“We love Elizabeth! She’s great with my Great Dane and has become our regular sitter. Responsive, great with care instructions, and super reliable. :)”

“Did a great job taking care of my pups. Will definitely book with Amanda again.”

“Sarah is a true gem, and really excellent with shy cats. My boys tend to hide from their sitters, but they adjusted quickly to Sarah to my surprise and I felt so thankful they were happy and comfy while I was away. Very grateful and impressed! ?”

“Michelle was great with my cat, Layla! She followed all the instructions given and sent daily photo updates of Layla. She responded back quickly when I messaged her asking if she could give a more thorough update on my cat’s well-being/food intake and reassured me that Layla was fine. All was well when I came back home! Thanks Michelle!”

“Mindy is always great with Scout! I appreciate how communicative she is when she enters the home. She sends lots of pictures of Scout playing, being a goofball, and overall enjoying her company! I tell Scout “Aunty Mindy” is coming over and he quickly runs to the door to look for her.”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care Loren provided for my elderly cat during their drop-in visits. From the start, they showed genuine compassion and attention to detail, ensuring my senior kitty was comfortable, fed, and given gentle companionship. Thanks Loren!”

“Alaina was fantastic! She went above and beyond looking after our elderly cat Eddie. She kept us updated daily and we will definitely be using her services again next time we have to travel out of town. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter”

“Lindsay was wonderful as always. Had to make last minute travel changes due to a death in the family and she accommodated that with no difficulty. Cats were well taken care of and I never had to worry.”

“Stacy and Patrick came over twice to take care of our pup, Maka, while we were gone for a night. When we met them before booking, they were very receptive to everything we went over with them from quirks with our house to quirks with our dog! Maka also liked them both right away which is what we cared about most because it is very rare that we use dog sitter services and she can be a bit hesitant with strangers. Everything went very smoothly and I'll definitely reach out to them again if we need a sitter!”

“Migle was very attentive to my dog and made sure her needs were met. She was very professional and punctual. I will definitely use her again.”

“Macie took great care of our cats and gave great updates each visit. She ensured they were comfortable while we were away.”

“It was nice to meet Ryan and I look forward to him walking/checking in on the dogs”

About: I have over 8 years of dog care, walking and sitting experience. No dog too big or small. Special needs dogs are my specialty! Looking forward to being your pets’ new buddy. I work part time remotely, so my schedule is pretty wide open. I always have time to take dogs on 2-4 walks a day. Mornings, afternoons, and evenings all have availability. I have a fenced yard and a dog & cat. They are both friendly and cross species trained. I let them out a few times a day, but prefer to do at least one big walk per day, whether it is to the park or on a nature walk.

About: With over 15 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, including seniors, I provide personalized attention to ensure each pet’s well-being. My services encompass feeding, exercise, administering medications, and companionship. I understand the unique needs of older pets, such as providing comfortable resting areas and gentle exercise routines to maintain their health and mobility. I treat every pet as if they were my own, prioritizing their safety and happiness. I work from home full time. I’m available weekday mornings and midday (with advance notice). On weekend days schedule is flexible to accommodate your pet’s needs. I will ensure your pet’s safety and meet all their needs, whether that means crating them or providing close supervision—whatever keeps them comfortable and secure.

About: My friendships with cats and dogs began as a child having both as pets. I have been a dog walker and housesitter/personal assistant in San Francisco for years and am now spending most of my time back here at home. I cared for medium and large sized dogs there with daily adventures to the beach, hikes and visiting all the amazing parks there. I love caring for client's pets in various cities as well as locally. I also spend time with smaller dogs plus some cats throughout New Orleans. I look forward to meeting your pets here! Often dogs are on new and healthy diets so I like to learn about your pets needs. Treats are given according to direction from you. I respect all pets diets and details of their routines. I love to take photos and video of your pets on their walks, playtime and lounging afterwards to share with you. I have an online business so my schedule is flexible and can be available throughout the day and evening. I am available for overnight stays. Generally I care for pets within their home so that their routines and eating schedule stay the same. That way it is less stressful for them when their person is out of town. Like us, they love their familiar surroundings, bedding, neighborhood, etc. I follow the rules of their house and happy to serve them at home. As a former property manager, I am a respectful caretaker of your home while there and can handle things that can come up for you.

“So lovely, kind and caring for my cat- would definitely book again!”

About: I've owned pets since I was a baby. I've cared for everything from a dog to a horse to a gerbil. I love animals more than humans and want to make sure your babies are cared for and loved when you can't. I've used Rover and Wag in the past for my own personal babies and want to help others when they need a sitter. I was previously a foster for several Anchorage, Alaska Animal shelters so I have experience caring for all ages and sizes. I have experience administering medicine and managing difficult diets. I work from home with a very relaxed schedule so I can leave the house at all hours of the day and can offer specialized and very attentive care. I have a fenced in backyard and two very friendly dogs and two affectionate and loving cats that love to meet new friends. I have a spare room where I can house the more timid animals, including cats.

“From our first conversation, I knew I was making the right choice choosing Amberly as our sitter. She's attentive, communicates well, flexible, very generous with her time, and went above and beyond to make our very needy dog comfortable and happy. Amberly really helped ease my anxiety about leaving our pets and did a fantastic job taking care of them all.”

“Excellent care!”

About: I truly enjoy taking care of pets because they add so much to our earthly experience. I’ve taken care of dogs who’ve needed a wide range of specialized care due to emotional/physical trauma and maturing into senior care. I’m very patient and flexible and want to do what I can to deeply understand you and your pets’ needs. I will be off from 9 to 5 all of May! I’m available mornings and afternoons (lunchtime). I’ll have a lot of flexibility so, I’m open to pet sitting too. I don’t just treat pets as if it was my own; I treat pets as humans and ensure they are respected and properly cared for. I live in a rental apartment that does not permit pets, so I would have to care for the pet in your home. This means that I will honor your space, respect your privacy, and ensure cleanliness at all times.

15. Jennifer K.
“I’ve been grateful enough to have known Jen K for going on 14 years here in New Orleans and couldn’t be more happy to welcome her to Rover! My recommendation is easy to write as I’ve worked with her in a professional restaurant setting and then continued admiring her work as she focused more on pet care and wellbeing. She is reliable, trustworthy, caring, loving and most of all, treats all beings with a lovely softness that can only come with true empathy and kindness. She has so many strengths and qualities to highlight but the one I’d like to mention first is the glow she gets from talking about the connections she’s made with those furry friends she cares for here in New Orleans and also in San Francisco! The bond she creates with these felines and canines alike is undeniable while listening to her fun tales of special moments and memories they created together during their visits. I’m so happy she is back in New Orleans now so I can share her gifts of happiness and warmth and belly laughs and wisdom. All of these qualities no doubt are felt by humans and furballs alike! I joined Rover two years ago and truly feel that with a background in service and a keen interest in creating bonds to promote an environment of happiness, safety and care while you cannot be there is precisely what makes a great pet care giver! I’ve been proud and happy to recommend and share Jen to all of my families when I cannot be there for them! Welcome to Rover, Jen! We are all lucky to have you here!”
