We could see that LuLu was being well cared for and was getting loads of attention. I don't think Rebecca was able to get anything done for herself because she devoted so much time to LuLu! LuLu gets separation anxiety, but I don't have to worry about that now that I've found Rebecca. LuLu gets to have a vacation at Auntie Rebecca's place while we are having our vacation. “Penny and Evan were great with our little “high anxiety” fur baby. During the “meet and greet” Penny had us come in and take him straight to the fenced back yard where he could sniff around and go to the bathroom. Knowing about his anxiety, once we went back inside, Penny never tried to pet him, she just allowed him to get used to her being in the room. She was a very calming presence for him. Evan likewise was patient with him and allowed him the time it took to settle and get comfortable. About: Updated March 2026 : As of now, I have a year old mutt I adopted. She gets along great with other dogs, but I have gates to keep animals separate if they’d prefer. As for my cats: They have a separate space- but they’ve made friends with many of my repeat clients: Belle, Butters, Nova, Larry, Leroy, Doris, and many more! I am home Sat& Sun & after work (3pm) on Monday-Friday. I have a crate here in case your pup needs one while I am at work. I have a large, fenced in yard that dogs love to run and play fetch in. About: Over the years, I have fostered, loved and cared for many different pets. Dogs, cats, birds, turtles, fish and crabs, rabbits & etc. I have a passion for dogs, especially! I am a strong believer in treating our pets as well as our kids!! It is very easy for me to connect with animals- that is where most of my passion comes from. I have also fed, bathed, kennel/potty trained and provided medication dogs of many different breeds, sizes, ages & temperaments. I can be extremely flexible. I am conveniently located near Downtown Roanoke, which helps me stay easily and readily available. Typically available for 2-3 check-ins/walks per day. My number one priority will be your pets safety! I will send updates and photos during every visit to reassure you that your pet is well taken care of.
About: I’ve had a dog in my household ever since I was 5 years old and would love to meet and help you with your fur baby! I work as a hairstylist at a salon Tuesday through Friday and also work occasional weekends at an Italian restaurant. Outside of work, I enjoy spending my free time doing different crafts and DIY projects, reading on my Kindle, or relaxing with one of my pups while watching a good movie. I also love getting outside for evening walks with my dogs and spending time playing fetch and throwing the ball around. I enjoy staying busy, being creative, and making the most of my time both at work and at home. I love my pets like they are family and will treat yours like they’re my own. “I cannot say enough wonderful things about Penny and Evan. I had a last-minute, same-day request for someone to watch my two dogs, Bella and Milo. Bella has severe anxiety (just like her mama) and takes medication three times a day, so leaving her is never easy for me. When I came across Penny and Evan’s profile and saw their picture, I immediately felt at peace. I just knew these were the people I wanted caring for my babies. They accepted my request quickly, and within a few hours I was able to bring Bella and Milo to their home. From the moment we arrived, Penny was warm, kind, and incredibly welcoming. She immediately took us to the backyard so the dogs could sniff and explore. She thoughtfully explained their setup, including a separate area in case bigger dogs were present, which gave me even more confidence in their safety and comfort. Inside, she allowed Bella and Milo to explore freely and get comfortable. She carefully gathered all of my information, emergency contacts, medication instructions, and even provided her personal number. She made sure she had mine as well. That level of thoroughness meant so much to me. When I left, I truly had zero worries. That says everything. Even though I was only gone one night, I received multiple updates, pictures, and even a video. I could see my dogs were relaxed and felt safe — which is especially important for my anxious Bella girl. Seeing her calm brought me more relief than I can explain. When I picked them up, they greeted me with all the kisses I could possibly dream of. Milo even turned back as if he wanted to say goodbye to Penny, which told me everything I needed to know. They were content on the ride home — either completely relaxed or happily worn out from their wonderful adventure! Because of Bella’s anxiety, I have often avoided traveling or visiting family. We’ve tried multiple medications and behavioral treatments over the years. Finding Penny and Evan feels like such a blessing. They reassured me that my babies were happy and that they look forward to seeing them again — and I truly believe it. If you are looking for someone who will treat your pets like their own, communicate clearly, and give you complete peace of mind, look no further. Penny and Evan are absolute gems. We will absolutely be back.”
