“Sheryl was so awesome with Fred!! While away I felt comfortable in leaving him in the hands of someone who loves his company as much as I do!! Great communication as well :)”

About: I’ve loved dogs since I was a young kid! I got my first dog when I moved to Vancouver from Toronto 4 years ago. I’m now in Seattle full time. Walking my dog is the highlight of my day, even after working long shifts where I’m on my feet all day. I’ve also made so many friends in the neighbourhood by walking my dog. I’ve walked my friends’ dogs previously, and they all recommended I start doing it on the side professionally. Hope to meet more people and make new furry friends along the way! I’m a nurse working between 8-12 hr shifts. My availability is sporadic, so I’ll try to keep my availability here updated. I have a car so I can drive to your place easily. I have some weekend availability depending on work. I live close to the Space Needle/Seattle Center and Elliott Bay Trail, so I take my dog there frequently for walks. I play fetch with my dog in Kinnear Park in the tennis courts because it’s fenced off. Personally I’m not a fan of dog parks so I don’t take my dog there but I’m happy to take your beautiful pooch there if they enjoy it. If you are open to my dog playing with your fur baby I’m happy to bring her along on walks or play dates.
“Leanne dropped in on my pup throughout my long work day and sent me photo updates so I could see she was happy and well taken care of. Would definitely recommend her and will book her again!”

“Linn was super accommodating, friendly, and caring towards both my cat Oreo and myself! I could tell my cat Oreo felt safe with her. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Hilda has been great for drop-ins with my young puppy. She’s very attentive and responsive, leaving detailed notes and pics after her visits. Very happy to have her help out with my pup.”

“Carol did a fantastic job looking after our two boys 🐈 🐈⬛ while we were away for a long weekend. She provided regular updates, played with them and showed genuine interest for their happiness and well-being. She also went above and beyond by taking in our deliveries while we were away as it was my birthday and what’s more - she showed the know-how and consideration to hide the flower deliveries in a safe space away from the kitties. This was a huge relief as they can often be poisonous! This was my first time using a pet sitting service and I could not recommend her more - my mind was at rest all throughout our trip!”

“Klara pet sat my cat goose for a couple days. Our trip even got cut short and she was on standby just incase I was delayed. From the moment we met her we knew she was the one for the job. She was caring, thoughtful and had excellent communication. The daily reports were detailed with photo and videos to accompany. It was so great to know and see how happy my fur ball was during their visits. Highly recommend!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I am patient and dedicated to engagement and animal welfare. I have lots of experience with puppy training (although I also strongly believe that no dog is too old to learn something new), as well as experience with senior dogs, especially those whose bodies can’t keep up with them anymore. I have lots of experience walking more reactive dogs, both large and small. Currently, my schedule is very flexible. I can be available during weekdays, weekends, days, and nights. I am available for quick visits as well as longer stays. In addition to basics such as frequent walks both long and short, responsible feeding (as per the schedule and diet you have set up for you animal), and clean up, I believe that active engagement and enrichment with animals is crucial to their happiness and overall well-being. I consider myself to be quite in-tune with dog body language and always do my utmost to respect their individual comforts, needs, and boundaries.
“Melissa took such great care of our old gal Ciara! She sent regular updates, pics and videos so I always knew Ciara was in the best hands. Ciara is slow to warm up to new people but after a few days I could tell they were best pals. And Melissa also was able to administer daily meds with no problems at all! I’ll definitely be contacting Melissa next time we go out of town :)”
“It is a special treat for Smokey when Kami visits, Smokey clearly loves her so much! I love the photos that Kami sends of the two of them cuddling. It makes me happy to see my kitty so happy and well cared for!”

“Kate was so sweet with Bandit and very diligent about following care instructions. She also sent so many photos per visit! I came home to a very happy kitty. I would definitely hire her to catsit Bandit again!”

“Wonderful girls to work with!! Really amazing at communicating, always go the extra mile, and Billy loves having mental stimulation with the tricks they teach him!! Really looking forward to having them care for Billy for a long long time!! Highly recommend!”

