I work a hybrid schedule which allows me flexibility during the week, and I’m fully available on weekends. I can provide consistent care, attention, and supervision, especially for pets who shouldn’t be left alone for long periods. Typically when I leave home, it’s for no more than about 5 hours at a time.

I have a fully fenced yard for outdoor play and potty breaks. I can use baby gates as needed to separate dogs for quiet time, and I also have different size appropriate crates, too.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs, routines, or rules regarding furniture preferences, potty routines, medications. I can keep your dog on their same routine to make their vacation fun and relaxing for them too! Proof of rabies vaccination status is required prior to meet and greet. No other vaccines are required, however all of my pets have all recommended vaccines, including bordetella for Rosie. I do accept bookings for large dogs with a calm demeanor. I have a small older dog who needs her own space at times, as well as 2 cats. Please reach out to discuss if our home may be a good fit for your large dog.

A typical day with me is pretty relaxed and home centered. I’m often spending time outside while my dog plays in the yard, or inside watching TV and hanging out. Pets in my care get lots of companionship, outdoor time, and a calm, comfortable environment. In nice weather, I spend most of the day outside.

I have a lifelong passion for animals and over 15 years of hands on experience fostering and caring for pets of all kinds. Horses, dogs, goats, cats, chickens, pigs! I began working at a veterinary office in high school and continued through college, where I gained experience with animal handling, basic medical care, administering medications, recognizing signs of illness, and providing comfort to pets in stressful situations. Fostering has given me a deep understanding of patience, positive reinforcement, and individualized care. I treat every pet as if they were my own and pride myself on providing safe, reliable, and loving care while keeping owners informed and at ease.

Leaving my pup for two weeks gave me so much anxiety at first, as I’ve never left him that long with someone outside of the family. However, Leigh made the entire experience completely seamless. She is incredibly flexible and kind, and her daily updates and photos kept us connected the whole time. Leigh was absolutely amazing. Leo had the best time. He usually doesnt eat due to separation anxiety but Leigh was able to get him to eat and that was very comforting.
We are so happy we chose Leigh to look after our sweet boy while on vacation! She made us feel at ease and sent updates with pictures everyday! 😊 We highly recommend her, and will definitely book with her again!
