“Megan is simply the best! We continue to have her take care of our two fur babies, because she is so responsible and always goes the extra mile! Every visit is reported with the best pictures and write ups. The pups are clearly enjoying themselves and feeling secure, just as we are! We certainly are thankful to have found Megan!!”

“Ashley was so great to our two pups! She’s an excellent communicator and spent lots of quality time with our dogs, sending pictures and updates along the way. I look forward to working with her again!”

“Mia was an excellent pet sitter for our dog. She was always on time and gave us updates/pictures of him. If we ever need a sitter in the future she is the one I would go back to!”

About: I have experience taking care of both small and large dogs, including dogs with specialized medication schedules. I have taken care of cats and dogs my whole life and I love all animals :) I hope to provide any extra help needed and am happy to show your animals love. I work full-time, but I am able to visit animals during my lunch breaks or after I’m off of work usually around 4 or 5 pm. Depending on the environment provided, I am confident in my ability to walk a dog of any size or just allow them to play in the comfort of their own backyard. Every dog is different and I am able to adjust however they are needing me to.
“Katlin was wonderful this Summer with our boxer puppy Leia! She dropped by and played with Leia, took Leia to play with her pups, and kept Leia overnight! Highly recommend Katlin.”

“Lexi was absolutely wonderful! I had a last minute cancellation and she responded so quickly this morning to feed and walk my sweet Bergen! She is amazing! Highly recommended! Very communicative and my dog loved her.”

“Cate was wonderful! I felt comfortable with her in my home and with my animals, she sent updates every visit and responded instantly!! I would definitely ask her to watch my animals again :)”

About: In addition to caring for my own dog and cat, I've also helped with my neighbor's dog, and my sister's dogs. I've got a fully fenced in back yard that's almost a full acre. And my german shepherd is incredibly sweet and gentle around other animals. I keep my weekends free so I can hang out with your pet! With school out my 15 year old daughter is home too and is eager to help love on some new pooches. My mother is also home most of the time working, and we are used to loud dog barks! In my home I have a German shepherd upstairs full time and a pit bull mix downstairs in the afternoon. Both are sweet and energetic and love new dogs! My cat does better with people, but she knows how to stay out of dodge when its needed. We do crate our dog when we leave the house but she free roams at night, alternating between the bed and the floor and the couch as she pleases. I would require your dog to be crate trained in case I need to leave the house during a boarding session. In your home, your rule is law. Whether its feeding your cat a carefully measured amount of wet food or keeping the litter box filled exactly half way, your standards are mine and I'm happy to go the extra mile. Likewise for a doggy drop-in to walk and feed. I always pick up after my pet on a walk so your neighbors have nothing to fear from me. And I'm used to reigning in a 90lb German shepherd who wants to make friends with every neighborhood stray cat so you can rest assured that I can keep hold of your dog on a walk.
“Justine has been absolutely amazing! She spends so much time with my pets and makes every effort to understand their personalities and needs. I am so grateful for her!”

“Sarah is the best! Our cats go into a bit of depression when we leave them, but Sarah’s visits make a huge difference and they warmed up to her quicker than any of our past sitters. We rest easy knowing that Sarah will take the best possible care of them when we’re away.”
About: I've had pets my whole life and love taking care of dogs and cats. I have experience with puppies, kittens, senior dogs, and caring for special needs animals (injuries, long term illness, administering medication). I'm currently taking classes from home, which leaves me with a very flexible schedule for checking on your pets! Available mornings, afternoons and evenings all week. I treat every pet like they are my own! Aside from my own cats and dogs, I've cared for numerous foster animals through RCACP gaining valuable experience over the years.
“Alyssa is absolutely AMAZING!! She took my booking at the very last minute. She’s a God send!! Isla was clearly happy to make a new friend. I appreciate Alyssa’s prompt availability and excellent friendly service. She was thorough and informative just all around awesome!! So grateful for her service!”

“Bella was on time and had great communication while pet sitting. She was very sweet with my dog, Thor and he loved having her around. I would highly recommend Bella and look forward to having her watch Thor again!”

My little old man has never been much for other people.. Olivia was patient with him and gave him the time he needed to come out and eat! She handled his moodiness and his meds (not for moodiness sadly 😆) while also wrangling the 9month psycho kitten! I will 100% be a repeat customer

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cave Spring. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
