We’ve had Joshua and Audrey watch our dog Roger multiple times now, and they always take such good care of him and send lots of pictures! Roger is always excited to be back to hang out with them and their dogs. I always know he’s in great hands with them. :)

About: We’ve both been around dogs our entire lives, and caring for them has always been a natural part of our home. We’ve also fostered dogs, which gave us experience welcoming dogs with different personalities, routines, energy levels, and comfort needs into our family. We currently share our home with Winston, our friendly French Bulldog, who loves having new friends around! We understand that every dog is different, so we take the time to learn your pup’s normal routine, personality, feeding schedule, favorite activities, and what helps them feel most comfortable. We’re comfortable caring for puppies, adult dogs, and seniors, including dogs who need medication or a little extra patience and attention. Whether your dog loves playing in the yard, going for a walk, curling up on the couch, or simply being close to people, we want their stay to feel as much like home as possible. Most importantly, we know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else. We’ll treat your pup like part of our family and keep you updated with plenty of photos so you can relax knowing they’re safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into our everyday routine! Between the two of us, we have flexibility in our schedules that allows us to give our four-legged guests plenty of attention throughout the day. Our days already revolve around our own dog, Winston, so potty breaks, backyard time, playtime, meals, and lots of attention are part of our normal routine. We have a fenced-in backyard that makes it easy for the dogs to get outside frequently throughout the day, whether they want to play, explore, or just enjoy some fresh air. When your dog stays with us, we’ll do our best to keep them on the routine they’re used to at home—including feeding times, medications, bedtime routines, walks, and any special instructions you provide. We want their stay with us to feel like part of their normal life, just with a few new friends and a little extra spoiling! Your dog’s safety and comfort are always our top priorities. We have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can enjoy plenty of supervised outdoor time, and we never leave guest dogs outside unattended. We take introductions with our dog, Winston, slowly and supervise interactions so everyone has time to get comfortable with one another. We understand that not every dog wants to play or be social all the time, so we’re happy to provide separate spaces when someone needs a little quiet time to relax and decompress. We also have crates available if your dog is crate-trained and feels most comfortable having their own familiar space. Inside our home, dogs are treated like part of the family. They’re welcome to relax with us, play, snuggle, and settle in just like they would at home. We follow each owner’s instructions closely when it comes to feeding, medications, potty schedules, walks, sleeping arrangements, and household rules so we can keep your dog’s routine as familiar as possible. We also believe trust means keeping you in the loop. You can expect regular updates and plenty of photos during your dog’s stay, and we’ll always reach out if we have a question or notice anything unusual. Our goal is for you to feel just as comfortable with your dog staying here as your pup feels being here.

Vita was absolutely amazing with my Louie! 🐾❤️ She took such great care of him and made me feel completely comfortable while I was away. She sent plenty of pictures, videos, and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing my baby was safe and being loved on. 🥹 I could tell Vita genuinely cared about Louie, and that meant everything to me. Biggie and our pack just moved cross-country and needed a last-minute sitter for him while we viewed some homes. Jennifer and Matthew were fantastic, and so kind. They promised to take care introducing him to their kids and another dog, kept communication open, and sent photos that showed how happy he was running and playing. As much as I missed him, I can tell he had a blast with them. We look forward to the next visit, thank you both for making our first Rover experience in NC such a good one.

Jennifer was fantastic with my dog Cody. She sent pictures and videos daily and messages letting me know how he was doing. Cody hasn’t done well in boarding environments. On the way home from Jennifer’s he was calm and content. He also became buddies with her dog Milo. I will certainly be taking Cody back to Jennifer!

Monique took great care of our little furbaby. She was very flexible with my hectic schedule during drop off and pick up. She has a fenced-in yard where she took extra care to make sure there are no gaps and has her downstairs well doggie-proofed. She did a great job with sending updates and pics to keep my mind at ease. I never had to ask, she just sent them periodically. She has a great personality and you can tell she loves animals. I highly recommend her as a sitter!

Isabella is an absolute angel! I had just moved across the country and had no friends or family nearby when an unexpected urgent family emergency occurred requiring me to find my sweet Rue a sitter. Isabella was so incredibly kind and thoughtful. She really took care of my pup, so that I could focus on taking care of my human family. I cannot thank her enough. I received multiple daily updates including photos. Isabella responds very quickly and She is extremely easy to communicate and work with. She is honest and transparent. I feel Rue was very well taken care of. I was impressed when Isabella had to step away from the home for a couple hours and she took the time to check up on Rue via home cameras. I have already booked Rue’s next stay with Isabella!

Hanaa was amazing! She did a meet and greet with Wrigley before boarding her at her house. We had just moved to the area and were nervous about how Wrigley would react, but Hannah gave her a little space of her own in the house to get comfortable and treated our dog like she was one of her own. She came back to us showing no signs of stress whatsoever, having thoroughly enjoyed her time at Hanaa’s. We appreciated the pictures and updates and how willing she was to adapt to any schedule needs or dog needs. Thanks Hanaa!

We couldn't have found a better pet sitter than Lisa P. Our dog Petey has a lot of anxiety, but Lisa knew exactly how to deal with him. She sent us pictures every day of him and he looked so happy and relaxed. We are so happy we found her and could relax on our vacation and not worry about him.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 2,077 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Bessemer City. About 92% of Bessemer City sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
