“If you want to be sure your cat (pet) is in the best hands, while you are away, go with Mike! He was 100% honest, caring, and professional. He made time to come and meet our cat, and fed him each day at the time we agreed. Mike was very accommodating to our cats needs and provided daily updates. It was such an awesome feeling knowing I could trust and rely on Mike to provide great care to our cat while we were away! 5 + stars for Mike! Stacey & Martin, Beverly, MA”

“Cindy was fantastic! From being extremely patient navigating an issue with Rover displaying her rate correctly, to accomodating our last minute request, to calling a locksmith (per my request) when the key we left her didn't work, to helping when we had a leak in our basement, she consistently went above and beyond. Not to mention buying food for our cat when she couldn't get into the house and being so good to him and sending several pictures every visit. We were beyond thrilled with her service and absolutely plan on hiring her again!”

“Selena is fantastic! Attentive, proactive, and genuinely great with animals. We have a busy household of pets and she took wonderful care of all of them, communicated clearly the entire time, and went out of her way to make sure everyone was comfortable. We came back to happy animals and total peace of mind. Already rebooking her. Highly, highly recommend!”

“Love this woman!!!! She is such a great joy to have watch are little man. We think he likes her more than us sometimes 😬🤣🤣🤣 Stacy has won the heart of one of the most picky cats we have ever had.”

I currently work full time but My schedule allows me to be there for mornings, lunchtime breaks, in the evenings starting at 6:30 and of course throughout the night. I am off one day a week, most weekends, and with me getting off at 6:30 I will have plenty of time to play with and love on your fur-baby. I have a fenced in yard so dogs can safely play in a secured space. I do take the precaution's of letting your fur-baby safely meet my own 3 dogs through a baby gate just to get to know each other before the play begins. I will treat your fur-baby as if they were my own. I do require Vaccine information for pets boarding in my home to ensure the safety of my own 3 dogs.

About: I've shared my life with animals for over 30 years, including dogs, cats, horses, fish, reptiles, and even spiders. I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine, and I take the time to earn their trust. Whether it's a walk, a drop-in visit, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping them company while you're away, I'll care for your pet with patience, reliability, and respect. I'll also send updates and photos so you can relax knowing they're in good hands. I work part time and I'm a full time dad so there's plenty of time and care to give. Transportation isn't a problem either if needed. I've had the same 2 sibling dogs and cat for many years and just lost 1 dog and cat to age, which is sad but they had great lives and very loved. Now find myself with more time and space to share.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Villa Heights
Ashley was amazing! She came for an initial meet up before her check-ins and our pups took to her so fast! Even our Rotweiller with some fear aggression after a few minutes and a couple treats she was her new bestie! We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our fur babies were in good hands. It was so nice seeing pictures of them at each check in and they were all smiles! Ashley took great care of them and spoiled them rotten! We came home to well taken pets. Thank you Ashley! She’s our go-to sitter!!!!

My little old man has never been much for other people.. Olivia was patient with him and gave him the time he needed to come out and eat! She handled his moodiness and his meds (not for moodiness sadly 😆) while also wrangling the 9month psycho kitten! I will 100% be a repeat customer

Keely was amazing! She took such great care of our 14 year diabetic cat, checking glucose levels and giving insulin. She also fed our two outdoor kitties. She sent daily photos and updates multiple times per day and followed all directions. She went well beyond what a typical pet sitter would do. We were able to enjoy our trip and relax knowing our pets were in great hands! She truly gave us a sense of security. I hope to use Keely again in the near future and highly recommend her if you need care for your furry family members!
I’m so relieved I booked Kiera to check-in on our kitties! She was willing to meet for the first time before we left for our vacation. She sent photos and notes after each check-in. One of the automatic feeders became jammed, and she was able to unclog it. She fed them, changed the litter boxes, and checked for accidents. She’s lovely, and I would book her again!

Jade always takes excellent care of my pets! She is attentive to detail and always leaves my place the same (or better) than how I left it. My cat was congested this past stay and she even ran a hot shower to give him some time in a steam room to help him out. She consistently goes above and beyond!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
