About: I was the primary caretaker of my dog from 8 years old. This involved general caretaking like feeding, bathing, walking, and monitoring health/medicines into its older age. I also have experience with adopting a resuce dog with major reactivity and physical problems, I have learned a lot after taking him through behavioural therapy and improving his quality of life. I've recently graduated college and have a relatively open schedule for Short or Long-term stays. I have my own vehicle and I'm willing to travel across the lower mainland. My goal is to make your animals as comfortable as possible through following instructions from the owner, reading behaviour and their needs as well as keeping them to a regular routine for a stress free experience.

About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life - from growing up with dogs and fish tanks to spending my teenage and adult years riding and working around horses (with cats and other barn animals too!). I completed the Red Cross Dog & Cat First Aid course, and care for my own senior chihuahua who was diagnosed with heart disease and requires multiple medications daily. I am confident and comfortable handling pets with medication needs. I also worked as a volunteer photographer for a dog adoption agency that specialized in the adoption of bully breeds. I’ve been described as a warm, friendly, caring, reliable and lively individual by many people in my life. I love spending time outdoors and enjoy walking on trails or in my neighbourhood. I am currently establishing a photography business, and do part-time book keeping for a couple of clients. This allows me to have a flexible schedule. Your pets safety and comfortability during drop-in visits and walks are my top priority. Following your care instructions closely will ensure this is achieved. I treat everyone’s home with respect, ensuring everything stays secure and clean. My goal is to provide reliable and safe care that you can trust.

About: Hello! My name is Shadnay, and I’d love to experience this journey with you and your pup :) I have a clear understanding that every furry friend has their own uniqueness in temperament, triggers, and needs. My joy comes from learning them and providing the best care possible. I specialize in anxious & reactive dogs Including breeds and rescues who are still learning to navigate the world around them. My goal is to build their confidence in a safe and encouraging environment. All other temperaments are welcome, and loved just the same. Before finding Rover, I was successfully employed at various reputable Dog Daycare, and boarding facilities in Coquitlam and Port Moody where I started my training. From leading a pack of 80 dogs in an indoor and outdoor setting, to working with dogs who need individual attention. I’ve also worked with a private company based in Vancouver, demonstrating pack walks in off leash trails, and training under K-9 professionals during private walks with highly anxious/reactive dogs. A force free & positive reinforcement approach. A few weeks of customized care and attention will improve your dogs overall temperament and quality of life – feel free to reach out and discuss the specifics! I'm currently dedicated to taking care of dogs full-time, so they will get all my attention! My only other priorities during the week/weekend are my personal self-care appointments which allow me to show up fully for the pups, with my cup full! Each dog will have their own unique needs, and I spend a lot of time speaking with the parents to make sure those needs are met while they are away.

About: Fifteen years with BC Guide Dogs has given me much experience with dogs of all ages, as well as breeding and birthing of dogs. It is my number one passion. Love all dogs. I am retired now and would love to give my attention to walking, boarding and play-time, or just drop in time at your house. Daily adventures to the dog parks are my favourite but if yours is not that friendly we will stick to on leash walks. I have my companion, a 13-1/2 old black lab who could accompany us. I offer play time, compassion, treats upon approval, walks, dog park visits, and nap time. My lab of 13+ yrs loves all dogs but not very playful anymore; however she tolerates them playing with her.

“A very kind and accommodating new friend for Valkie. Valkie warmed to Talana very quickly and they got on great while Valkie was adjusting to her new home and not feeling great. Talana really made a positive difference in this transition and I can highly recommend.”

Riley T.
“Riley has been pupper sitting our 60+ pound American Bulldog rescue mix for over a year now. He can be reactive with some dogs (for example, he strongly dislikes another dog in our apartment building). Riley handles him like a pro and is always patient. Importantly, as a handler Riley uses positive + reinforcement methods which is often very hard to find. We have no issues with Riley coming into our home and staying for weeks sometimes. The house is always clean on our return, and Riley never abuses our “please eat and drink whatever you want!” hospitality. Without Riley, this year would have been a struggle. Thank you Riley!!”

Brandi R.
“Ive watched Brandi grow up with dogs.. her dog Juice is sooo well behaved and its all because of the time she invests into his training and well being. She's recently taken on housesitting juice's nephew for the weekend and this boy is the opposite of calm juice. He's wild crazy and she has no problem handling both of them at the same time!! If you're lucky enough to get her to care for your pets, you're very lucky - oh and ask to see her dog tattoo !”
