of my own. I'm a teacher currently home for the summer, spending my days building our family homestead. Caring for animals is already woven into my daily routine, from tending to our dogs and cats, to working in the garden and enjoying life outdoors. Because I'm home and actively caring for my own animals throughout the day, welcoming boarding pets into my home feels like a natural extension of the life I'm already living. I have a fenced yard, lots of room indoors, and multiple levels to give pets the quiet or fun they desire. I have routines to care for our animals and will be glad to follow whatever your pet is used to!

Jennifer was fantastic with my dog Cody. She sent pictures and videos daily and messages letting me know how he was doing. Cody hasn’t done well in boarding environments. On the way home from Jennifer’s he was calm and content. He also became buddies with her dog Milo. I will certainly be taking Cody back to Jennifer!

Monique is my dog’s favorite sitter. In fact, I think he was more sad to leave her than he was happy to come home lol. She’s amazing as usual and I really appreciated her sending random pictures throughout the day of our little man. If she’s available and you’re looking for someone, look no further! As long as it’s not on a weekend where I need her 😉

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Boarding in Tryon on Rover is $27.75 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,864 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Tryon. About 91% of Tryon sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
