About: I have always had a cat in my life and I have also volunteered over 200 hours caring for cats at the SPCA. I experienced a wide variety of cats, including many shy and anxious ones. While I have the most experience with cats, I would love to take your well-behaved dog for a walk or run. I am currently a student taking online courses, so I have complete flexibility for drop-in visits and walks throughout the week. I plan my schoolwork around visits so I can meet your pet’s needs and stay consistent with their routine. I’m a calm and patient person, and I always let your cat or dog approach me on their own terms. I never force interaction—I give them the space they need to feel safe and comfortable around me.
About: I am a calm and quiet person, and I believe pets appreciate me because I understand the importance of giving them the time and space they need to adjust when I am in their space while their family is away. Growing up, I loved helping my family take care of their dogs. I have helped groom, train, feed, and walk their dogs. But I have always had a soft spot for cats and so the first pet of my own is a dog-like cat. I've pet-sat for my friends while they went on longer trips. I have taken care of small to medium sized dogs. I've also worked at a cat cafe, caring for as many as 20 cats at one time. Some of my responsibilities included cleaning, feeding, playing, and observing the cats to ensure they were living their best lives at the cafe before finding their forever homes. My pet is a 2 year old large breed cat whom I adore. He understands basic commands like sit, up, lay down, jump, give paw, spin, roll over, kiss, hug etc. Let me know what your pet's usual routine looks like and what you're looking for and we can go from there! For house sitting: Standard overnight sitting includes 1-2 daily check-ins and staying overnight. Custom schedules or higher-needs care can be accommodated at an adjusted rate. Safety and comfort are my top priority, and that starts with understanding your pet’s unique personality. If you have any notes or a care guide on their routine, please share them with me. I have a particular cat myself, so I’m very experienced with 'fussy' pets. I know that following their exact preferences isn't just about comfort—it’s about making sure they feel secure while you're away.
About: I've been pet sitting for 21 years and have spent my life caring for animals of all kinds. Over the years, I've worked as a pet sitter, dog walker, kennel assistant, veterinary assistant, and now working toward a profession of dog training, giving me experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, personalities, and energy levels. What sets me apart is that I don't simply exercise dogs - I help them build better habits. Every walk is a training opportunity, with a focus on calm behaviour, loose leash walking, engagement, impulse control, and good manners, all tailored to your dog's individual needs. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, seniors, reactive or anxious dogs, high-energy breeds, and pets requiring medication or special care. Whether your dog needs an adventure, extra patience, or a consistent routine while you're away, I'll care for them as if they were my own while providing plenty of updates and photos for your peace of mind. I'm currently building my dog training business full-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate my attention to every pet in my care. I'm available for weekday walks, drop-in visits, daycare, boarding, and overnight care. Because I intentionally limit the number of pets I care for at one time, every dog receives plenty of individual attention, exercise, and enrichment. My goal is quality care - not rushing from appointment to appointment. Your pet's safety and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I take the time to understand each dog's personality, routines, and comfort level before every booking. I use secure equipment, practice safe handling, and never introduce unfamiliar dogs unless requested by the owner. For boarding, dogs become part of my daily routine with structured walks, rest periods, enrichment activities, and lots of one-on-one attention. I maintain a calm environment that helps dogs feel relaxed and secure while you're away. You'll also receive regular photo updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.
“Communication is so timely and detailed and puts me at ease! I always appreciate the rover card updates on bathroom business and photos! Jenna is wonderful, definitely hire her if you want someone experienced with all energy types and keeping a close eye on puppy behaviours like snatching things off the ground lol”

