“Elizabeth was prompt with her visits and reports. She made me feel secure about being away from Tula. Everything was in order when we returned. I would trust her to check on her again if needed.”

“I cannot recommend Amanda enough! I’m was so glad and relieved that my Bijli had an attentive and caring person handling her. Our meet and greet sealed the deal. Amanda asked important questions and was great with my dogs special needs (my dog is incontinent and needs diapers and frequent pee breaks) We’re definitely booking her services whenever we are in Nola again: Thank you Amanda! It was a pleasure meeting you”

“Ashley was so easy to work with and took such good care of my boy. It was my wedding night, and my dog was the ring bearer, but I needed someone to take care of him for a little while during the reception. She made the process so stress free. Just an invaluable peace of mind during the chaos of a wedding! Would highly recommend her to take care of your furbabies.”

“Hannah took such wonderful care of our beloved kitty, Minou, over the holidays (including Christmas and New Year’s) for two full weeks. From the moment we booked, she was flexible, communicative, and totally committed to ensuring Minou had everything he needed—plus plenty of love and attention. Not only did we come home to an extremely happy and content kitty, but Hannah also went above and beyond by helping with a few little household things that popped up while we were away. Her frequent updates gave us peace of mind, and it was clear how much she genuinely cares about animals. We’re so glad we found her, and we’ll absolutely be booking Hannah again next time Minou needs a sitter!”

“Always puts my mind at ease when I have to travel out of town at the last minute and I know Daphane is watching George. Thorough, lots of pictures and good communication.”

About: Hi, my name is Xander, and I am an animal lover living in Mid-City New Orleans, Louisiana. The majority of my petcare experience is with animals living with disabilities. These have been long-term stays and frequent check-in clients, mostly. I have experience with disabilities impacting mobility, heat-tolerance, respiratory issues, and neurological ability. Love caring for young and healthy furry friends too! However, when you need someone who will communicate clearly and transparently - someone who can give a little extra love: I’m your girl! Outside of the pet care world, I am a freelance radio producer and audio artist. Description of Skills: I am comfortable doing cat/dog feeding, providing long walks, facilitating specific exercises, and administering medications orally, nasally/inhaler, and via IM injection in both cats and dogs. I also have personal transportation available. Booking An Appointment: Send a message and I'll respond ASAP! I work as a freelance audio engineer and sound designer. My schedule is highly flexible outside of short, collaborative meetings with clients and co-producers. Pet care can be a larger part of my weekly schedule. I will always seek clarity on locations, frequency, and how to best monitor food and feeding. For medications, specific walk paths, or important health disclosures, I ask that Per Parents provide me with a bit of writing that covers the needs of their pet :)

About: Although I’ve been sitting via Rover since November 2023, I have been house & pet-sitting for friends for many years. I have experience with very large dogs (i.e. 80+ lb German Shepherds) who are ‘dog-reactive’; walking same-residence dogs in pairs who have a large age difference; walking same-residence dogs separately due to large age difference; and multiple cats with a mix of indoor & outdoor plus indoor/outdoor hybrid. Since joining Rover, I have added quite a lot of experience with senior dogs including some who are sight and hearing impaired, as well as varying degrees of doggy dementia. Walking with dogs is genuinely one of my favorite things to do- I keep my phone pocketed during dog walks, both for safety and to simply enjoy the walk. I’m a generous belly rubber & scratcher, am content to play catch on a near infinite loop, and am a happy recipient of licks from the pooches and biscuit-making from the kitties. I work from home booking live music entertainment for events. The vast majority of my work is laptop and phone based, with occasional in-person meetings and events to drop by. When I am on a pet stay I don't go out at night socially, and I cook at home or order in. I get out most days to exercise and every couple days to grocery shop. I have a hierarchy of my approach and goals when staying with pets. First, the foundation is safety & well being. This is safe walking, a safe home, eating & sleeping normally, medications, etc. Second is comfort and routine- my goal is for your pet to not be anxious because you are away. I look for signs of anxiety and do my best to allay fears & stress. Third is a love connection- when I depart from a pet stay, I want to miss your pets in the kind of way that you do when you have to leave home. And finally, given everything else goes according to plan, the lagniappe of a great stay is that your pet experienced a ‘staycation’ - that they come to understand that my very existence is for them specifically, and maybe they get even more doted upon than they normally do, what with busy schedules and lives and such. The best sign of a great stay with your pet(s) is that when you return, while they are obviously happy to see you, they are pretty relaxed about it.

