About: I have had dogs in my life since i was 11 years old (27 years). Last october i had to say goodbye to my companion of 11 years, Wanda. I am not ready for another dog of my own and want to be around your dogs as much as possible. I believe in reciprocal relational dynamics between humans and dogs are the best approach to training and trust, not dominance and control. I would like to care for your dog by building a relationship with them based on their personality and needs. Would love to meet you and your dog! I am currently a self-employed carpenter and bee keeper. My schedule is very flexible and i can work with you and your dogs schedule and needs. I live in a household with 3 other dogs who are my roommates', so I cannot board at my home, but am more than happy and available for caring for them at yours. I am good with all size and age of dogs.

About: Although I’ve been sitting via Rover since November 2023, I have been house & pet-sitting for friends for many years. I have experience with very large dogs (i.e. 80+ lb German Shepherds) who are ‘dog-reactive’; walking same-residence dogs in pairs who have a large age difference; walking same-residence dogs separately due to large age difference; and multiple cats with a mix of indoor & outdoor plus indoor/outdoor hybrid. Since joining Rover, I have added quite a lot of experience with senior dogs including some who are sight and hearing impaired, as well as varying degrees of doggy dementia. Walking with dogs is genuinely one of my favorite things to do- I keep my phone pocketed during dog walks, both for safety and to simply enjoy the walk. I’m a generous belly rubber & scratcher, am content to play catch on a near infinite loop, and am a happy recipient of licks from the pooches and biscuit-making from the kitties. I work from home booking live music entertainment for events. The vast majority of my work is laptop and phone based, with occasional in-person meetings and events to drop by. When I am on a pet stay I don't go out at night socially, and I cook at home or order in. I get out most days to exercise and every couple days to grocery shop. I have a hierarchy of my approach and goals when staying with pets. First, the foundation is safety & well being. This is safe walking, a safe home, eating & sleeping normally, medications, etc. Second is comfort and routine- my goal is for your pet to not be anxious because you are away. I look for signs of anxiety and do my best to allay fears & stress. Third is a love connection- when I depart from a pet stay, I want to miss your pets in the kind of way that you do when you have to leave home. And finally, given everything else goes according to plan, the lagniappe of a great stay is that your pet experienced a ‘staycation’ - that they come to understand that my very existence is for them specifically, and maybe they get even more doted upon than they normally do, what with busy schedules and lives and such. The best sign of a great stay with your pet(s) is that when you return, while they are obviously happy to see you, they are pretty relaxed about it.

“Anne has been thorough and mindful of all our pets needs. She pays close attention to their moods, preferences,, activities, and the ways they interact with one another. She took time to bond with all of them and they seemed to appreciate seeing her when we were away. She even noticed our garden and took the time, unprompted, to water it.”

“Faith took great care of my two senior cats while I was away. She also brought in mail/packages and provided great communication. I would not hesitate to use her again!”

“Mindy is always great with Scout! I appreciate how communicative she is when she enters the home. She sends lots of pictures of Scout playing, being a goofball, and overall enjoying her company! I tell Scout “Aunty Mindy” is coming over and he quickly runs to the door to look for her.”

“Kelly did a great job dropping in regularly to watch my cats while I was away on a trip. I got regular updates every day and I could feel that I left my cats in capable hands.”

About: I have an incredible love for animals. I even learn their temperament to better understand them. I'm the type of person to get down on all fours to connect and play with your pet. I'm sure we'll have a strong bond before the visit is over. I love taking them for walks because I love to exercise and they love it too! I work from home so I have a bunch of spare time and love to give. My attention will be on your pet 90% of the time if they're with me, even if I have multiple pets. I can even teach your dog some new tricks. You ever heard that saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" well that's not true when it comes to me. I create such a bond through trust that we basically start speaking the same language. Hope to meet you and your lovely pretty soon! I’m currently working from home, so I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be present and attentive to your dog throughout the day. Whether it’s overnight boarding or daycare, your dog will receive plenty of outdoor time, interaction, and care. I take them outside for exercise every 2-3 hours, and in between, they can relax in their crates provided by you. I’m also available for drop-ins and dog walks, making sure your pets at home are well taken care of, fed, and exercised. No matter the time of day, I’m here for your pets! When your dog stays with me, safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a large yard where they can play and get plenty of exercise under my close supervision. For overnight stays, the dogs will stay in the crates you provide, which I make sure are covered with blankets and kept warm with space heaters when needed to ensure they’re comfortable no matter the weather. I also keep a close eye on dogs that may not socialize well with others to make sure everyone feels safe and happy. At your home, I make sure your pets are well-fed, exercised, and comfortable, providing the same level of care and attention as I would with my own.

About: I have over 10 years of personal experience caring for my own dogs and two cats, including puppies and senior pets. I’m skilled in daily routines like feeding, walking, administering medications, and providing gentle, patient care. As a junior groomer, I have hands-on training in bathing, brushing, and nail trims, which helps keep pets comfortable and clean during their stay. I often care for pets alongside my boyfriend, who has experience and helps with walks, feeding, and cuddles. We make a great pet care team! I treat every pet like family, prioritizing safety, consistency, and lots of love💕 Pet care is an important part of my weekly routine. I work full-time Wednesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM, so I’m available to care for pets after work on those days and all day Monday and Tuesday. This schedule allows me to provide focused, attentive care during evenings and most of the week, ensuring pets receive the love and attention they deserve💕 In my client’s home, I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and respect. I follow their pet’s routine closely, keep doors and gates secure, and make sure pets feel calm and cared for. Monty G.
“Monty has been my go-to dog walker since 2022. I really appreciate how well they connect with my dog (she is all wags whenever they see each other, and she is not like that with everyone!) and it means a lot to me to be able to send her for a walk with someone I trust when I'm not able to myself. They're approach in relating to dogs really puts me at ease. They are a patient listener when my dog is trying to communicate something, but also balance that well with asserting limits. I think it really helps my dog feel secure with them. They are also reliable, courteous, and consistent in communicating with me, not just my dog. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a responsible, caring dog walker.”

Joel J.Star Sitter
“Joel is an experienced and reliable dog sitter. Though new to Rover, he has been caring for my two Beagles over the past 5 years. He is incredibly respectful of our needs (dogs too!). He is open to doing drop ins or long stays. He goes above and beyond and even picks up my mail and checks my plants. When you travel a lot like I do, having a reliable trustworthy person like Joel who can watch the dogs is a game changer.”

Caprice W.
“Caprice is the best! She walks my dog Lilo every morning at 10am, and he absolutely adores her. From the very beginning, he was obsessed — and it’s easy to see why. Caprice is kind, patient, and so loving with him. She often brings her boyfriend along on the walks, and they make such a great pair. It’s incredibly wholesome to see them both playing with Lilo — he lights up around them! They genuinely enjoy spending time with him, and it really shows. Lilo always comes back happy, tired, and clearly feeling loved. Caprice is reliable, communicative, and clearly cares deeply for the dogs she walks. I feel totally at ease knowing Lilo is in such good hands every day. Highly, highly recommend her!”