About: I share my life with a sweet, high-energy Border Collie/German Shepherd/Husky mix, so I understand the importance of exercise, structure, and attentive care. Having spent most of my life around both dogs and cats, I’m comfortable with a wide range of temperaments and needs. As an active person, I’m well-suited for high-energy play, long walks, and keeping dogs mentally and physically engaged. I aim to return every dog happy, fulfilled, and well-exercised. I also have experience with basic training and reinforcement, and I prioritize consistency, safety, and clear communication. You can count on me to be reliable, respectful of your routine, and attentive to your pet’s individual needs. I work a part time job at an e-bike rental shop downtown Kelowna, outside of work I am happy to take care of your pets, and I usually work a maximum of 6 hours. Rest assured that your pups will receive the attention and care they deserve. I am attention detailed at following your specific guidelines in entering and leaving your home. I am happy to do everything from caring for your pet as well as cleaning if you wish. We can talk about cleaning in person.
“Laura is professional and reliable. She’s very great with my 6 month old puppy and is a great communicator. I hesitate writing a great review as I don’t want everyone scooping her up from me 😅”

“Paige has been great with Dave! He is always pooped at the end of his walks and she send great updates through photos. Paige has been really flexible with scheduling and reliable, which has been great! Could recommend more.”

About: Hi! I’m excited to offer attentive, loving care for your pets. Animal care has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember—I’ve been caring for dogs and puppies since I was 10 years old, raising my own pups, and regularly stepping in to look after pets for friends and family. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and sizes. Through training my own dog as a young adult and helping foster rescue dogs in my home, I’ve learned how to handle diverse personalities with patience, clear communication, and positive reinforcement. Whether your dog needs an active, energizing walk around the neighborhood, structured care, or just a calm, cozy stay while you’re away, you can trust that they will be safe, happy, and treated like family. Specialized Experience: Experienced in managing high-energy breeds, anxious temperaments, basic obedience training, multi-dog dynamics, and foster care. My flexible schedule as a part-time student and part-time employee allows me to give your pet consistent care, attention, and companionship throughout the day. Because I have substantial breaks between my classes and dedicated afternoon blocks off, I can easily fit in mid-day check-ins, walks, and feeding schedules. Monday & Wednesday: Available for morning, mid-day, and late afternoon check-ins during my class breaks, as well as full evening availability. Tuesday: Open and available all afternoon and evening. Thursday: Free during the morning and afternoon for check-ins and walks before my evening work shift. Friday: Available for morning and mid-day check-ins before my evening work shift. Saturday: Available for evening walks, dinner drop-ins, and overnight stays following my daytime work shift. Sunday: Completely free all day and evening for full-day care, long walks, and flexible scheduling. Note: I’m always happy to share my exact class times during our meet-and-greet to lock in the precise time slots that best fit your dog’s routine! If you are looking for overnight boarding or daycare in West Kelowna, your pup will love staying at my home! Fully Fenced, Spacious Yard: I have a large, securely fenced backyard with plenty of room for your dog to safely run, play, fetch, and stretch their legs. Safe & Secure: Peace of mind is my top priority. The perimeter is fully enclosed so your dog can enjoy outdoor playtime safely and securely. Comforts of Home: Indoors, your dog will be treated like family—with cozy places to rest, plenty of personal attention, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Note that my home is pet free as well
“Ashley was fantastic!! Took my Doggo on a great walk to the play park so she could run around with some other dogs, when I just didn’t have the time. My dog instantly really liked Ashley, which made the whole process super easy.”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I have 20 years of dog ownership, 8 years with cats, and experience caring for a horse. Professionally, I’ve worked in a doggy daycare for 2 years and as a dog groomer for 1 year, plus 3 years running my own dog-sitting side hustle. I’m confident with dogs of all breeds and personalities and genuinely love what I do. I’m currently building my portfolio as a Newly licensed Residential Property Manager. I make my own schedule and I either work from home or easily on the go, so I figured why not do a bit more of what I really love the most. I currently offer in-home check ins, sitting and walking. As an experienced Pet-Sitter, and a professional property manager, I have a unique understanding of trust and care when it comes to your home and your pet!
“Amazing. She clearly loves what she does and it shows. Very flexible and willing to change days as needed. Highly recommend. The only reason she's not continuing to walk my girl is because I'm moving.”

