“Carrie has been so polite, communicative, and so, so caring for my sweet doggo! I cannot recommend her enough and am so thankful to have a dog sitter who is compassionate and truly involved with her time spent with my baby!”

About: I’ve always had a passion for animals ever since I was young. I have worked at animal hospitals/daycares and clinics now for 5 years and love it. I’m a dog mom to a beautiful catahoula mix boy named nash who is 3. I currently am a stay at home mom trying to find a part time job to start! I love being active and working with animals. I treat pets like family. I play fetch, go on walks, I don’t mind giving baths if needed. I make sure any pet feels comfortable and loved.
“Miranda was incredible with our two chihuahuas! She went above and beyond to ensure that they were comfortable while we were out of town. It’s evident that she truly loves animals. We will definitely book Miranda again in the future!”

“Absolutely prefect! This was the first time we have let someone other than family take care of the dogs & Elizabeth did amazing! She made us feel confident & comfortable that she would be able to handle our larger dog from the beginning! Would absolutely recommend to anyone & will definitely be using her again! Thanks Elizabeth!!!!”

“Jenny, provided excellent care for our cat, Winnie! She did exactly what was needed for her to make sure she was fed, had a clean box and especially giving her attention which Winnie craves. Jenny is reliable and provided pictures from her visits with Winnie, too. Thank you, Jenny!”

“Nichole did amazing with both my dogs. She showed up on time and took very good care of them. I got pictures and updates of the drop in visits. I will definitely book her again!!”

About: I know what trustworthy pet care means. I want to take the worrying away when you can’t be there. I have 3 rescue inside dogs and 2 cats. Growing up we always had pets. My Bichon is a diabetic and gets shots 2 times a day, so I am experienced with giving those. Dog hair is my friend 🐾🐾 My animals are not crated, they use a doggie door. I will roll with whatever your routine is. Feeding and treats at your direction only
About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, and even a horse when I was younger! I have taken care of my animals for 6+ years, so I’ve fed, walked, bathed, and given medicine to these animals for that time. I have also taken 3 animal classes in high school along with a vet office internship. In those experiences I learned more in depth about animals and how to care for them properly. I currently go to college and work part time, but I am off after classes M-W. I am available for overnights any time, but I may have to leave early in the morning. My work schedule changes every week so I could be available at certain times just inquire and ask! I have dealt with animals my whole life, and have pet sat for friends and family. The vet internship that I partook in expanded my knowledge in taking care of animals in the safest way possible!
About: Hello 👋 I’m Hanna. I have owned all sorts of pets my entire life. I truly have a love and passion for animals. Horseback riding has been a full time hobby of mine since childhood. As well as dogs, I genuinally care about the welfare of animals. If there’s one promise I can make it’s that your fur baby is SAFE with me. ❤️ I am a public school employee so my summers are OPEN. I have experience of dogs of all breeds and sizes. Cat experience and can administer medication. My priority when your pet is in my care is health, safety and FUN! OPEN. I am off work for the summer. Weekdays and weekends. Mornings and nights. Very flexible throughout the summer. Will accommodate to what you need. I treat every animal as if they are my own. I want the best for EVERY pet and never let them get anything but the best care. Truly.
“If I could give 10 stars I would! Jennifer went over and above my expectations. She was the first dog sitter I’ve used since moving to SC. I have an older dog with medical needs and a 6 year old dog who suffers from anxiety and separation issues! She handled them beautifully 👍 A side note, she left my home clean and neat even putting the bag of puppy pads outside! She is now my go to person for my dogs!”

“Carla is absolutely wonderful. My kitty babies were very well cared for while I was ion vacation. She sent photos and videos during each visit which made me feel so much closer to my kitties. Thank you again, Carla. 100/10”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Clover
Monica was great! Quick response. She came over to meet us before her visits. She played with Callie, fed her and cleaned the litter box. Sent pics and videos too. My cat really loved her. It was my first time leaving my cat and having someone drop in to take care of her. I definitely would have Monica again. I didn't have to worry about anything.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 2,128 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Clover. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clover. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
