“Mike was terrific. His updates were wonderful and informative. He sent plenty of pics and all seemed well throughout and was fine when we returned. Thank you Mike!!”

“I’m so glad to have had Kyra take care of my cat again! Once again, Kyra had great communication and made sure my cat got the love and attention she needed while I was away! I’m very grateful to Kyra and would rebook again in a heartbeat!”

“Katie was a wonderful cat sitter! Our two girls were obviously well taken care of and loved! Previously when we would leave them we'd get a bit of the cold shoulder when we got home because they were mad at us for leaving, but not this time so obviously they really enjoyed spending time with Katie and her fiance. We got pictures every day, she was easy to communicate with and very reliable. We'll definitely ask Katie to come back again next time we're out of town!”

About: I have been an animal lover all of my life. I grew up with cats, caring for my beloved Walter until he passed at 20 years old. I have since had the pleasure of my own Lab (now 10) as well as experience in Doggy Day Care where I was playroom manager and responsible for dogs anywhere from 1-20 in one playroom at a time(room combo of an average of 45-55 dogs in the whole building split between rooms and size).I am looking forward to more one on one relationships with families and their pets. I am looking forward to a career as a Vet Technician, and plan to take classes in the Fall. At the moment, I am wide open to spend time with local pets as I prepare to return to school. My plan come Fall will be part time classes and more time animals. Pet care will be my priority in my weekly routine. I always spend time in advance with the fur babies to get to know them and importantly, discuss the pet parents' needs. Do they need special food? Special training at meals for over excited pups? How much do they like to play/walk? Do they like to interact with other pets or prefer to stay one on one with me? I am also extremely responsible in the homes of pet parents, cleaning up after the babies as well as making sure the home is secure.
“I’d easily recommend Jonny to anyone. Me and my wife have a fairy large dog who doesn’t love new people. With our wedding coming up we needed to find someone to pop in and check on him, Jonny did just that for us and alleviated a lot of our stress. Jonny was super flexible with his schedule, he took the time to get out dog comfortable with him. At first meeting our dog was on the aggressive side and Jonny didn’t flinch. He’s a true pro. Beyond that he’s a great guy, super calm and friendly, there was never a doubt about his character and leaving him access to our house. We will definitely be using him more in the future. I couldn’t recommend him more.”

“Stef, as always did an amazing job caring for our pets. She usually watches our energized pup but this time watched our quiet elusive cat. Stef kept up with food, water, litter box and played with our Harper (when she was willing to come out). We also appreciated that she noticed a lamp running too hot and turning it off, or turning on AC for our cat on a hotter day. We always know we can rest easy when Stef is caring for our pets.”

“Geoff went above and beyond and I am very happy with his services. Followed all instructions left and is a great communicator. Lucky is looking forward to his next visits from Geoff. Thank you!”

“Elissa was great. She was friendly and asked a lot of questions during the meet and greet. During the drop in, she gave the pups good playtime outdoors and they ate well. Arya and Yoshi had no signs of stress when we arrived home.”

“Maureen was amazing!! She took great care of our dog! She was attentive and sent us pictures of Cooper each time she went to see him which I really appreciated. She followed his schedule and we could tell he was well taken care of while we were away. She played with him each time she came to visit too and he looked so happy! I will definitely be reaching out to book Maureen the next time we go away!”

About: I have experience with both dogs and cats. I lived with my cousin and her dog for some time so her dog became my adopted dog. I enjoyed taking her on walks, playing with her, and making sure she is happy which made me happy. After some time, I moved out and got a cat. My cat was very playful, had a unique funny and cute character. But unfortunately she got very sick. There were many veterinary visits to take her to, administration of medications and making her last living few weeks as best as possible. I enjoy taking care of pets. I am an animal lover and am passionate about all animals. I currently have a flexible schedule so I can accommodate your pet’s needs. Both mornings and early afternoon work best for Monday through Friday :) I am respectful of my client’s home and treat pets as if they are my own. I am attentive and responsive to pet’s needs. My goal is to make sure your pets are comfortable and happy.
“Melissa was so sweet to our cat Hazel whom immediately took to her. Our road flooded and was closed due to a downed tree and she still came to feed her! I literally can't imagine someone nicer and more responsible.”

“Ashley doesn't just take care of our two high-maintenance cats - she makes sure everything in the house is safe, secure, and comfortable while we are away! I know it's all in good hands when Ashley is here.”

I also have cameras in my home for added peace of mind.
“Kelly is the absolute best. This was our first time on Rover, and her communications were clear and quick, and she did great work reassuring us that our pup was in good hands. Loved the photographs, and really appreciated the time she took to communicate with us by phone and by text. We’re only slightly concerned that our pup now likes her more than us! 😀 Hugely impressed with Kelly - she’ll take fab care of your pups.”

“Maxibel did an amazing job taking care of my two pups! From the start, communication was clear and consistent, which gave me so much peace of mind. It’s obvious how much she genuinely cares about animals my dogs were happy, well cared for, and comfortable the entire time. I came home to two relaxed and content pups, which says everything. I would absolutely trust Maxibel again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Nicole is so patient, kind, and friendly. My pets are all older and I could immediately see upon meeting her that she would be the best fit. My apartment was tidy and the dishes she used were washed and on the counter. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I highly recommend Nicole!”

Tracy and Steve were incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay, sent regular updates and videos of Dakota, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. They were so kind, easy to talk to, and genuinely cared about her. They even left her treats and a thoughtful note, which was such a sweet surprise. I would absolutely trust them with Dakota again😊

Jade was exceptional! Her communication and photos the whole time were perfect and she bonded so well with my cat. I would absolutely work with Jade again the next time I need a cat sitter. She asked questions and got to know my cat and her habits during our meet and greet and followed all instructions we left perfectly!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
