Whether your cat is playful, shy, or independent, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Regular updates, gentle care, and extra love always come free! 🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and creating a calm, caring environment for them. About: I'm an active volunteer with a local animal shelter, where I work hands-on with dogs of many ages, sizes, temperaments, I have experience caring for shy, anxious, high-energy, and sensitive dogs, and I'm comfortable with reading canine body language, building trust, and providing calm, reliable care tailored to each dog's needs. Pet care is part of my regular routine through weekend availability when I'm off work. I plan my schedule around providing attentive, consistent care, including walks, feeding, enrichment and companionship, so each dog receives focused, unhurried attention. I care for pets by following their established routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and preferred activities. I take time to build trust, especially with shy or anxious pets, by moving at their pace and reading their body language. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and calm, attentive interaction, whether that means exercise and playtime or quiet companionship. In a client's home, I respect their space and ensure pets feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment.

Jessica was my lifesaver!!!! I injured my knee and was suddenly unable to walk my dog. She was available on short notice and responded quickly. I was in such a panic but she reassured me that she would take great care of my baby! She was flexible, patient, and kind. I had the worst day and I was being so spastic and crazy and she was sooo sweet to me. I am thankful to have found her . My dog absolutely loved her! She took notes about specific things concerning his care, and she followed all instructions given and had a successful walk with him! She took him to the park, his favorite place :) I am so thankful that Jessica has experience with large breeds and was able to handle my 70 lb dog. She sent me updates and pictures which helped my bad day get soo much better and put my mind at ease seeing my dog so happy and in great hands! She is reliable, responsible, and trustworthy. I would highly recommend Jessica and will definitely have her continue walking my dog until my leg heals (and after that too!) Thank you Jessica- you are the absolute best !!!

Zoe was great! She was always on-schedule and was very patient with my weird little girl. She does things like hiding when it's time to go out and then pulling a LOT once you finally get her out. But Zoe never complained and always hung around with the baby for a few minutes of love and play after the walk. My schedule has changed and no longer need a dog-walker, but if I ever need one again, will definitely look for her!

Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you soon! I am currently working part-time so my schedule is pretty flexible. I'm usually able to accommodate whatever your needs may be. Please feel free to reach out. They need to be dog, cat and kid friendly to board in my home as I have 4 dogs and 3 cats in my home currently...otherwise we will come to you for service :)

About: Why hello there! The Hallie guarantee is as follows: I will give your pet the care, love, and fun that I would give my own. I recognize the stress that comes with trusting a stranger with your pets, and I am committed to providing comfort for both you and your pet. I’ve been taking care of animals since I can remember and have experience with numerous breeds and energy levels. I work from home Mon-Thurs until 3pm but can be available for a lunchtime walk. I’m available all day Fri-Sun. I’m familiar with the requirements of constant attention to pets. I’m on call 24/7 for my 2 year old German shepherd, Mellie. She’s a lovely, amazing high energy working dog with a hefty owner’s manual. I’m used to my schedule accommodating the highs and lows of pet care. I get how dogs can feel about a stranger in their home, and same for their owners. I’ll follow whatever house rules you’ve got, and respect your dog’s personal space. I’m working to fully understand dog body language & stress indicators, and how to adapt my own behavior appropriately. I don’t offer boarding services at my home - my dog isn’t dog-friendly. I don’t offer overnight housesitting either - I prefer not to leave my dog overnight unless I can find a sitter for her.

About: I’ve been taking care of my own dogs for 15+ years, along with a variety of exotic animals including birds, snakes, rats, fish and many more. I have been walking and feeding and watching dogs, cats, horses and farm animals for 10 years. I love animals, I always have and while I work full time, I self schedule and can be flexible. I don’t typically travel for holidays so I am around locally on most holidays, and can fit your beloved pet into my schedule so you can feel at ease while you are away from them. I can do whatever you need me to do in your house. I have lots of experience with puppies and elderly dogs (and those in between), cats and kittens, and lots of exotic animals. I am good at following directions and can accommodate whatever you need in your space. I also have lots of experience tiring out super energetic pups on long hikes or walks if you need! I love the outdoors and having dogs with me just makes it better! I look forward to meeting you and your precious pets! I work Monday-Wednesdays in Roanoke and my weekends are variable- I try to keep my calendar up to date. If I have events on the weekends (I’m a musician) they are typically local, and I will block out my calendar for tours. I have flexible scheduling during the day in Roanoke, and can work around your schedule even if you’re not in Roanoke. My work is accommodating and partially work from home. I like to provide my clients with updates on their pets while they are away with pictures and descriptions of anything out of the ordinary they may need to know about, and also just cute shenanigans your critters are up to each day. If you have any questions always feel free to message me with specifics and I will do my best to accommodate. Whether I am spending the night, or stopping by your home, I will treat your space and pets with respect and do my very best to communicate openly with you!

About: I am an experienced pet caregiver based near the Smith Mountain Lake area. I have hands-on experience caring for a variety of dogs, including large breeds, and am comfortable administering oral medications, providing bathing and basic grooming care, and handling dogs with different temperaments and needs. My experience comes from both personal and professional care. I have cared for my own dogs, as well as my parents’ and sister’s dogs, giving me regular, real-world experience with daily routines, exercise, feeding schedules, and overall pet wellbeing. Professionally, I have worked at a dog kennel where I was responsible for feeding, bathing, and supervising dogs in group play settings while ensuring safety and appropriate behavior. I also worked as a bather at a pet store, where I gained experience handling dogs during grooming-related services and maintaining their comfort throughout the process. I take pride in providing reliable, attentive care and treating every pet as if they were my own. I'm currently an aspiring Graphic Designer who just graduated from JMU. I am back home in the area for a while and looking to gain some clients while I’m there. I am willing to travel to your home to dog sit and give your dog the best care that I can while your gone. By taking your dog to potty, feeding and giving extra love.
