About: I grew up taking care of and living with different animals (dogs, horses, and cats), and it truly brings me joy. I love sharing my animals with others just as much as I enjoy having others share their animals with me! I have 2 cats and 1 dog of my own, and I also have experience dog sitting overnight for many family and friends, ranging from 1 night stays to 2 week stays. I'm very active, so playing and walking/running with your dog will be fun for me and the dogs! But I also enjoy lounging and taking cat (and dog) naps too! I'm very organized, clean, and responsible. I'm currently a 4th year medical student and am looking to make some extra money before beginning my residency. I'm a medical student, so my schedule is pretty flexible on a day-to-day basis. I can stop by to quickly feed or let someone out, and I can also schedule larger blocks of time for walks, playing, or just spending time with your animals. I've found animals to be great study buddies :) I want to know how you and your pet interact, what they like, what they don't like, what their routines are, etc., so that I can make their time with me as close to what it would be like with you! If they sleep in bed with you every night, they'll sleep with me as well. If they always have a greenie after breakfast, I'll make sure we don't forget those. If they have to do some tricks or commands before a treat, I'll reinforce that too. I'll do my very best to treat your pets as you would.
âLindsay was excellent with my shy pup, and he warmed up to her quickly. She provided lots of pictures and feedback and made us feel super comfortable that our pup was in the right hands. Highly recommend!â

About: I am a highly athletic and dependable pet sitter and walker. I have worked with petite yorkies all the way up to great pyrenes. I believe in positive reinforcement and transparency. Let me know how I can best serve your pet(s)! I am available Thursday-Sunday, and most mornings. I like to be active and can run dogs for 30 minutes, or walk for an hour at a time. I grew up in a household where we walk our dogs twice daily, no exceptions. I believe physical and mental exercises are necessary for all animals we share our homes with.

âAdam is always so great with our dogs! One of them can be a bit wary of new people but she ran straight up to him and they always have a great time and nap afterward!â

âDarin is a great friend to animals and goes at their speed which is important for one of our girls who is unsure of everything. He is also communicative and reliable. Would absolutely recommend!â

About: My friendships with cats and dogs began as a child having both as pets. I have been a dog walker and housesitter/personal assistant in San Francisco for years and am now spending most of my time back here at home. I cared for medium and large sized dogs there with daily adventures to the beach, hikes and visiting all the amazing parks there. I love caring for client's pets in various cities as well as locally. I also spend time with smaller dogs plus some cats throughout New Orleans. I look forward to meeting your pets here! Often dogs are on new and healthy diets so I like to learn about your pets needs. Treats are given according to direction from you. I respect all pets diets and details of their routines. I love to take photos and video of your pets on their walks, playtime and lounging afterwards to share with you. I have an online business so my schedule is flexible and can be available throughout the day and evening. I am available for overnight stays. Generally I care for pets within their home so that their routines and eating schedule stay the same. That way it is less stressful for them when their person is out of town. Like us, they love their familiar surroundings, bedding, neighborhood, etc. I follow the rules of their house and happy to serve them at home. As a former property manager, I am a respectful caretaker of your home while there and can handle things that can come up for you.
About: I have been doing in-home pet care services (walks, drop-in, overnights, transportation) for 4 years, and I have cared for dogs and cats since I was a very young child. I grew up with pets and have had my own personal pets throughout my adult life. I have also volunteered at ARNO (no-kill animal shelter) & have vet tech experience (East Riverside, NOLA). I am currently not working, so my schedule is pretty wide open. I have other things I do in my personal life but nothing is set in stone. So, at this time I have the ability to be pretty flexible. I will care for your pets however you prefer. Whatever your needs and wants are, I will respect them. I was brought up with very good manners, so I respect other people's things/homes. I clean up after myself and will respect any rules you may have for me while in your home.
âElizabeth did a great job caring for Zelda She was also able to modify the days needed. Elizabeth spent time walking Zelda, giving here a snack and fresh waterâ

