“Joshua and Audrey were really accommodating and did a great job watching my pup over the holidays. It was his first extended period of time away from me and they sent frequent photos and updates to help keep peace of mind that my little guy was doing okay. I highly recommend their care!”

“Monique was awesome. My anxious dog had a great time with her friendly dog. She sent pictures and put my mind at ease. She has a very calm spirit and is good with dogs. I highly recommend her.”

About: Trey, Ricky, and I have had animals our entire lives and have always been passionate about giving pets a safe, loving, and happy home. We currently have a one-year-old dog named Winston, who loves meeting new friends and being part of our family. We have also opened our home to foster dogs, giving them love, patience, and care while helping them transition to their forever homes. Scheduling-wise, Trey and I both have flexible routines. I work from home on Thursdays and Fridays, so I will be home throughout the day during boarding stays. On other days, we coordinate care so pets are never left alone for long periods and always have attention, exercise, and supervision. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. We have a fully fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely play, exercise, and enjoy outdoor time. Our covered back porch is a favorite spot for relaxing outside and spending time together. We have a one-year-old dog named Winston who loves meeting new furry friends and enjoys having other dogs around. We always supervise interactions and make sure every pet has the space they need to feel comfortable. We also have crates available if a dog needs a quiet break or their own cozy space. Our goal is to provide a safe, loving home where your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away.

“William did a great job caring for my pet. He was reliable, communicative, and made me feel comfortable knowing my pet was in good hands. I appreciated the updates and would definitely book with him again.”

“My Colby can be a handful, but Tonya and her husband made watching him look easy! They were super attentive to his needs, and prioritized his safety, which meant so much to me.”

“This was our first time using Rover. And Ginia and her family were great. Daisy loved her stay with them. She had so much fun. Ginia gave me updates daily which assured us we made a good decision choosing them to care for Daisy. We will definitely be using Ginia again. Feel confident in booking with Ginia.”

“Ozzy was a happy pup while with Shannon for the weekend. He had plenty of exercise and pampering and I especially appreciated all the pictures sent during his stay. I highly recommend Shannon and will definitely call on her again if in the area and need care for my pup.”

“This was my first time using Rover, and I needed a dog sitter at the very last minute due to an upcoming major surgery after my previous sitter plans fell through. I was stressed trying to find someone I could trust, and then I aligned with Alexis and I will be forever grateful that I did. When I say Alexis did an exceptional job caring for my Nahla girl, I truly mean it. She communicated consistently, kept me updated, and genuinely cared about Nahla’s health and well-being. She even offered helpful tips and showed so much compassion and attentiveness throughout the entire stay. Knowing Nahla was in such good hands gave me so much peace of mind during a very difficult time. Alexis has been amazing across the board, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable!”

“We loved having Laura look after our Bodhi! She was very warm and receptive. Laura immediately connected with our Labrador Retriever and he never looked back as we were leaving him. She provided photos and updates about their time together and was flexible with pickup and drop off times. We won’t hesitate to call on Laura the next time we need pet sitting services.”

“2nd time my boys have been kept with Ms. Daisy They seem to love it there. The pictures she send are wonderful and makes me miss them more. Daisy is very kind and caring to my furbabies.”

“Nathalie was the best! We often worry about our pup while he is staying with a Rover when we travel but we knew through meeting her and the updates during a trip that he was having a great time. She took great care of our pup and was very responsive if we had questions. We would definitely recommend her for a safe and loving place to board your pup and hope to book with her again the next time we travel. Thanks Nathalie! 💜🐾”

“Elizabeth was so nice and sent me lots of pictures of Baxter, so I knew he was doing well! She was also very accommodating as far as pick up and drop off times! I will definitely use her again:)”
“Irina and her husband had our husky over the weekend for the 4th of July and did an amazing job taking care of her. Even took her out for a hike. Thank you both! Happy to have found Luna a caring couple to leave her with when we need to.”

“Shamika was a pleasure to work with. Her communication and care for Rylee was all fantastic. We loved how she sent us pictures and videos of Rylee. We felt such peace knowing that our sweet girl was being loved and treated so well. We highly recommend Shamika to others and will use her again in the future.”

“John took great care of my dog and was excellent at communication. He even took my dog out for a pup cup on my dogs birthday! We definitely will be rebooking him for any future trips.”

“We just moved here and we were very nervous about leaving our babies. Christine was the best!!! They had so much fun and she kept us updated everyday! I will definitely ask her again and recommend her 100%! ❤️”

“Krissa was amazing! She watched our 4 yr. old boy, Captain, for 12 days while we were on vacation. He is a beagle so you know how that breed can be. He is always on the hunt outside and certainly loves a lot of attention. We had a meet and great before our trip, which was nice to get to know her as well as allow Captain to spend a little time with her dogs at their house. Krissa stayed in contact with us our entire time away and sent many pictures. She gave him tons of attention and loved on him like we do at home. Captain enjoyed the fenced backyard and it is surrounded by trees, which is nice. What a great 1st time experience having someone watch your dog vs. using a boarding place as we have done in the past. He certainly got more attention and time to play than those places offer. She even let him sleep in their bed at night, which is how he sleeps at home. We will certainly use her again for our next trip away. I recommend booking with Krissa for sure!”

“My puppy absolutely loved Jazmine. She was very good and consistent at updating, sending pictures, and following any needed instructions. She gives lots of attention to the dogs she is dog sitting. Highly recommend!”

“Every stay at Ashley and Robert's house is a wonderful time for Adger. To be loved on and played with. He is always ready to go when he sees that we are packing his bag. He knows that fun and cuddles are on the way. Love them.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
