“Anna is awesome! Great communication and updates! It's easy to see she is a knowledgeable pet lover! Our dog Tux is already looking forward to his next visit! Thank you, Anna!”

“Laura is professional and reliable. She’s very great with my 6 month old puppy and is a great communicator. I hesitate writing a great review as I don’t want everyone scooping her up from me 😅”

About: I am a calm and quiet person, and I believe pets appreciate me because I understand the importance of giving them the time and space they need to adjust when I am in their space while their family is away. Growing up, I loved helping my family take care of their dogs. I have helped groom, train, feed, and walk their dogs. But I have always had a soft spot for cats and so the first pet of my own is a dog-like cat. I've pet-sat for my friends while they went on longer trips. I have taken care of small to medium sized dogs. I've also worked at a cat cafe, caring for as many as 20 cats at one time. Some of my responsibilities included cleaning, feeding, playing, and observing the cats to ensure they were living their best lives at the cafe before finding their forever homes. My pet is a 2 year old large breed cat whom I adore. He understands basic commands like sit, up, lay down, jump, give paw, spin, roll over, kiss, hug etc. Let me know what your pet's usual routine looks like and what you're looking for and we can go from there! For house sitting: Standard overnight sitting includes 1-2 daily check-ins and staying overnight. Custom schedules or higher-needs care can be accommodated at an adjusted rate. Safety and comfort are my top priority, and that starts with understanding your pet’s unique personality. If you have any notes or a care guide on their routine, please share them with me. I have a particular cat myself, so I’m very experienced with 'fussy' pets. I know that following their exact preferences isn't just about comfort—it’s about making sure they feel secure while you're away.
“Ashley was fantastic!! Took my Doggo on a great walk to the play park so she could run around with some other dogs, when I just didn’t have the time. My dog instantly really liked Ashley, which made the whole process super easy.”

“Kate was great with my little dog and two cats. She came for a visit, took the dog for a small walk and gained his trust. That says a lot. She got him to walk further every time. She’s a lovely creative person. I highly recommend her and will be booking her again soon.”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I have 20 years of dog ownership, 8 years with cats, and experience caring for a horse. Professionally, I’ve worked in a doggy daycare for 2 years and as a dog groomer for 1 year, plus 3 years running my own dog-sitting side hustle. I’m confident with dogs of all breeds and personalities and genuinely love what I do. I’m currently building my portfolio as a Newly licensed Residential Property Manager. I make my own schedule and I either work from home or easily on the go, so I figured why not do a bit more of what I really love the most. I currently offer in-home check ins, sitting and walking. As an experienced Pet-Sitter, and a professional property manager, I have a unique understanding of trust and care when it comes to your home and your pet!
About: I have a large mix breed rescue pup who we have developed lots of skills and knowledge from through his care and training. He is now 1.5 years old and I would love to apply these skills to caring for your pets whilst you’re away! I know how important and sometimes difficult it is to find the right person to look after your dog or cat in your absence. There is also the potential for finding a dog friend for our own pup so that we could have a mutual pet sitting relationship ☺️ Growing up, we had a family cat who was a member of the family and lived until 20 years old. As an adult, I have looked after and cared for many of my housemates pets including their cats and several dogs. I love animals and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to spend time with your beloved pets while you’re away. I work full-time but I would be able to check on and care for your pets before 8am and after 4pm. I am also available for the whole weekend and summer break July and August. Currently, I would like to pet sit in your house whilst our puppy is still in training. We may eventually be able to board in our home also.
“Kayla is such an excellent dog walker. She was punctual, very friendly with my dog and was very eager to work on training practices with my dog during her walk with him. I received photo updates throughout the walk as well!”

“Paige has been great with Dave! He is always pooped at the end of his walks and she send great updates through photos. Paige has been really flexible with scheduling and reliable, which has been great! Could recommend more.”

