About: I'm an active volunteer with a local animal shelter, where I work hands-on with dogs of many ages, sizes, temperaments, I have experience caring for shy, anxious, high-energy, and sensitive dogs, and I'm comfortable with reading canine body language, building trust, and providing calm, reliable care tailored to each dog's needs. Pet care is part of my regular routine through weekend availability when I'm off work. I plan my schedule around providing attentive, consistent care, including walks, feeding, enrichment and companionship, so each dog receives focused, unhurried attention. I care for pets by following their established routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and preferred activities. I take time to build trust, especially with shy or anxious pets, by moving at their pace and reading their body language. About: Hello! I am a farm girl who grew up with dogs , cats , horses, cows and sheep. Over the past twenty five years I have adopted four rescue dogs taking dogs who were older and harder to adopt. If I could I would give every rescue animal a home. I have had success working with animals who others find daunting. I am skilled in basic obedience training and click training. I love puppies and elderly dogs equally. I am currently taking classes to start a new career and my schedule is very flexible. I can pet sit 7 days a week and will do my best to accommodate your scheduling needs I can come to your home and feed, walk, play or sit with your pet. About: I have been working with dogs/cats since 2008 & on a professional level since 2010. Including but not limited to, pet sitting, training basic commands, bathing, drying with a high velocity dryer, nail trims, transportation & running the Corgis of Virginia Facebook group. I am also experienced in providing oral medication as well as insulin as needed. Along with caring for indoor animals, I have experience with managing and taking care of large & small equestrian facilities, cattle, goats & chickens. I have been walking and feeding and watching dogs, cats, horses and farm animals for 10 years. I love animals, I always have and while I work full time, I self schedule and can be flexible. I don’t typically travel for holidays so I am around locally on most holidays, and can fit your beloved pet into my schedule so you can feel at ease while you are away from them. I can do whatever you need me to do in your house. I have lots of experience with puppies and elderly dogs (and those in between), cats and kittens, and lots of exotic animals. I am good at following directions and can accommodate whatever you need in your space. I also have lots of experience tiring out super energetic pups on long hikes or walks if you need! I work Monday-Wednesdays in Roanoke and my weekends are variable- I try to keep my calendar up to date. If I have events on the weekends (I’m a musician) they are typically local, and I will block out my calendar for tours. About: I take care of my neighbors dogs, my friends dogs, and dogs at my place of work, I technically have 6 dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I work at a doggy daycare part time, my hours typically range from 7-12:30 so any time after then I would be able to take care of your babies! I’m available all day Fri-Sun. I’m familiar with the requirements of constant attention to pets. I’m on call 24/7 for my 2 year old German shepherd, Mellie. She’s a lovely, amazing high energy working dog with a hefty owner’s manual. I’m used to my schedule accommodating the highs and lows of pet care. I get how dogs can feel about a stranger in their home, and same for their owners. I’ll follow whatever house rules you’ve got, and respect your dog’s personal space. I’m working to fully understand dog body language & stress indicators, and how to adapt my own behavior appropriately. I don’t offer boarding services at my home - my dog isn’t dog-friendly. I don’t offer overnight housesitting either - I prefer not to leave my dog overnight unless I can find a sitter for her.

About: Hello fellow animal lovers! I'm here for all of your animal care needs! A little bit about me... I'm a mother to a 10 year old little boy, 1.5 year old French bulldog, 5 year old pug, 2 year old hound mix, 1 year old boxer, 3 kitty cats and a ball python. I have had chickens, ducks, and a couple of goats in the past and am comfortable with just about any critter. I am currently employed part time at a Veterinary clinic in Salem. I have also worked 5+ years at a boarding/grooming facility for dogs and cats. I am comfortable giving medications and bathing if needed. I've always loved any opportunity to work with animals and pet sitting and dog walking are a great opportunity for me to have a flexible schedule for my son and still make a living doing what I love.
