“Kordell was amazing! This was my first time ever using Rover and I was a nervous wreck, but Kordell communicated effectively and sent daily updates and pics! Definitely will book again.”

“Alyssa was so good with our old girl! She has some trouble with stairs since she's an older girl but Alyssa moved her crate location so she could avoid the stairs. She also has some anxiety but it seems like Alyssa did a great job at helping her feel calm and relaxed in her new location. We will definitely be using her again when we next go out of town!”

“**Outstanding Pet Sitter!** I can’t say enough great things about Jessica and her husband! From start to finish, they were absolutely accommodating. They took such wonderful care of my 2 fur babies while we were away—sending regular updates, adorable photos, and making sure every little detail we gave them was handled perfectly. It was clear that they genuinely love animals and treats them like their own. When we came to pick them up, my babies were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Their house was spotless, very accommodating for any kind of animal! It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my pets were in such capable, loving hands. I highly recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and professional pet sitter. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! -Mary C.”

About: I have had pets since I was 5 years old and with my degree and career background in veterinary medicine, best believe your pets will be safe and taken care of while also being treated like family. I’m available after 2:30pm everyday and my days are completely open on the weekends. If I need to stop by in the early morning, I can as well. Pets will be loved on, walked, fed, and receive intimate quality time. I have two needy dogs myself so I completely understand the anxiety that can come with pets being alone so I will make sure to make them feel safe and provided for.
“Cody was so great! He communicated well, sent pictures and videos with updates, and gave my dog lots of love while I was away. He also was able to accommodate last minute changes in plans which helped us out so much. Definitely recommend him!”

“I had to take a last minute trip out of state and used Rover for the first time. I chose Libby and she was absolutely wonderful. She was easy to book last minute and she took good care of my fur babies. I have a 9 year old Samoyed/Husky mix and a 6 month old Samoyed. She was very responsive and sent the best pictures and videos of my babies. I highly recommend her and I will definitely book with Libby again in the future.”

“David and his wife were kind, thoughtful, and communicative throughout our entire trip. They have a beautiful home (with a big fenced in yard for zoomies) that your pets will love. They also sent lots of pictures and let me know how the doggies were doing every day. I would highly recommend David to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter! 🐶❤️🐶”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
