“This was my first time to use Rover and from the very beginning I was so happy with Priscilla and Mike. Fiona took to Mike right away and seemed to want to be his bestie! I've now found my dog sitter for any future trips or needs. Both are such nice people and help rescue dogs in need. I wish them success and will definitely use them again.”

About: Although I have no official skills and training...yet, but I grew up caring for animals. For 18 years I lived on a small farm in Michigan where we raised chickens, rabbits, goats, alpacas, dogs, and cats. These animals were my beloved pets and would get shown at the county fair every summer. Since moving away I have accumulated three cats of my own. As I continue to figure things out and gain experience I can promise that all pets under my care will be well cared for, loved, and that all owners will receive top notch communication. I have just separated from the Navy and am unable to get another job due to some traveling I have planned over the next couple months. I am free all day pretty much any day! I do not offer sitting or boarding in my home due to my cats not appreciating outsiders, but I am more than happy to go to your house and do whatever is needed!
About: I have had pets for 17 years and so far I have 2 cats and 5 very friendly dogs. I know every behavior and jests at them or if they feel sick I am at home full time. The only time I go out is to go to the market and the occasional medical appointment. The rest of the time I will be caring for and raising your little loved one. My house has a secure fence, a yard to run around in. They will have fun meeting new friends. When they get tired they will sleep in a bed or blanket if they want.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life. When I was active duty I spent a lot of time watching other service members pets. I would help any time they needed! I trained my own dogs and keep their activity levels up! I am doing school online so I have a VERY flexible schedule! I’m also active so I can do lots of walks and potty breaks! Patience it key! I believe all dogs are incredibly smart they just need a second to understand! Food motivation is always a good trick to help get them on the right track!

About: Having 4+ years of volunteering at my animal shelter has given me the experience to handle various kinds of dogs and their personality traits. I primarily bring them out in the play yards to get their daily exercise so to do this outside the shelter would be like my ideal day of never ending fun. On my free-time I like to research dog breeds and learn anything dog-related. I also love to run my dog blog on instagram. I would like to commit at least 3 days of full-time availability. Nighttime hours (6-11PM) is probably my preferred time because I'm almost always available then. Dogs deserve the exercise and love they need while their owners are away and I'll do my best to make make sure they get it. My house-sitting routine is set to ensure your pet receives consistent, attentive care throughout the day. On weekdays, I provide morning care before heading to work (which begins at 8:00 AM in Chula Vista). Depending on my route, I’m typically available again between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. After work, I return to spend a few hours feeding, caring for, and giving your pet plenty of attention. I then briefly check in on my own pets before coming back to your home for the evening and overnight care. On weekends, I have greater flexibility. I am available every Saturday and every other Sunday, allowing me to dedicate even more time and attention to your pet’s needs. Caring for your pet is both a joy and a responsibility I take seriously. While you’re away, they’ll be treated like one of my own—with lots of love, attention, and care. I like to follow a detailed care sheet outlining your pet’s usual routine so I can mirror it as closely as possible, helping them feel comfortable and at ease in your absence. You can also expect plenty of adorable updates, and I’m always available if you or I have any questions along the way.
About: Hi! I’m a Zoology student working toward becoming a veterinarian, as well as a Military Conservation Agent veteran with hands-on animal care experience. I’m especially comfortable with dogs that need a little extra attention, including large breeds, anxious or reactive dogs, senior dogs, and pets recovering from medical procedures. I have dog training experience and am confident handling dogs with different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. My animal experience also includes working with wildlife such as bears, large cats, wolves, and coyotes, including emergency animal care and working alongside veterinarians. For pets with medical needs, I can administer medications, follow veterinary care instructions, monitor recovery, and watch closely for changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, or overall condition. I understand that emergencies and last-minute situations happen, so I may be able to accommodate short-notice bookings when other sitters are unavailable without meet & greet. My priority is always to keep your dog safe, comfortable, calm, and well cared for while giving you regular updates and peace of mind. As a full-time student, I have a flexible schedule outside of my lab sessions. I’m available for early mornings, evenings, and most daytime hours, and I can often adjust my schedule to fit your pet’s needs. I may also be available for last-minute or short-notice bookings when my schedule allows. I have professional experience handling high-drive, reactive, and challenging animals, including wolfdogs and wildlife. I’m confident working with strong breeds and know how to handle them safely, calmly, and with good judgment. I always respect your home, property, and your pet’s routine. During walks and stays, I use safe handling techniques and closely monitor your dog’s behavior and condition. I can also provide basic first aid, administer medications as instructed, and support established training or behavior routines when needed.
About: My family and I have had dogs since I was a kid. I’ve lived with up to 5 dogs at a time. Now, I am the proud momma of two cats, Zoe and Emma. You can describe me as the millennial whose sole purpose is to provide a full and fun life for my fur babies. At this time, I am a full time student and on my off days I hope to care for and go on walks with your fur babies. I plan my responsibilities ahead of time, so my calendar will be updated regularly to give you the most updated availability. I am always aware and present during my time with pets. I will prioritize their safety and well-being. I would love to have meet and greets where you tell me all about your specific concerns and we can talk about how I can help ease those concerns!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 13. I am dependable and very loving towards dogs. Whether your dog needs a quick potty break or a long energetic walk, I am here to help. I am currently a student at San Diego State University and am now on break for a couple months. I have very open availability on mornings and afternoons throughout the week. I will always be keeping on eye out for your dog and making sure they are safe. I will tailor the walks to your dogs needs and always use secure leashes.
About: I’m a lifelong animal lover and have enjoyed caring for pets my whole life. I had my sweet girl Stella, a pug, for 13 years. I crate, potty, and recall trained her as a puppy, fed her a balanced diet of vitamins and homemade food throughout her life, and gave her loving, gentle care in her senior hospice years. I’ve also cared for my mom’s boxer for a year and even taught her, her favorite trick… tossing a treat up with her nose and catching it! I’ve looked after my friends’ pets as well, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, senior dogs, birds (parrot), a chameleon, and special mentioned of a disabled Frenchie who needed a little extra help to go potty. I make friends with any neighborhood kitties when they let me. Usually just takes a bit of chicken or turkey. Lol I have a pretty flexible schedule, so I can work around almost any animals needs. I work Amazon Flex so I set my own hours and only do 1-2 hr shifts (sometimes multiple times a day). If I leave the house, I am gone for a max of 3-4 hrs or less depending on where I’m delivering to. I’m patient, attentive, and dedicated to making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while in my care. I treat every animal as if they were my own and understand that giving their family peace of mind makes leaving them just a little bit easier.
About: I’ve lived and cared for animals since I was young. My dad is a veterinarian, so I’ve had the opportunity to care for dogs, cats, and other animals my whole life! I had my dog for 15 beautiful years and went through all the ups and downs of a dog parent. I administered her medication and provided as many accommodations and love she needed. Currently, I have one medium haired cat who is shy but incredibly sweet and friendly. I’ve had him since he was a kitten and has adjusted to our own little routine. I know how difficult it can be to leave a furry friend behind, so I’m here to relieve any stress you may have and provide as much comfort and care to your loved one! I currently work part-time so I have a flexible schedule. I’m a grad student, so if I’m not at work or class, I’m usually home hanging out with my cat :) My cat is very low maintenance and is used to dogs but if you prefer for him to be separated from your furry friend I can definitely make sure they are in different rooms! My apartment is pet friendly and has a grass area right upfront as well as a fenced yard they can go out to!

