About: Hi! I’m Heather, a dependable and compassionate caregiver with years of hands on experience caring for both children and animals. As a mom of three, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for someone you love, including your pets. We have a fully fenced in back yard where pets can safely play and explore, and we live in a quiet, private cul de sac just minutes from Smith Mountain Lake, which makes for peaceful long walks and plenty of outdoor time. I have experience with daily pet care routines including feeding, walking, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether your pet needs lots of energy and play or a quieter, gentle approach, I’m happy to adapt to their personality and needs. I’m a 7th grade Special Education teacher and officially off for the summer, which gives me plenty of flexibility and availability to care for your pets. I primarily offer boarding and doggy day care in my home, where pets can enjoy a fully fenced in back yard, a calm family environment, and walks through our quiet private neighborhood near Smith Mountain Lake. Providing care in my home allows me to stay present with both my children and the pets in my care, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, supervision, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. During the school year, my availability becomes more limited due to my teaching schedule, but I may still be able to accommodate certain evenings, weekends, holidays, or overnight stays with advance notice. I’m always happy to discuss scheduling needs ahead of time to see how I can help. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, and I work hard to help them feel secure and cared for while they are away from home. I can accommodate crate training if needed, follow medication or feeding schedules closely, and provide regular updates so pet parents feel comfortable and informed. My goal is to treat every pet like part of the family.

About: I'm an active volunteer with a local animal shelter, where I work hands-on with dogs of many ages, sizes, temperaments, I have experience caring for shy, anxious, high-energy, and sensitive dogs, and I'm comfortable with reading canine body language, building trust, and providing calm, reliable care tailored to each dog's needs. Pet care is part of my regular routine through weekend availability when I'm off work. I plan my schedule around providing attentive, consistent care, including walks, feeding, enrichment and companionship, so each dog receives focused, unhurried attention. I care for pets by following their established routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and preferred activities. I take time to build trust, especially with shy or anxious pets, by moving at their pace and reading their body language. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and calm, attentive interaction, whether that means exercise and playtime or quiet companionship. In a client's home, I respect their space and ensure pets feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment.

About: I grew up with cats and have helped care for friends and family's pets for overnights. I drive for animal rescues to help save animals at risk of euthanasia. Most of my recent experience is with puppies and adult dogs but feel confident I can help with most any pet. I am a huge animal lover and can't wait to meet you and your pets. I have varied availability to care for pets with walks, drop ins, and overnights. I have kept animals in my home for friends and family. I have also stayed with animals in their home. I can administer meds but not injections.

About: I’ve had a pet all my life. I’ve worked professionally with dogs for the past 3 years. I have a cat of my own as well. I’ve worked at a dog boarding facility as well as a doggy daycare. Currently, I have an internship Thursday-Sunday, 5 hours each day. I’m available every evening/afternoon after my internship. I’m also available Monday-Wednesday at any time. :) I love spending time with furry friends, so I’m happy to fulfill whatever needs your pets may have! I love high energy walks and playing an intense game of fetch or tug of war, but I also love spending time with fur babies that may not be as energetic and may just want to relax or go on a slow paced stroll!

About: I have several years of experience with both dogs and cats. The largest dog I've handled was 120 lbs. I'm down to cuddle or go on a walk, whatever your pet needs. I am a college student so I am flexible daily and can come by your house when needed. I am free on weekends and most weeknights. I would love if you can give me specifics on your pet's routine and any behavior I should know about. I have some experience with oral medication if your pet ever needs it.

About: I take care of my neighbors dogs, my friends dogs, and dogs at my place of work, I technically have 6 dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I work at a doggy daycare part time, my hours typically range from 7-12:30 so any time after then I would be able to take care of your babies! I treat the dogs in my home with respect and gentleness that they deserve. I try to take them on walks regularly when i can.

I will be available as often as needed to take care of your pets. I can be flexible to work with you for your pet’s needs. I feed and walk my dog and my past clients dogs twice daily. About: CPR certified, advanced first aid. Multiple years involved with training both basic obedience and herding. Capable of working on mobility or fitness programs for your furry friend. I am looking to assist you by taking your pup or pups for a dog walk late am to early afternoon. Usually available Tuesdays thru Thursdays. I will usually double leash on dog walks. I am very aware of my surroundings when walking dogs and have many years experience in caring for animals.

About: I have years of experience in training dogs, house sitting, watering plants (🥴) , walking dogs on and off leash, boarding dogs and cat care. I am great with all... easing going to stubborn to skeptical. I spent the last 4 years living in Washington and my actual job title was "dog wrangler' I have a high energy dog of my own. I know how hard it is to find comforting care for our four legged buddies. I make mental and physical stimulation for our buddies a priority. I am able to watch dogs in your home to have them feel the most comfortable while you're away. I have experience dealing with dogs of all types and demeanors.

About: I've taken care of both dogs and cats since I was a 10 for my family and friends. I love making connections with new adorable furry faces. I am currently enrolled at George Mason University and am taking online classes. This allows me to have amply time in my schedule to provide pet care. I will be providing in home pet care, allowing your precious fur babies a safe, comfortable, and familiar environment that they are already accustomed to.

About: Animals are my passion! I have experience with giving medication to animals, dealing with anxious animals, and other maintenance concerns regarding your furry friend(s). I will treat your pets and animals as if they were my own, so there is no need to look any further! :) I am currently going to school, but I am able to commute on days other than Monday and Wednesday during the fall 2025 semester. I would appreciate listing any medications that you animals may need and when those ought to be given to them. While I cannot provide my own home for your animals getaway, I would love to make your animals feel like they are not far from home while you're away. If you leave explicit instructions regarding what you would like me to do while in your residence, you can trust that they will be followed and respected.

About: I don't remember any childhood memory without our pets (dogs, pigs, rabbits, turtles, iguanas, hamsters). Animals provide so much love and joy to my heart, and being able to care for your fur babies while you are away or busy would be an honor. I do not currently have animals, which is why I am seeking work with Rover. Your animals are part of your family, allow me to ensure they are well taken care of so you can enjoy your time away without any worries. I have three people who I currently pet sit for when they are out of town. I have been pet sitting for them for year, and would be more than willing to connect you with them if you would like references and validation of my services. I own my own cleaning business, and because of that I have time to step away from the daily grind to provide care to animals. I currently am not offering overnight stays, in my home or yours, as I have a family of my own consisting of my fiancé, our Bernese mountain dog, and miniature long haired dachshund.

About: I have three fur babies, golden retriever x2, and a blue heeler mix. Having animals is such pure joy. The dogs run the home, I just live here! Dog hair and slobbery kisses … I wouldn’t want it any different. My fur babies are happy and very generous to other animals. We have fun here.
