About: I have been caring for dogs of all sizes and ages for the past 20 years. I have always used a very simple approach to dog sitting. A tired dog that is engaged is easy to take care of. My property has lots of things that will keep your dog curious and entertained. I have squirrels that run around in the trees and moles that leave chutes in the ground. Outside my fence you will often see rabbits, deer and the occasional opossum. Your dog will love the new smells and occasional sightings of these animals. For physical activity I have plenty of long stretches for play and ball chasing as well as some basic agility obstacles your dog may find interesting. My semi wooded lot has lots of sticks to chew on. Your pet will be included in walks around the neighborhood and my local park. Having recently retired from corporate America I am looking for things to keep me busy and make use of my love of pets and experience caring for them. I also recently lost my dog to cancer and while I am not quite ready to adopt a new dog I miss having one around. I do not have a 9-5 so except for the occasional errand I will be around for your pet full time. I take the responsibility of caring for your dog very seriously. I attach a tracking tag to the collar of every dog in my care as well as an extra layer of security. Feel free to ask me any other questions you may have and rest assured you will not regret booking me for any of your pet needs. I am retired so with the exception of an errand I will be available to your pet full time. Pets are allowed on my furniture and bed. Please advise if this is a behavioral you are trying to discourage! Your pet will enjoy plenty of time outside and walks around my neighborhood and local park. I have a fenced in wooded acre. Your pet will be given free range of my home, but I will crate or contain them when I am away for their protection. I currently have no pets so your dog will receive my full attention.
“I recently hired Lauren to care for my two parrots and cat while we were away for the holiday, and I was very impressed with her service. She communicated regularly and ensured my pets were well taken care of throughout our absence. When a temperature alarm went off in my home, she responded immediately and handled the situation with great professionalism. My pets were happy and healthy upon my return, and the house was just as I left it. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and responsive pet sitter.”

About: Hi! My name is Morgan, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages and understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether it’s feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, basic care, or simply keeping them company, I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’m dependable, attentive, and committed to following your pet’s routine so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. Pet care is naturally set into my daily and weekly routine. I schedule my day around feeding times, walks, play time, and check-ins to ensure every pet gets consistent care. Mornings and evenings are dedicated to exercise, enrichment, and cuddles, while afternoons include potty breaks, supervision, and rest time. My schedule is flexible and intentionally designed so I can give every animal the attention, and time they deserve. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Clover
Monica was great! Quick response. She came over to meet us before her visits. She played with Callie, fed her and cleaned the litter box. Sent pics and videos too. My cat really loved her. It was my first time leaving my cat and having someone drop in to take care of her. I definitely would have Monica again. I didn't have to worry about anything.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Jennifer went over and above my expectations. She was the first dog sitter I’ve used since moving to SC. I have an older dog with medical needs and a 6 year old dog who suffers from anxiety and separation issues! She handled them beautifully 👍 A side note, she left my home clean and neat even putting the bag of puppy pads outside! She is now my go to person for my dogs!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