About: The Kind of Care I'd Want for My Own Pup/Kitty Dogs have been a part of my life for over 20+ years, and caring for them has always come naturally. I grew up with cats and dogs and have years of hands-on experience caring for my own pets as well as sitting and walking dogs for friends and family. I currently have a 6-year-old Belgian Malinois named Nova, so I'm very familiar with high-energy breeds that need both physical exercise and mental stimulation. We enjoy hiking, long walks, trips to the park, and staying active together. Whether your pup/kitty loves adventure or prefers a slower pace, I'll tailor their care to fit their personality and routine. I understand that every pup/kitty is unique, and I treat each one with the same patience, attention, and affection I give Nova. My goal is simple: to provide the kind of care I'd want for my own pup/kitty, safe, reliable, loving, and full of fun. I'll make sure you and your pup/kitty feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you're away, giving you complete peace of mind. I'm currently furthering my education, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pup/kitty. I'm available weekends and weekdays for house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks in the comfort of your home. Just message me to arrange! I'll treat your pup/kitty with the same love, attention, and care I give my own. When caring for your pup/kitty in your home, my priority is making sure you and your pup/kitty feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed by maintaining their normal routine. I'll follow all of your care instructions, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any special preferences or restrictions. I always treat your home with the same respect I would my own by keeping it clean, secure, and leaving it just as I found it. I'll also provide lots of updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pup/kittie is happy and well cared for while you're away. My goal is to build trust with both you and your pet by providing dependable, attentive, and loving care every visit.
About: Ever since I was young, my love for animals has been unwavering, and that passion continues to define me as an adult. I've always been the go-to person among my family and friends whenever they needed a pet sitter or extra assistance. I’m available to care for pets Monday through Sunday with enough advance notice to plan around my schedule and personal responsibilities. I’m happy to work with you to make sure your pet’s care fits comfortably into both your schedule and mine. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my priority. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, so I take the time to follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and household rules.

Holly is very reliable, punctual, and very trustworthy, which is extremely important to me. Woody was well taken care of, and I could tell he was comfortable and happy after the walk. I really appreciated the communication and the care she showed towards him. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for someone dependable to take care of their dog!

Great experience with our Rover dog walker, Isabella! She took excellent care of both of my dogs, was reliable, communicative, and clearly loves animals. My dogs came back happy and well exercised. I really appreciated the updates and photos during the walks. Highly recommend!

Nicolas is just great w dogs. He has a way with our big Staffy that keeps her in check and she still has a great relaxed walk. If you need an all around good person watching or walking your fur babies, Nicolas is the guy. I’m so lucky our family and our dog has met him.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