About: Hi, I’m Ursula! I’ve been caring for pets for over 10 years. Right now, I don’t have any of my own, so when I’m with yours, they get my full attention. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and sizes both my own and those of family and friends. I work freelance, which gives me a flexible schedule and I love having a furry companion around during the day. I enjoy going on walks of any pace, and if your pup enjoys running, I’d be happy to take them along for a jog! I also have experience caring for pets recovering from accidents or managing medical needs. Every pet is different, and I’m happy to adapt. Looking forward to meeting your buddy! My main source is freelancing and I am currently working from home, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I can adapt to your pets schedule without any issue and i'm available for short notice! I will gladly send you pictures and video updates of your pet, as many as you need! I am also happy to play with them and provide any cuddles or treats as needed. If there is any sort of special care or need that I should know about please let me know in advance.
About: I feel at home working with animals. I lived with a veterinarian roommate for multiple years and had the pleasure of taking in multiple pets that needed a home and a little extra care or at home medicine. I grew up on a Dairy farm where my responsibilities included taking care of the calves and milking cows. After moving away from the farm and to the city for university and work I became the go-to friend for pet sitting since I missed having animals around. I'm currently taking a short sabbatical from the 9-5 world to make a career change. In the Fall/Winter I will be taking online classes and living close to my brother to take care of my 8 month old nephew. My schedule will be fairly flexible and I will greatly appreciate the opportunity for regular study breaks that include taking care of a pet. I love getting outside in nature as well as exploring the world and my own neighbourhood. I am happy to take your pets for walks, hikes and adventures or chill visits. I am quite comfortable with large dogs to small, friendly cats to shy.
About: I truly love animals and have years of personal experience caring for both dogs and cats. I'm calm, patient, and always make sure pets feel safe and loved. I've handled all kinds of pets-playful puppies, gentle seniors, and even a few with special needs. I'm good at following routines, giving meds if needed, and making every pet feel at home. I treat every animal like family and always go the extra mile to keep them happy and healthy. Get a discount- https://www.rover.com/sit/gurjes12357 Pet care is the best part of my week! I'm free on Thursdays, Fridays, and weekend evenings-perfect for walks, cuddles, and quality time with pets. Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or at a client's place, I always focus on safety, comfort, and love. I follow their routine, keep their space clean, and never leave them unattended during walks or play. I make sure doors and gates are secure at all times. In fact, in my current job as a security guard, whenever a dog or any pet comes into the store, I can't help but say hi and give them a gentle pet-I truly love animals and enjoy being around them. I treat every pet with care and kindness like they're my own.
About: It has been pure joy being part of the Rover community, taking care of dogs here since 2018. We have met the kindest, warmest humans and dogs. We have two children who we try to include in helping so they are learning about responsibility, but as a result we can't take any dogs with aggression issues. Since we moved to Vancouver we have a smaller (fenced) yard, so we have reduced the number of dogs we take at a time. WE ALWAYS MAKE EXCEPTIONS FOR REGULARS. We are in love with our regular dogs and even if we come up as unavailable, if possible we will always make room for them. We have a rescued chihuahua mix and an unfixed female corgi, so we don't take unfixed males with the exception of puppies. We love puppies and can handle dogs with special care or medical issues, but please no dogs with any history of aggression. They must be safe with children and other dogs! I don't charge for meet & greets. (30 minutes is fine) I find dogs adjust much better when they are returning to a familiar space. Meet & Greets give them a chance to bond with our dogs, so when they are left they are already happy to see us and they settle in much easier. I can accommodate all diets, but not raw meat diets, please. For travelers I know how hard it is to work around air travel in particular. I'm very flexible and I understand how stressful it is trying to work around planes, trains and borders. Early morning drop offs are always encouraged. I am an early riser, up at 5 a.m. daily, so you can always drop them early if you're trying to get out of town. I work mostly from home, so I'm always around for love, walks and attention and we live across the street from a park. I'm a graduate student so I take a couple of classes, I have to schedule drop offs around, but mostly I'm home. If your dogs gets messy I provide baths. Every dog is so different. The first night is usually the hardest for most dogs. They usually need extra comfort to get through the first night, but usually after that we've built enough trust that they relax. We used to be fosters so we have a lot of experiences with caring for dogs who are scared and out of their element. Dogs who are well socialized and accustomed to staying away from home rarely have a hard time, especially if they are playful. Our corgi is 2 years old and loves to play with every dog, which is a great comfort to most dogs. Also our kids lavish dogs with attention. We are a dog family.

I will happily take your dog on long walks or hikes if they’ve got the energy and provide them with lots of cuddles. I hope to bring a little fun into their lives as much as they bring to mine! I go out for morning walks or runs almost every morning and throughout the day as well. I work remotely am flexible and I’d be happy to discuss a schedule that works for you and your pet’s needs. About: I’m a proud Samoyed mom with 3 years of hands-on dog care experience, plus years caring for my two former cats — so I’m comfortable with both dogs and cats of all sizes and personalities. I live in a pet-friendly townhouse just minutes from Queen Elizabeth Park, where I regularly take my own dog for safe off-leash adventures. Your dog will enjoy plenty of outdoor time, exercise, and play in a fun, social environment. I’m experienced with positive reinforcement training, keeping energetic pups engaged, and providing gentle care for senior pets. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, medication needs, and each pet’s unique personality. With my own car, I’m flexible for drop-ins, pick-ups, and last-minute requests. I’ll treat your pets like family — making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy every moment you’re away. I’m currently taking a career break after working as a software developer, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to focus on caring for pets. I already spend a lot of my day with my 3-year-old Samoyed, going for walks and frequenting the off-leash area at Queen Elizabeth Park, just minutes from my townhouse. Because I’m not working right now, I can easily adapt to your pet’s schedule — whether that’s early morning walks, midday playtime, or evening drop-ins. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine, and I genuinely enjoy making sure animals feel loved, safe, and happy while their owners are away. In my home, pets are treated like family. I live in a pet-friendly townhouse with plenty of space for lounging and playing, and I’m just minutes from Queen Elizabeth Park’s off-leash area for safe, supervised outdoor time. I always make sure doors and gates are secure, and I keep a close eye on pets when outside or interacting with others. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and routines exactly as instructed. I follow feeding schedules, keep fresh water available, and make sure litter boxes or outdoor potty areas are clean. I pay close attention to each pet’s comfort level, whether that means quiet companionship or active play. Above all, safety and trust are my priorities — I handle every pet with love, patience, and the same level of care I give my own Samoyed. I want owners to feel completely confident that their furry family members are in good hands.
