Gussie did a wonderful job taking care of Simba, our geriatric Lionhead bunny. She was on time, followed instructions and was excellent in helping us during a stressful time.

Zoe was great! She was always on-schedule and was very patient with my weird little girl. She does things like hiding when it's time to go out and then pulling a LOT once you finally get her out. But Zoe never complained and always hung around with the baby for a few minutes of love and play after the walk. My schedule has changed and no longer need a dog-walker, but if I ever need one again, will definitely look for her!

Jessika was easily the best I’ve found in the app by far. I work long hours and require someone to stop by for a walk and food/water break. She was great with my puppy and even left a little surprise for her. My little girl seemed much less stressed after her visits and it completely removed the stress of worrying about her while working. I would absolutely recommend Jessika!

She went out of her way to let me know that my dog would not go for a walk. She notified me to let me know because she was worried that something might be wrong. Turns out that it was around the Fourth of July. My dog has simply been spooked by the fireworks. She was reassured, and happily offered to play with her in her backyard. My sweet girl was delighted with the alternative playtime. I appreciate her a quick communication and concern for my darling.

I’m patient with dogs of all sizes and personalities and always follow feeding schedules, provide regular potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention so every dog feels at home. I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available most days of the week, including weekends. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, walks, and playtime throughout the day. I’m happy to work with different schedules and last-minute bookings whenever possible I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Since I don’t have a fenced yard, I take dogs on regular walks for exercise, potty breaks, and fresh air. I also provide plenty of attention, playtime, and follow the pet’s normal feeding schedule and routines. My goal is to make pets feel relaxed and at home while their owners are away.

About: I'm an active volunteer with a local animal shelter, where I work hands-on with dogs of many ages, sizes, temperaments, I have experience caring for shy, anxious, high-energy, and sensitive dogs, and I'm comfortable with reading canine body language, building trust, and providing calm, reliable care tailored to each dog's needs. Pet care is part of my regular routine through weekend availability when I'm off work. I plan my schedule around providing attentive, consistent care, including walks, feeding, enrichment and companionship, so each dog receives focused, unhurried attention. I care for pets by following their established routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and preferred activities. I take time to build trust, especially with shy or anxious pets, by moving at their pace and reading their body language. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and calm, attentive interaction, whether that means exercise and playtime or quiet companionship. In a client's home, I respect their space and ensure pets feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment.

Jessica was my lifesaver!!!! I injured my knee and was suddenly unable to walk my dog. She was available on short notice and responded quickly. I was in such a panic but she reassured me that she would take great care of my baby! She was flexible, patient, and kind. I had the worst day and I was being so spastic and crazy and she was sooo sweet to me. I am thankful to have found her . My dog absolutely loved her! She took notes about specific things concerning his care, and she followed all instructions given and had a successful walk with him! She took him to the park, his favorite place :) I am so thankful that Jessica has experience with large breeds and was able to handle my 70 lb dog. She sent me updates and pictures which helped my bad day get soo much better and put my mind at ease seeing my dog so happy and in great hands! She is reliable, responsible, and trustworthy. I would highly recommend Jessica and will definitely have her continue walking my dog until my leg heals (and after that too!) Thank you Jessica- you are the absolute best !!!

About: Why hello there! The Hallie guarantee is as follows: I will give your pet the care, love, and fun that I would give my own. I recognize the stress that comes with trusting a stranger with your pets, and I am committed to providing comfort for both you and your pet. I’ve been taking care of animals since I can remember and have experience with numerous breeds and energy levels. I work from home Mon-Thurs until 3pm but can be available for a lunchtime walk. I’m available all day Fri-Sun. I’m familiar with the requirements of constant attention to pets. I’m on call 24/7 for my 2 year old German shepherd, Mellie. She’s a lovely, amazing high energy working dog with a hefty owner’s manual. I’m used to my schedule accommodating the highs and lows of pet care. I get how dogs can feel about a stranger in their home, and same for their owners. I’ll follow whatever house rules you’ve got, and respect your dog’s personal space. I’m working to fully understand dog body language & stress indicators, and how to adapt my own behavior appropriately. I don’t offer boarding services at my home - my dog isn’t dog-friendly. I don’t offer overnight housesitting either - I prefer not to leave my dog overnight unless I can find a sitter for her.

I have been pet sitting for over 10 years- walking , caring for, and loving other people's pets. With a flexible schedule I work from home and I have my own car. I am happy to bathe and or brush your animals, but cannot use clippers or scissors or do nails. I am looking forward to meeting you, and your pets since I have none of my own it will fill that void. My family and I cant wait to meet you soon. I am always available. We are able to be home all the time with the family and have a flexible schedule. We would like to include your pet into the day while you are away. I have a fenced yard and a house perfect for pets. We are always here as a family to care for any needs. We include them as if they were our own, or our families pets. We haven’t had the time to commit to getting a new pet and we miss having one so much we would rather you leave them with us to love on then have them be alone.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
