“Magdalena was incredible! She kept me informed about how my cat Freeway was doing, was always responsive, and sent a lot of pictures (which made my day). Both Freeway and I were lucky to have her care — would 100% rebook.”

“Natalia was very responsive and nice to work with! She was so caring with our kitties and spent extra time with them by playing and giving pets. She followed directions and asked questions if she had them. She provided photos and videos. Would definitely hire Natalia again!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats for over 15 years through my own pets and helping care for family and friend’s animals. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, bathing, playtime, and keeping pets on their routines. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely love animals, and I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I currently work part-time, so my schedule is fairly flexible and I have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. My availability may change as my work schedule changes, but I’ll always communicate my availability clearly and make sure I can commit to the care I agree to provide. I’m happy to work around my schedule when possible and I’m especially flexible on days I’m not working. I treat every client’s home with the same care and respect I would my own. I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine, make sure they’re safe and comfortable, and keep their environment clean and secure. I’m respectful of your space and will always be responsible, attentive, and communicative while you’re away.

About: I'm intimately familiar with cats and their body language and have been taking care of my silly accident-prone orange boy for 6 years. For the past few years, I've taken care of multiple cats at a time, have rescued kittens, and house-sat for other cat owners. I know how to handle the crazy kitties that may love or hate strangers. I go to classes every weekday until 2:30pm, freeing up my entire afternoon to care for people's pets! I also have my own car, allowing me to travel more reliably. I brush, feed, water, and play with clients' pets while remaining respectful of their homes. I am a quick learner when it comes to understanding an animal's preferences, including sitting with them the entire time they eat to help them feel secure.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. I feel as though lots of people want dogs but don’t care to learn how to properly take care of them so, I go above and beyond to take care of the dogs I am able to take care of within my power. I would like to have a meet and greet before I take on any assignments. I am a TA for Oak Park 97 school district. I love animals; especially dogs. I have a degree in Zoology and seek a career working with animals. I usually am free after 3:30 pm Monday through Friday and have open availability most weekends. I try to respond to messages as soon as possible and will work to accommodate your pets needs as best as I can. I make sure that my client’s pet’s feel safe as possible when they’re with me. While walking, I won’t let the client’s dog interact with other people or dogs because you never know how dogs will react with strangers or other dogs. That is unless the owner gives me permission to do so. If feeding is required I will make sure that the dog gets the appropriate amount of food for their breed or per the owner’s instructions. If need be I will also play with the dog and make sure they get the appropriate amount of exercise that they need.
About: I've been a dog owner since I was 9 years old, so I know how important these furry guys are to their person! I've also volunteered at shelter's and have worked at a pet store giving customers the best advice to my ability and helping them. Be it dog/cat food, toys, collars, pet care, and much more! I will pay attention to your furry one and make them feel loved from the short time that they are away from you and give them the best experience that I can! I'm currently in school studying to become a Veterinarian! My Shih-Tzu Chuey made my life full of good memories and I want to make sure that every dog I can help is helped and lives a life full of love.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs all my life. Started with my bichon frise. We got her when I was a baby, so we basically grew up together. She was fully trained, playful and love going for a ride. Sadly she passed away last year. Now I get to watch over relatives dogs. A Labrador and a mix American pitbull terrier. Which motivated me to become a dog sitter. Hello everyone 👋🏼 I have $40 off their booking. I am now in summer school my days availably are Monday & Wednesday through 11am-1:45pm I am off Tuesday through Sunday I am happy to talk more availability dates😉 I have 3 cats that are dog friendly. But I do have a separate room and porch (With a window because they love looking outside) to keep them separate from other fur babies if needed.

About: I’m always the go to person to take care of loved ones pets done pets. They trust me and know I will watch over them and attend to their needs. I’m very attentive and pay attention to them. Will never leave them out of my sight. I can care for any dog after 5pm to 11pm Monday through Friday and if I am open to the weekend as well, I will gladly be able to have service open for Saturday and Sunday. Whatever the client needs for their dog, I can help. If they want a calm area space, I can provide that. If they are affectionate or attentive, I can provide that. Much energized dogs, I’m able to take them on walks and play with them until they feel tired. They are allowed on couch and beds if the owner feels comfortable doing that. My great uncle taught me everything I need to know about animals; from how to take care of him to what they need to survive and how to make them feel comfortable and safe .He made sure I understood that humans are no better than animals we all need love and patience . My job is to create a beautiful fun loving friend I am your friends so that they can be understood and cared for and loved . Maribel was perfect! I needed someone to administer medication to my cat 3 times a day over a holiday weekend with the least amount of stress possible and my mom was there to witness how professional and punctual she was. My cat Alfie is so thankful that he was was in pawfessional hands while he recovered from his urinary obstruction! ❤️❤️❤️ couldn’t recommend Mari more!

Heather was the best pet sitter we have ever had. Thank you. She was excellent at communication, and our cats loved her. Our 2 cats have been shy around previous sitters, but they were not with Heather. That's so important when you are away from your pets to know that they are getting the attention they need.
Wendy is the most amazing pet sitter we have ever hired. Rover.com is lucky to have her on board. Communicaton: Outstanding. Pet Care: Phenomenal. Attention to Detail: Perfection. Wendy made sure all of the little things were taken care of as well, like sweeping around the litter box, bringing in mail, washing down heavy use areas.... holy cow, is this girl GOOD. Highly recommended.
Another great booking with Rosario! We booked her for drop in visits for our dog while we were out of state for a wedding. She always sends lots of photos and videos of our boy having a great time - putting us at ease that he’s in good hands. Our return flight got cancelled multiple times and Rosario was so helpful and flexible with extending her visits so our boy wasn’t left alone until we finally got home two days later. We are so grateful!

Natalia is wonderful, she is incredibly responsive and provides feedback on each visit. She was comfortable taking my energetic Great Dane puppy on a walk, which I know he loved - with me being at work for so long. An additional thing I appreciate is she is super flexible and always willing to work with our crazy schedules. 10/10 recommend.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
