About: I’ve had a dog in my household ever since I was 5 years old and would love to meet and help you with your fur baby! I go to school at Paul Mitchell Cosmetology 3d days a week, and work at a restaurant 2 days a week and take care of my pup every night when I get home, I also own a bunny rabbit named e.b.! I love my pets like they are family and will treat yours like they’re my own. Your pets safety and the safety of your home is a top priority!

About: I've had a 91 lb labradoodle from puppy to now for about 4 years. I've also been told that my cat adopted me about 1.5 years ago. My dog is a happy go lucky guy who's never met a person or animal he didn't like. My cat is about 15 years old and requires injectable medication twice a day, so nothing scares me when it comes to medication. I've taken care of the odd African Grey Parrot from time to time as well. I take my dog out every morning, lunch time and several times in the evening for walks and play. Our cat needs medicine twice a day that requires an injection so I'm well versed in providing medication and taking care of animals with special needs. There's a giant pop up blocking what this field is meant to say but it's saying I have to fill it in, perhaps I can update it later when the pop up is gone.

“Carol is fabulous! Our dog can be skittish in new situations, but Carol is great with her. It was such relief to find someone so trustworthy and dependable to help take care of her.”

About: With over six years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant and a background in Veterinary Technician studies, I have developed strong skills in caring for a diverse array of pets. After taking time off to be a stay-at-home mom, I am eager to bring my expertise and passion for animal care back into the field! I am available on Friday and Saturday evenings after 6pm and Sunday and Mondays throughout the day! This schedule is subject to change due to being a full time stay at home momma. In clients homes I respect boundaries and upkeep the areas your pets use. I will ensure they are comfort and trusting of me before approaching and interacting!

About: Throughout my 38 years of life I have cared for many different types of animals. My husband and I have been adopted by ferrets, sugar gliders, rabbits, dogs, and cats. No animal has gone unspoiled in our home! We currently have 3 dogs, 3 cats, and a rabbit of our own and would have more if we could! My schedule is somewhat flexible, as I am a Coach at Orangetheory for my big girl job. I don't work long shifts so I have a variety of availability and would love to spend some off my "off time" giving snuggles! In the clients home, I would be ensuring doors and fences are locked appropriately and animals would be checked over for any ticks or bites given the season, make sure they are provided with food and water appropriately, and they will not be left unsnuggled!

About: I’ve grown up around and taken care of pets my whole life, from itty bitty kittens to old dogs, and recently a bunny! I have two cats that are essentially my children, and I know that whenever I’m away from home I worry about them - I always take care of others’ pets the way I want mine to be treated. I work from home and make my own hours, so my daily routine is incredibly flexible. I’m comfortable staying with your pet as long as you’d like for drop-ins and walks! Taking care of pets includes respecting the space they live in, and by extension the space you live in! I know it’s weird to have a stranger in your home when you’re not there, so I’ll only mess with the stuff I have to in order to take good care of your pet, and whatever I don’t need to touch, I won’t. I’m comfortable administering medication to pets that need it, and I absolutely understand the need to accommodate pickiness. I’ll follow any instructions you leave me word-for-word, and make sure your pet gets to be as comfortable and safe as possible until its people get back home!

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm surrounded by all sorts of creatures, and that early love has stayed with me. While I’m new to Roanoke, I previously supported the DC/NOVA area through Wag! for several years and am now looking forward to building connections with pet families here in my community. As a remote worker with a flexible schedule, I’m able to spend quality time with the animals I care for — whether they’re full of energy or need a little extra support. I’m comfortable with all kinds of animals, routines, and temperaments, and I do my best to honor what each one needs. Over the years, I’ve cared for many senior and special needs animals, including my two old-ladies, Chrissy and Raspy, who passed away this winter. I’m now kept on my toes by two playful kittens, Joan and Lirael. No matter their age, health, or temperament - I'm able to show up with consistency, patience, and care. I aim to be someone you can trust - not just to care for your animals - but to respect your home, follow routines closely, and communicate clearly while you’re away. I’m happy to accommodate last-minute bookings when I can, but advanced notice is always appreciated. Looking forward to meeting you and your fur-fam! I'm currently a remote worker with a flexible schedule. If I am staying in your home, I can work remotely from that location and keep a close eye on your pet. If I stopping in for a quick visit, I can generally drop in any time before 9am, during lunch, or after 4pm. Different times could also be arranged with some planning. I aim to be someone you can trust not just to care for your animals, but to respect your home, follow routines closely, and communicate clearly while you’re away. I’m happy to accommodate last-minute bookings when I can, but advanced notice is always appreciated.

“Julia is so great with my dog Remy! He always looks forward to seeing her and she is so engaged and good with him. She has visited several times now and we will keep booking her!”

Autumn B.
“Autumn is a dog whisperer. Probably a cat, chicken, snake and hamster whisperer too. She has cared for our 2 dogs and house numerous times while we were traveling. This included staying with our 2-year-old coon hound who had extreme anxiety issues at the time. Autumn managed like a pro. She even taught him to sit on the rug in front of the kitchen sink while she was cooking or working in the kitchen, a practice we reenforced and that he continues to this day. We are grateful to have such a kind, patient person to care for our sweet pups when we're away.”
