I offer both indoor kennels and covered outdoor kennels with four private runs, providing comfort, security, and flexibility to meet each dog’s needs.

About: Hi! I’m Heather, a dependable and compassionate caregiver with years of hands on experience caring for both children and animals. As a mom of three, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for someone you love, including your pets. We have a fully fenced in back yard where pets can safely play and explore, and we live in a quiet, private cul de sac just minutes from Smith Mountain Lake, which makes for peaceful long walks and plenty of outdoor time. I’m a 7th grade Special Education teacher and officially off for the summer, which gives me plenty of flexibility and availability to care for your pets. I primarily offer boarding and doggy day care in my home, where pets can enjoy a fully fenced in back yard, a calm family environment, and walks through our quiet private neighborhood near Smith Mountain Lake. Providing care in my home allows me to stay present with both my children and the pets in my care, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, supervision, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. During the school year, my availability becomes more limited due to my teaching schedule, but I may still be able to accommodate certain evenings, weekends, holidays, or overnight stays with advance notice. I’m always happy to discuss scheduling needs ahead of time to see how I can help. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. About: Homemade treats and lots of love and fun! We enjoy playing at home, going for long walks, playing at the dog park, riding with the windows down, belly rubs, kisses and cuddles. I don’t mind taking to the vet or pet stores to be of more help to you. Enjoy light grooming and brushing with your approval. No matter the size, they are all puppies or kitties to me lol. I even have jumps and hoops for the active pups who like to jump and have a good time. I can give meds and special diets when needed. I have many referrals.i have two daughters who both work for rover as well. We would love to spend time with your babies and give them love and attention I am a stay at home mom that works one day a week i am free to love and care for your babies while you are away. I am willing to crate when you ask me to but prefer time out of crate to spend with your babies. Nothing like playing ball or cuddling. Whatever your pet need, I’m available.

“Penny and Evan were great with our little “high anxiety” fur baby. During the “meet and greet” Penny had us come in and take him straight to the fenced back yard where he could sniff around and go to the bathroom. Knowing about his anxiety, once we went back inside, Penny never tried to pet him, she just allowed him to get used to her being in the room. She was a very calming presence for him. Evan likewise was patient with him and allowed him the time it took to settle and get comfortable. We are thrilled to have found Penny and Even and the bonus is that they live about 4 minutes from our house! We have already booked the next daycare appointment!”

About: I have been pet sitting for over five years on a regular basis. I have been around cats and dogs my whole life. I have worked in a dog kennel/doggy day care in the past. I am confident and experienced with giving diabetic injections or medications. I am confident with dogs,cats,rabbits,lizards,snakes, hamsters, mice,and fish. I love animals and make sure to spend extra time with them. I am currently a homemaker and have a very flexible schedule. I can do small walks or check on pets a few times a day as needed. I make sure the pets get plenty of bathroom breaks and attention. I try to get them to play or take them on walks to get energy out. I can even water plants and pickup the mail.

About: I am a lover of animals! As someone who travels as well I know how it can feel to leave your fur babies so it is important that there is communication and love for them while you are gone! My goal is to make you feel secure leaving for a day, a weekend or more and come back seamlessly! I am a teacher of 15 years however am taking a year off a using Rover as my go to! So I am available for early morning visits, mid afternoon and evening. My weekend availability varies due to my own traveling. Good news is summer will be wide open! I have two super friendly and energetic dogs for those interested in dog boarding (I can take up to one dog at a time but unfortunately no cats 🐈).
