“John was amazing with my pup! He could tell he immediately felt comfortable with John. I got lots of updates and some awesome pictures. Will definitely be using John again to take care of my dog! Thank you so much.”

“She is wonderful! I got multiple pictures and videos a day. The babies had so much fun and I knew they were in good hands. I will be using Natalie again whenever we go out of town.”

“If you have a dog with needs, or just a dog you love, I would highly recommend Rachel and Donald to you! It was such a blessing to go on vacation and not worry about my pet! My dog is old, blind and deaf, so I do worry when I go on vacation. If I am not near, he gets very anxious. And it is hard for him to navigate a new place. But after our meet and greet, my own anxiety began to leave. Rachel and Donald sent more than one daily update with pictures. For once, I was not in a hurry to get back home! When I picked him up, he acted like he would have been fine to stay longer. I could tell they loved on and cared for my dog as well as I do. I will definitely use Rachel and Donald every time I go out of town. Again, if you have a dog with needs, or just a dog you love, I would highly recommend Rachel and Donald to you.”

“Shannon was so sweet and kept me updated daily, which I really appreciated. Deacon seemed really comfortable and enjoyed lounging around the house with her dog Bambi! Would book again.”

“This was our first time using Joselyn and she was amazing. She sent pictures each day, took Mochi on lots of walks, and to the dog park. Even with me not having good cell service on my trip, I knew Mochi was being taken care of very well. I’ll definitely use her again. Thank you ❤️🐕🦺”

“Krissa was amazing with my dog even though my dog is a bit hyper-active. I loved all the daily updates and pictures. I mostly appreciated her feedback and suggestions on my dog. I would definitely recommend Krissa and use her again at a later time.”

“They were flexible, adapted their house to my dog's physical condition, and sent pictures/news every day. Gave me peace of mind while I was visiting my mother.”

“Kimberly was great, she takes very good care of the animals and is really good about sharing pictures and keeping you up to date. She kept the dogs engaged with plenty of interaction. Highly recommended!”

About: Hi welcome to my profile my name is Aisha I am a fulltime pet sitter i’ve been a pet sitter since I was basically 15 years old and since I work from home I have great flexibility and availability offering a safe, fun and caring environment, I live in loft apartments pretty big building and big outside areas for ideal walks and I can definitely offer your pets my full undivided attention. I love animals so I’m definitely able to give them my full attention and able to play with them and care for them the way it’s needed I also do offer add-on services like baths and basic pet grooming, I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 15 from big to little sizes I’ve also had a variety of pets I’ve had dogs, fish, and birds so I can say when it comes to animals I’m pretty experienced and responsible with them over the years I also love animals and hope to be a vet one day so this just isn’t a job it makes me happy to do what I love which is this. “Flo did a fantastic job taking care of our pug, Pickles! She kept us updated with lots of photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Pickles looked so happy and well cared for the entire time, and it was clear he was having a wonderful time with her. We couldn’t have asked for better care, highly recommend Flo!”

“Brittany is EXACTLY what my senior dog needed. She met all his needs plus some and understood all his quirks. Even gave him a bath with a bonus bandana before pickup ?. She was able to feed him medicine and carry him up/down stairs. Very accomadable to providing him comfort with his multiple beds, blankets and pillows. Her family and children reacted well and she sent plenty of updates, pictures and videos to make me feel at ease. I have full confidence that any pet will feel welcome in her cozy log cabin home sitting on a couple acres with plenty of grass area for them to run and play. Brittany was able to provide constant supervision for my dementia boy who panics when alone. He had no anxiety while with her and didn't even care that I left, he felt right at home with Brittany. So glad she was available and local to home, it was a yuge relief!!”
“Alexis was great with Gus. She provided great photos and was very understanding of my puppy. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for great pup g care!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
