“Daphne cared for our 16 year old cat for 9 days while we were out of the country. We received detailed updates and pictures twice a day. It was clear that she made a real effort to coax our elderly cat to eat, spent time just sitting with her on her lap,and making her feel "tended to". She also had no problem administering several medications that she takes, and seemed very competent and knowledgeable. She volunteered to take out our trash bins, and turned on and off our porch lights. Daphne is mature and able to handle any pet or home situation, she communicates effectively, and I would not hesitate to use her again.”

About: Hello! I have had several types of pets over the years from dogs and cats to birds, reptiles and even raccoons! I have worked in pet grooming and boarding facilities working with 20 - 30 dogs at once. These days, i spend most of my free time at the dog park with my dog Crawfish. I currently work part-time in the service industry but my schedule is quite flexible. I am able to adjust it quite easily with a little notice. I am a clean and trustworthy. I have had several background checks from the city of New Orleans as recently as 3 months ago. I am able to follow instruction, and will leave your house the way I found it.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was 6 years old. I currently have 3 dogs, a cat, and a chinchilla in my family that I care for. I absolutely adore all animals. I work for a nature institute and have a lot of experience meeting the needs of and caring for a variety of animals. I can care for dogs, cats, small animals, reptiles, and birds. I work full time, Monday through Friday. I am available for drop in visits and day care after 5:30 on weekdays. I am available most weekends at any time. I have 2 housemates that love dogs and cats. Your pet will be given a lot of love and attention from us. We have a small backyard but a good walk around the neighborhood will always be given!

I also have experience working with patients with a variety of needs. I always say, my house is Wollie’s and Cubbie’s (my 2 puppies) house, I’m just living in it. That should tell you everything you need to know. Some weeks are very busy at work and some weeks are very light with lots of free time. When I’m not working in the hospital I very much love and prefer time with dogs. I’ve got 2 Malteses with their own unique and eccentric quirks. For example every night my firstborn loves for me to pick him up like a baby and rock him head on should while he growls at the world and that is ok. Britt works a hybrid schedule, which allows flexibility for walks, playtime, enrichment, and plenty of one-on-one attention. Time Alone: Dogs are typically not left alone for more than a few hours at a time. Walks & Potty Breaks: Regular walks and backyard potty breaks are built into our daily routine. We’re happy to follow your dog’s normal schedule as closely as possible. Overnights: We’re home overnight and keep a calm, consistent evening routine. We maintain a calm, thoughtfully managed home environment with our pup, Jessie 🐾 She’s a gentle, easygoing dog who has been doing great with others, and we’re very intentional about compatibility when accepting bookings. We only overlap stays when it feels like a great fit for everyone involved, and we’re always happy to do slow introductions or keep dogs fully separate if needed. Your dog’s comfort and safety always come first. We live in a cozy, converted New Orleans shotgun-style house that’s easy to section off depending on your pup’s needs — whether they prefer their own space or like to stay close by. We also have a double-secured fenced yard that’s perfect for safe outdoor play and potty breaks. Since we both work from home (James full-time, Britt hybrid), your pup will rarely be left alone and will always have a calm, animal-loving presence around. Britt is especially experienced with senior dogs and special routines, while James is patient and gentle with shy or nervous pups, particularly those who may need extra time warming up to men. We’re happy to accommodate crate training, medication, and specific routines to help your dog feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for while they’re with us.
