About: I have big experience with dogs, I am raising my own pup, and I love her so much. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and usually get along with them really well. I ma working from home, and I have no kids or other permanent commitments, and my evenings and weekends are usually open. I can be flexible during the day too, but it depends on my work schedule. I would prefer to go your home as I have an anxious kitty. Unless your pet is very chill and friendly, then we can discuss other options. I have a 13 mo puppy, and she is great with other cats and dogs

About: I have had a special place in my heart for animals of all kind my whole life. I have a dog and three cats of my own and I have dogsat for friends and family on many occasions for prolonged periods. By day, I am a Pharmacy Technician, which means I’m patient, empathetic, and have medical experience (I’m very comfortable administering medication and injections). I work full time but I have the time to give your pet quality time and attention, walks, bathroom breaks, and whatever other special care they might need. I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes and temperaments and kitties of all attitudes. I will make sure your pet is cared for in the way that they’re used to being cared for so they feel comfortable and you feel at ease knowing they’re in good hands.

Cassandra and Mark took amazing care of our two dogs, Duke and Daisy, making sure they were comfortable, happy, and well-loved throughout the day. They kept us updated with frequent check-ins, which gave us peace of mind while we enjoyed our special day. It's clear that they genuinely love animals and went above and beyond to ensure our pups were safe and content. We highly recommend Cassandra and Mark to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring dog sitter!”

About: Your pets are my number one! I am a responsible, heartfelt person. I go out of my way to give your pets the best attention and care I can provide in the timeframe I’m there I’m looking to add more critter care to my days and get out for more walks in nature! I’m unable to have a dog of my own at this time, but I have much puppy love to give to yours when you’re unable! I’m available to come to you, and your home. Unfortunately I cannot have dogs stay in my home at this time. But, I’ve stayed at friends homes with their animals and it’s always great! Your home will be well cared for, along with your animals

About: I have dog shelter experience from 2018 (for 1 year) and I've been volunteering at the SPCA in Dartmouth since January 2024. I'm trained to understand dogs behaviours and needs. I grew up with small breed dogs, but I have the time, patience, and energy to work with any breed. I have dog-sat for neighbours and family members over the years, and I regularly walk my neighbour's pitbull. I'm able to brush, trim nails, and administer medication by request. I'm self employed and make my own schedule. I usually only work 4-5 hours in the afternoons so I'm free most mornings and evenings to care for your pets! I will follow any rules and diet you have in place pertaining to your home and pets. Your privacy and your pet's well-being are always my top priority.

About: I am a life-long animal lover who grew up with dogs. Now, I work full-time in healthcare so I can’t have a pet of my own. My schedule is highly flexible and variable though, letting me offer services when others can’t. I’m also very comfortable with complex care needs. I like keeping busy and am happy to spend as much time as needed on exercise, enrichment/training and grooming, so long as your pets are agreeable. I require on site parking for house sitting please. I work full-time in healthcare so I can’t have a pet of my own. My schedule is highly variable from week to week and month to month, letting me offer services when others can’t. I’m often available on a last minute basis as well, just ask!! I like to keep busy so your pet won’t get too much time to be sad about your absence. I look forward to a brief phone chat or a few emails back and forth to get to know what your pet’s routine and habits are to minimize the disruption of having their favourite person away and a weird stranger in their home.

About: We both have had a lifelong love of dogs and feel a home is never complete without at least one pet. After having dogs growing up, we started petsitting in university and continued ever since. We used petsitting as a way to live in and travel throughout New Zealand and Australia and when we moved back to Canada, we opened up our home to our families' and friends' dogs. In early 2020 we decided we were ready for our own fur-baby and adopted Ziggy, a then 5-month old rescue Great Pyrenees-mix from Texas. We have experience in both training puppies and taking care of higher need senior dogs. Having a dog is a full-time commitment, one that we love. We try to incorporate Ziggy into most aspects of our lives, since he is a major part of our family. On a work-day, we typically do a 20 minute neighbourhood walk in the morning, a quick bathroom break at lunch time, and at least an hour long walk after work, either around the neighbourhood or at a park. On weekends we have more time for exploring and outdoor activities, so we bring Ziggy for walks on trails, beaches, or other dog-friendly parks. Kelly works 100% remote, so is home during the day. We have dedicated space for dogs to sleep, but we also allow them on our couch and bed. We live in a house with a fenced backyard.

“Matthew and Claire were the most wonderful dog/house sitters while we were away! They took such great care of our pup and sent us lots of updates and photos throughout their stay. They were able to manage walks with him, even though he can be on the more nervous side. They also took great care of the house. We are so grateful for them both and will definitely book with them again!”

“Holly sent us videos and pictures of our boys while we were away, she was very sweet on our meet and greet before we left as well. She communicated often and was on time for everything. She took great care of our home and it was just like we left it when we returned.”

Sarah M.
“Once you meet Sarah, you will see how wonderful she is with pets. I needed a house sitter for my cat and two dogs. When Sarah stopped over for our meet and greet, everyone wanted her attention. Sarah is kind and fun and very relaxing to be around and it showed with my dogs who adored her. This was very apparent when I came home, the dogs ran to the door to welcomed me home and then went to the window looking for Sarah to come back. My feelings weren't hurt but maybe the dogs were. You wouldn't have even known Sarah stayed here, she is very tidy. I definitely hope the next time I need to go away, Sarah will be available. She's literally one in a million”

Keisha E.Star Sitter

Keshia is reliable, patient, and attentive—qualities that are essential in a trusted dog walker. Her calm and confident demeanor puts both pets and their owners at ease. She understands animal behavior and takes the time to ensure every walk is safe, enjoyable, and tailored to each dog’s individual needs. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pets with the same care and respect she gives her own, I wholeheartedly recommend Keshia. Your furry companions will be in excellent hands.”

Lower Sackville pet parents share their Rover experiences
Claire did such an amazing job overnight taking care of Otis my 7 mos old puppy! I was able to enjoy my weekend away for a wedding without having to stress!! She sent pictures/ videos/ texts daily to let me know how the day/ night was going. Highly recommend her :)

Karly was super sweet and very accommodating when I needed someone last minute to help with my senior dog Penny ! Having never left Penny with anyone but friends in her 14 years Karly made me feel comfortable and confident she would be well taken care of. Penny can be a bit more work in her older years and that was not an issue at all. I was updated throughout all the days we were gone. Penny was happy and relaxed when we got back. Would 100% recommend and will use her again if we need to !!!

Allison is an absolute gem! To say she is an animal advocate is an understatement! She was fabulous with my two cats! She kept me up to date every day on how they were doing! She sent me videos and pictures. Some pictures of her snuggling with my cats! They loved her! She also looked after my house and kept it clean! I will definitely ask her to look after my babies again!