About: I am a university student at UBCO living at home with my family and 2 dogs. This gives me the unique flexibility to stay overnight and care for pets on short notice. I have had dogs my whole life, and currently have a senior rescue, and a puppy at home. This gives me the experience I need to care for all kinds of dogs, well trained, not yet trained, puppies, seniors, rescues, purebreds etc. I have been dog and cat sitting for family friends several times a year for over 3 years since high school. I am a very responsible person, extremely reliable, and communicate well. I love the outdoors and going for walks, as well as lazy days at home. I have a very flexible school and work schedule. I am a student at UBCO and have several 3-4 hour gaps in my day which I can come home and spend time with the pets. I am done my classes around dinner time, and can come straight home for the evening. On the weekends, I am a server at a restaurant in town and generally only work 4-6 hour shifts. This means I am around for the majority of the day. I have been dog walking for many years as I have had dogs my whole life. With clients, I try and keep the pet’s routine as similar as possible to their owner’s. I like to be around as much as possible and keep the pets as comfortable as they can be while their owner is away.
About: Hello! I work from home so in an ideal situation to care for your fur baby! I have many years of experience caring for pets in our neighbourhood, pets of friends, and of course many pets growing up including cats, dogs, gerbils, hamsters, fish, and rabbits. In my home, we are a family of 4 with two daughters, twins age 12 years who love animals. We also have two cats of our own that are apart of our loving home. I will care for your fur baby like our own! As a mother who works from home I can be around for your pets needs for pretty much all day! I love to get outdoors every day, so your pet will have lots of time outside (if that's what is required). I will ensure your pets are safe and sound at all hours of the day in addition to feeling loved and cared for. Let me know any special care required and what your pet's likes and wants, and I will make sure they are taken care of!
About: Hello! I have lived with dogs & cats numerous times over the years and miss being around them! I grew up with many small animals well loved including a tarantula, gold fish, frogs, budgies, and a cockatiel. I have owned two guinea pigs as an adult and absolutely spoiled them with a massive cage and toys, to make up for the one I had as a kid I didn't know how to take care of and have extensive knowledge with them. I also have experience watching bearded dragons, crested geckos, and other small animals. I love looking up information on different animals and breeds as I get to know them and further my knowledge. Thank you for considering me! I work part-time and attend school. Caring for animals is a wonderful way to relax and enjoy life and the personalities that all different animals offer. I am very cautious with plants, things left on the floor, food sensitives and any instructions and needs that the animal has to offer, and you request to feel reassured leaving your pet in my hands.
“Lori is fantastic with dogs. She establishes firm but loving contact which is exactly what is required. As a result, our boy is ecstatic to see her and behaves beautifully when with her. She is also an excellent communicator, professional and personable. Very happy to have found Lori and to have her looking after our boy.”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and care I have for every dog I meet. I've always been a huge dog lover, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to the pets in my care. I can provide regular walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of companionship throughout the day. When pets stay in my home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved from the moment they arrive. I have an amazing backyard for them to play as well as near by parks to take them on walks.

Capri was excellent with my two small dogs. I appreciate that she stayed in touch throughout her time with them, sent me some cute photos, and worked around my schedule. She was mindful of my dachshund's physical limitations, and her former dogsitting experiences were interesting to hear about. I'd definitely hire Capri again!

Emily was so awesome with our pup! She walked him and kept him company while we were out of town, and went totally above and beyond. She is a great communicator and gave us lots of updates. He’s a big boy with a somewhat quirky disposition but she totally understood him.

Aurielee was fantastic!! She hit it off right away with Angus on the meet and greet. Then sent me pics and updates as my 10 day vacation went on. She was doing the 11:00 ish walk. They played fetch and he looked happy and engaged with her play time. Thank you so much Aurielee!!! I’ll definitely recommend her and I’ll be using her again in Jan when I leave for a week. Good Job all around.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kelowna choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