About: Although Iâve been sitting via Rover since November 2023, I have been house & pet-sitting for friends for many years. I have experience with very large dogs (i.e. 80+ lb German Shepherds) who are âdog-reactiveâ; walking same-residence dogs in pairs who have a large age difference; walking same-residence dogs separately due to large age difference; and multiple cats with a mix of indoor & outdoor plus indoor/outdoor hybrid. Since joining Rover, I have added quite a lot of experience with senior dogs including some who are sight and hearing impaired, as well as varying degrees of doggy dementia. Walking with dogs is genuinely one of my favorite things to do- I keep my phone pocketed during dog walks, both for safety and to simply enjoy the walk. Iâm a generous belly rubber & scratcher, am content to play catch on a near infinite loop, and am a happy recipient of licks from the pooches and biscuit-making from the kitties. I work from home booking live music entertainment for events. The vast majority of my work is laptop and phone based, with occasional in-person meetings and events to drop by. When I am on a pet stay I don't go out at night socially, and I cook at home or order in. I get out most days to exercise and every couple days to grocery shop. I have a hierarchy of my approach and goals when staying with pets. First, the foundation is safety & well being. This is safe walking, a safe home, eating & sleeping normally, medications, etc. Second is comfort and routine- my goal is for your pet to not be anxious because you are away. I look for signs of anxiety and do my best to allay fears & stress. Third is a love connection- when I depart from a pet stay, I want to miss your pets in the kind of way that you do when you have to leave home. And finally, given everything else goes according to plan, the lagniappe of a great stay is that your pet experienced a âstaycationâ - that they come to understand that my very existence is for them specifically, and maybe they get even more doted upon than they normally do, what with busy schedules and lives and such. The best sign of a great stay with your pet(s) is that when you return, while they are obviously happy to see you, they are pretty relaxed about it.
About: Iâve had dogs and cats in my life since I was a kid, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. One thing that sets me apart is my experience with senior and younger pets. I cared for my own dog in her later years when she developed back leg problems. I helped her move around the house, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her lots of love and patience every day. I additionally took care of my other dog in her early months waking up multiple times nightly to calm her down. Whether itâs a high-energy puppy or a senior pet needing extra care, Iâm confident in handling all kinds of needs. I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week, so Iâm able to care for pets whenever needed. Pet care easily fits my routine, and Iâm happy to adjust based on your pets specific needs and schedule.your pets comfort and routine will always come first. I believe pets are most comfortable and relaxed in their own home, which is why I only offer care in the clients space. I treat every home and pet with the same respect and care I would expect in return. Your pets safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities.
About: Hi! Iâve been around animals my whole life. My mom is a biologist so she taught me from a very young age how every living thing has a soul and a place in this world. She would pick up mice and spiders that got into our home with her hands and take them outside (instead of killing them). Needless to say, I am very comfortable around animals. Iâve had dogs and cats as pets my whole life and I consider myself pretty good with them, even when meeting stray cats or other peopleâs dogs in the street; I am very patient with them and always let them feel confident with me before I pet them. I have never house-sat for dogs before but I have taken care of roommateâs and friendâs dogs while they are at work or out of town, feeding them, and taking them for walks, etc. I have house-sat for my momâs cat before (at the end of 2021, actually, for her birthday) which you can read about in my testimonials. Full-disclosure â Iâm currently looking for a part-time job so I have plenty of time to play with your pups! I have a car so I can drive over to you, just let me know what your daily and weekly needs are so we can figure out a schedule :) Iâm currently not allowed to have any fur babies at my apartment so I will give your pups all the attention and play-time they want. Like I said above, Iâll let them get comfortable with me at their own pace but, of course, take care of their basic needs like food, water, and walks. Just let me know how they do with other dogs on the street and with other humans â if theyâre shy, really energetic, etc.
âStacy and Patrick are awesome! They always leave detailed reviews of our dogâs walk which makes us feel comforted. We also appreciate their availability whenever we need them. We know they can take care of our crazy husky. We highly recommend them!â

City Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
Lindsay is GREAT! Friendly, kind, punctual, communicative, and lets our very large, spunky dog give her alllll the face kisses! Most importantly, our dog loves her and took to her instantly upon meeting her â rare, as she can be a bit selective with new people. We are so, so happy to have found Lindsay and canât wait to book her for more walks and likely house sittings in the future! 10/10 recommend :)

Leora was so wonderful with Jess, who can be high energy and is generally extra excited to explore the world outside. Leora took her time to say hello for as long as Jess needed and it seemed like they had the most wonderful time together. Will definitely book again! Thank you!

Joey and Bodhi made an awesome duo! Joey is prompt, positive, a true dog lover, and an awesome communicator. He took Bodhi all over the city, showing him new sights and setting the bar high for any future sitter. Itâs clear Bodhi misses himâhe was such a great influence and brought out the best in my pup. It would be an honor to work with Joey again. Highly recommend!