“Lindsay took great care of Oscar! I really appreciated her updates and all the photos she took. Gave me a lot of peace of mind while we were out of town for an extended period. Would definitely book her again!”

About: I was always the one to take care of our families dogs while growing up, so I have a lot of experience! Smaller dogs, bigger dogs, senior dogs…does not matter to me! I am currently ending an Americorps term so I have all the time in the world to play with your pups! I also always appreciate a daily dose of serotonin :) I always make sure there are clear instructions or specifics provided by the client when watching their pups if necessary! A safe and trustful environment is crucial in this type of work, which is my number one priority. An attentive attitude is also crucial, especially when being in a clients home.

“Molly was great! She took care of our puppy for three afternoons and always stayed in close communication. We will definitely hire her again!”

“It was nice to meet Ryan and I look forward to him walking/checking in on the dogs”

About: Skilled pet sitter with 3 years of experience. I sincerely enjoy spending time with all animals and I strive to treat every cat or dog as if they were my own! Happy to help when and where I'm needed along with providing any critical care that may be required. Please know that I will gladly spoil your pet to the fullest extent (: I'm currently working part-time while also being in the Army National Guard! I tend to be free majority of the week and normally the weekends as well if I don't have drill. Please feel free to message me with any availability inquiries that you may have (: If boarding, I have a fenced in yard along with a spacious home that includes french doors that I can close off from the rest of my house in case I'm babysitting a small kitten or puppy that may require a watchful eye!

About: I grew up with four large dogs and cared for them for over 10 years, so being around dogs feels second nature to me. For the past four years, I’ve also been walking and caring for dogs of friends and neighbors, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of temperaments, sizes, and routines. Whether it’s an energetic pup or a senior dog needing a little extra TLC, I bring patience, reliability, and genuine love for animals to every visit. I work a steady 8–3 job Monday through Friday, which gives me availability for early morning or evening walks during the week. I’m also fully available on weekends for walks, check-ins, or longer visits. I enjoy spending time with animals, so I always make space in my routine to give them the attention and care they deserve. When caring for pets in their own homes, I prioritize making them feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I follow any routines or instructions you provide closely, whether it’s feeding, walking, administering medication, or simply spending quality time with your pet. I treat your home and belongings with respect, ensuring everything stays clean and safe. My goal is to keep your pet happy and relaxed while you’re away.

“Hanna did a great job taking care of our two dogs this weekend. They are not easy to deal with and they were well taken care of all weekend. We loved the pictures, and plenty of care was given to their needs. Would love to have Hanna take care of them again next time we’re out of town.”

About: Me and my wife both love dogs so much, we treat them like family and have adopted a pup into our family! I am currently an unemployed teacher, which means I am home full-time. I have experience watching and caring for dogs that have separation anxiety, physical disabilities, strict medication regiments, hyperactivity and much more. I love taking my dog on long walks and runs and would love to take your dog too! Our dog is a great companion to any dog, he can be very calm in the home and he can also be very active for those that need a play partner. We love all dogs and love making them happy and loved. We would love to look after your dog! I am fully available to watch and care for your pup. At the moment I only have a regular drop-in around 1 pm everyday otherwise I’m free for any schedule. I have a fenced in backyard if I’m hosting your pup at my place. My dog is an escape artist so I’m well WELL trained on keeping a dog safe and in safe places. I can crate or anything you need.
