“This is my first time booking through Rover, and it has been an amazing experience. Elizabeth is very lovely to the dogs, friendly and loves her job very much. Her and her family showed so much love to my fury baby. She is perfectly!. I will definitely book Elizabeth again.”

“We couldn't have found a better pet sitter than Lisa P. Our dog Petey has a lot of anxiety, but Lisa knew exactly how to deal with him. She sent us pictures every day of him and he looked so happy and relaxed. We are so happy we found her and could relax on our vacation and not worry about him.”

“Jessica took such great care of our doodle. I hope to use her again if the need arises. She provided daily updates and videos of our Bailey and it was easy to see she was happy and comfortable with Jessica and her pets. She was super to communicate with and responded quickly. It was such a relief to know Bailey was in good hands while we were away. You can tell Jessica enjoys caring for your furry loved ones. So glad we found her!”

“Joshua and Audrey were awesome taking care of our fur baby! They sent lots of photos and were very responsive. My dog Roger had lots of fun playing with Chomps all weekend.😊”

“Leighanne was so great to take our 2 dogs last minute for a week. We are so thankful. I know they loved having other friends to play with. They moved our dogs like they were their own. Comforting our big baby when he was homesick. Great rovers!”

“When I move to Charlotte a week ago, one of my biggest concerns was Pet care. I love my dog, and I was nervous to find someone who loved taking care of him as much as I do. I appreciate you! I picked my pup up and he had just as much excitement from the time I dropped him off with you. From now on, you will be my first choice from here on out.”

“Rachel and her boys took great care of our pup while away for the weekend. She shared updates and pictures. We know he had a great time when he fell asleep immediately when he got home! Will definitely use her services again!”

“Wish I could give them 10 stars!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Torque’s 3rd stay with Chris and Nicole! They pay wonderful attention to his and his quirk. They make sure he’s well acclimated, sleeping and eating enough. He loves his outdoor time with Sophie and Stella. So thankful we found such an excellent fit for our senior boy!”
“Gonzalo was easy to communicate with and both Chomps and Audrey seemed to have a great time while there! We got so many pictures of our dogs playing and taking a walk. They came back to us smelling nice and tired from the good time that they had. We would not hesitate to use Gonzalo again.”

“They were great very professional and reasonable. They also send pictures and videos and respond back very fast. Had a great experience with them my dog didn’t want to come back home.”

“Brent was amazing with our dog Barry!! Our little guy is super anxious and it takes someone with a lot of patience and experience to handle him and Brent definitely was that person! Would recommend him over and over again! Best dog sitter we have come across and so glad we found him 🙏🏻🙌🏻”

“Vita was absolutely amazing with my Louie! 🐾❤️ She took such great care of him and made me feel completely comfortable while I was away. She sent plenty of pictures, videos, and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing my baby was safe and being loved on. 🥹 I could tell Vita genuinely cared about Louie, and that meant everything to me. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and attentive sitter. Louie will definitely be back! 🐶💕”

“Brooke and Mark are wonderful! Excellent communication and lots of photos and videos. Our dog has been overly anxious in other boarding settings and was very comfortable here. We appreciated the walks and all the play time outside. We will definitely book again!”

About: We’ve both been around dogs our entire lives, and caring for them has always been a natural part of our home. We’ve also fostered dogs, which gave us experience welcoming dogs with different personalities, routines, energy levels, and comfort needs into our family. We currently share our home with Winston, our friendly French Bulldog, who loves having new friends around! We understand that every dog is different, so we take the time to learn your pup’s normal routine, personality, feeding schedule, favorite activities, and what helps them feel most comfortable. We’re comfortable caring for puppies, adult dogs, and seniors, including dogs who need medication or a little extra patience and attention. Whether your dog loves playing in the yard, going for a walk, curling up on the couch, or simply being close to people, we want their stay to feel as much like home as possible. Most importantly, we know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else. We’ll treat your pup like part of our family and keep you updated with plenty of photos so you can relax knowing they’re safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into our everyday routine! Between the two of us, we have flexibility in our schedules that allows us to give our four-legged guests plenty of attention throughout the day. Our days already revolve around our own dog, Winston, so potty breaks, backyard time, playtime, meals, and lots of attention are part of our normal routine. We have a fenced-in backyard that makes it easy for the dogs to get outside frequently throughout the day, whether they want to play, explore, or just enjoy some fresh air. When your dog stays with us, we’ll do our best to keep them on the routine they’re used to at home—including feeding times, medications, bedtime routines, walks, and any special instructions you provide. We want their stay with us to feel like part of their normal life, just with a few new friends and a little extra spoiling! Your dog’s safety and comfort are always our top priorities. We have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can enjoy plenty of supervised outdoor time, and we never leave guest dogs outside unattended. We take introductions with our dog, Winston, slowly and supervise interactions so everyone has time to get comfortable with one another. We understand that not every dog wants to play or be social all the time, so we’re happy to provide separate spaces when someone needs a little quiet time to relax and decompress. We also have crates available if your dog is crate-trained and feels most comfortable having their own familiar space. Inside our home, dogs are treated like part of the family. They’re welcome to relax with us, play, snuggle, and settle in just like they would at home. We follow each owner’s instructions closely when it comes to feeding, medications, potty schedules, walks, sleeping arrangements, and household rules so we can keep your dog’s routine as familiar as possible. We also believe trust means keeping you in the loop. You can expect regular updates and plenty of photos during your dog’s stay, and we’ll always reach out if we have a question or notice anything unusual. Our goal is for you to feel just as comfortable with your dog staying here as your pup feels being here.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
