“Cate was everything a pet owner could want. She was responsible, respectful and responsive. A delightful experience from our initial "getting to know you and your pet" visit to her daily check in communications. We hardily recommend her and will engage her with our next trip out of town.”

About: I grew up with cats and have helped care for friends and family's pets for overnights. I drive for animal rescues to help save animals at risk of euthanasia. Most of my recent experience is with puppies and adult dogs but feel confident I can help with most any pet. I am a huge animal lover and can't wait to meet you and your pets. I have varied availability to care for pets with walks, drop ins, and overnights. I have kept animals in my home for friends and family. I have also stayed with animals in their home. I can administer meds but not injections.
“Valerie was awesome, and very attentive to our fur babies. She went above and beyond to make sure they were taken care of, and that we were aware of anything concerning that came up!”

“They were patient with us even though we forgot to give them the door code before they arrived, and they stayed longer than we booked to make sure everyone was happy and comfortable! Will definitely book again”

About: I've been around animals my entire life, so I'm very comfortable caring for pets of all ages and personalities. I understand how important it is to keep them on their normal routine and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I also have experience dog sitting three dogs for an entire month, which taught me how to manage multiple pets at once while keeping up with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and giving each dog the attention they needed. I'm dependable, patient, and will treat your pets like they're my own. I'll provide plenty of love, exercise, and regular photo updates so you can feel confident that they're in good hands. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, and because I have a very flexible schedule, I'm able to give pets the time and attention they deserve. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I'll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. I'm available throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends, and can easily adapt to your pet's routine. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in good hands. I have two friendly, loving dogs who enjoy being around other pets, as well as a cat who mostly keeps to himself. My home has plenty of space for pets to relax and play. While my backyard isn't fenced, all outdoor time is supervised, and dogs will always be kept on a leash to ensure their safety.
“Amanda was amazing with our golden retriever & helped us out in a pinch. Contacted her the night before and she was there for our 4-legged friend the very next day. Highly recommend!”

“Siara is great! She has taken care of our cats twice now and I know we’re always in good hands with her. She’s Kind, very friendly, prompt and communicates beautifully while caring for our cats. We will most definitely call her again.”

“Sharon was fantastic!! We are new to the area and needing to find someone to watch our furbabes while we were away. She answered all of my many questions and was so patient and kind. Our dogs loved her and were so spoiled when we got home!! We couldn't be happier and will 100% use her again! Highly recommend!!”
“Hannah does an amazing job with my labrodoodle puppy. She is timely, follows care instructions, and is very communicative. I would definitely recommend Hannah if you're in need of someone trustworthy and who treats your animal like her own.”

“Mandy is consistent, reliable, communicative, and so caring with our pets! We have had unexpected situations come up and she is always understanding and flexible. We are so glad to have her as our sitter!”

About: I have had the pleasure to take care of animals my whole life. After going to boot camp I realized how much animals actually give you peace of mind on a daily basis and I have taken care of neighbors animals and family ever since. I have plenty of space for animals of all sizes and a fenced in yard for dogs who need to run. I love to go on walks as I am very active and have to keep my 2 mile up always. I am also very patient for kitties who just want to lay around and sleep. If given the opportunity I would love to spend my time with the animals you love. I am in the national guard so I work 1 weekend a month and the rest is free! I am currently trying to make animal sitting an everyday thing so I can work out any times needed. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space inside as well. I have a doggy door for smaller dogs but I can let the bigger ones out just as easily. I do have a cat that is very friendly but she can go in my room if needed. There is room in my house to play and room for an animal to be alone if they wanted or needed

“Jess is incredible! She is polite, professional, attentive, reliable and a true animal lover. It was my first experience with a pet sitter and she went above and beyond to accommodate . Her communication is EXCEPTIONAL! Trying to find someone who is genuinely caring and conscientious who loves animals? Look no further! I would recommend Jess to anyone in need of assistance with your pets.”

About: I have three fur babies, golden retriever x2, and a blue heeler mix. Having animals is such pure joy. The dogs run the home, I just live here! Dog hair and slobbery kisses … I wouldn’t want it any different. My fur babies are happy and very generous to other animals. We have fun here. So bring your dog over, let them jump on the couch, and play with my pups! I work part time, but have a very flexible schedule. I have two boys at home that would give your pups all the love they need. I have a small fenced in yard for your pups. We enjoy talking walks, and playing fetch. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
