Bianca left my house clean, all litter changed and swept up. During the visit, our keypad battery started giving a "low battery signal," Bianca let us know, and offered to change it. I provided directions and she was able to figure it out seemslely and change the batteries at the next visit to prevent any distribution to kitty care. She watered our plants, too! About: Mine was a dog family. My parents showed Chow Chows and Bichon Frisés at dog shows around the country with me in tow as a junior handler grooming, training, and caring for our dogs. In college, rather than wait tables, I worked as a kennel assistant and then as a veterinarian assistant during post-grad, spending weekends caring for medical boarders, administering meds and keeping lonely, isolated dogs company. I’m a deeply attached and passionate rescue advocate and animal-lover. My pets have all been mostly large, lovable mixed-breed dogs and second-chance stories like Betsey. Professionally, I have 20+ years of experience as a copywriter and creative strategist. Before starting Betsey & Julie Walk Dogs, I spent the past year as a Dog Handler at Pawlins Day Care — under the tutelage of all kinds of dogs. I’m a freelance writer and I work from home. I share this home with Betsey, an incredibly sweet five-year-old Labrador Retriever. I’m available and actively involved in your dog’s enrichment and overall experience. I’m active and attentive. Betsey and I are affectionate and accommodating. We love walks, parks, toys, treats, and cuddling. We think your dog will love spending time with us.

About: Growing up, my nuclear family cared for roughly thirty cats, both indoor and outdoor. Naturally, part of my daily routine was feeding them all before getting on the school bus, keeping the litter boxes and surrounding areas tidy throughout the day, and of course providing AMPLE love to all. I have experience nursing abandoned kittens to health and maturity, as well as acclimating feral cats into the home. I am more than keen when it comes to feline behavior! (My mother used to "joke" that her four children should come together and open a vet clinic.) Today, my husband and I have a well-trained, 3 year old shepherd mix named Poet, whom we adopted at just 8 weeks old, and a 5 year old American bobtail kitty named Millie, who we also rescued. We both work from home and our animals are our absolute lives. Normal days for us include walks around the neighborhood, as well as trips to City Bark. We have a fenced in backyard for potty time, as well as sun bathing. Both as our animal have free reign of our home; they watch TV with us, answer email with us, snooze with us, cook with us, etc.! You can trust that your fur baby would be met with the same love, adoration, and care that we provide to our own. Both my husband and myself work from home and are able to provide near-constant care for your fur babies, whether that pertain to potty breaks or play time! We have a modest fenced in yard, as well as one dog and one cat of our own. Both are friendly with all species! We have ample space (spare bedrooms) to set up up a crate/kennel if desired.

About: I've care for all sorts of pets for years. I understand the needs of the busy families who want to make sure their pet babies are cared for while they're away. I enjoy making sure pets are cared for by daily exercise and quality love and care. I will ensure the pets are well fed and take care they are given enough attention. I will ensure the food/water is filled as per the client's request. I will make sure to keep the home of the owner safe and secure for the pet and secure a clean space for the pet as well.

About: I’ve cared for and grown up around more animals than I can count. I love showing fur babies the love they deserve and there’s nothing more rewarding than receiving it back in return. I believe animals can truly be medicinal and can better a person’s mood and outlook on life. They are our best friends and we are their lives. Flexible availability; I can provide dog walks, grooming, feeding, daytime & overnight sitting, cuddles, and even just a pop-in. I’m free mornings, day, and night and open to ongoing long-term schedules if things happen to work out that way. I have a big fenced in backyard, but most of my time with pups is spent on hikes or long walks outdoors. I do have a medium sized, super friendly husky, if your pupper feels uncomfortable around other dogs though, my husky baby loves spending time at my sister’s house and would be happy to accompany her while I care for your fur baby. I’m extremely active but can also just hang out and offer an easy-going light day or night with your pet.