About: I have 6 years of pet sitting experience with many different animals such as cats, dogs and other small pets. I am reliable and affordable and will provide the best care for your pets! I take care of pets daily as I have my own dog whom I love so much. I will also occasionally pet sit for family and friends. I have made sure my house is a very pet friendly space provided with lots of entertainment, water and food bowls around the house. No dangerous or small items are scattered around my place.
About: For as long as I can remember I’ve taken care of animals. Everything from Goldfish to Great Danes, bunnies to bearded dragons. I love caring for animals. I’m always the first call for friends and family when they need a pet sitter or top notch dog walker. I have experience with walking larger breeds of dogs who need a bit more patience while learning in both puppy and adult stages of life. I have plenty of experience with smaller breeds aswell. Weather you need someone to give your pet the same love and care while your away or burn some energy while your at work, Im your gal! I currently have a 1.5 year Australian Shepard and 9 year old calico cat, additionally take care of a 2.5 year old Border Collie multiple times a week. I own my own photography company and teach dance one evening a week, this allows me lots of extra time to fill with taking care of your pets needs! I am more than will to come to your house to allow your dog the most comfortable if suitable. Additionally if your dog likes some company, my dog Sydney has already picked the perfect toy to share with your pup! Living in the okanagan my whole life has allowed me to find great places to take your pet to run and play without fear of them getting loose or running into unwanted friends along the way. I put the same amount of care, if not more, in to your animals than I do my own! Friends and family describe me as calm in nature, patient and kind.
“Patricia has been walking Dolly twice a week and is a dream! She is incredibly responsible and conscientious, and sends so many pictures of my girl! I know that Dolly is in wonderfully safe and loving hands with Patricia and her family.”

My Chico is most comfortable in the van cause he knows it’s our home I’m really easy to get along with and flexible to clients needs for their pets , communication is always key to keep pets happy and safe .
About: I’ve been taking care of my own pets for around ten years, and before that I had, and continue to, frequently house and dog sit! I am currently a student at UBCO and I am able to be quite flexible in my schedule in order to provide the care and services you may need! I can easily take care of animals with higher needs, and have experience with very high energy and moderately reactive animals! I try to be as accommodating as possible!
“Lori is fantastic with dogs. She establishes firm but loving contact which is exactly what is required. As a result, our boy is ecstatic to see her and behaves beautifully when with her. She is also an excellent communicator, professional and personable. Very happy to have found Lori and to have her looking after our boy.”

“Amazing. She clearly loves what she does and it shows. Very flexible and willing to change days as needed. Highly recommend. The only reason she's not continuing to walk my girl is because I'm moving.”

About: Currently I have 2 dogs, & 2 cats. I also live with 1 other wonderful cat who belong to my bro. I care for her when he is away! Throughout my whole life theres always been some sort of pet in our home from fish, hamsters, mice, chinchillas, reptiles, cats and dogs. At a young age I'd help my parents to walk or care for the pets in some way, I've always loved animals. When I was 12 I helped puppysit, brush and walk a large sheepdog and small bulldog, I loved it! Ongoing in my life as I grew up and now I care for many animals. Because of this I feel I'd be perfect to be in charge of your pets care! I will love, walk, brush, wash and care for your pet as if they were in my family, as I would for my own pets I love. I am organized and good at keeping to schedules so I'll always be on time for your pets needs! Whether it be some play time, belly rubs or even a walk. I care for all pets how thier owners wish and instruct! I can even administer medication in pill or liquid form, just not injections. I have experience with puppies, middle age and senior dogs. I also have experience with cats, some reptiles & budgies and parrots 🦜 I care for my own pets everyday and night. I work as a pastry chef in the evenings so day time and days off are best for me for daily pet care or walks. But anytime is good for house sitting ! I care for all pets how thier owners wish and instruct! I can play with them, walk them, feed them, administer medication in pill or liquid form, just not injections. I have experience with puppies, middle age and senior dogs. I also have experience with cats, some reptiles & budgies and parrots 🦜

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Kelowna
Emily was so awesome with our pup! She walked him and kept him company while we were out of town, and went totally above and beyond. She is a great communicator and gave us lots of updates. He’s a big boy with a somewhat quirky disposition but she totally understood him.

Aurielee was fantastic!! She hit it off right away with Angus on the meet and greet. Then sent me pics and updates as my 10 day vacation went on. She was doing the 11:00 ish walk. They played fetch and he looked happy and engaged with her play time. Thank you so much Aurielee!!! I’ll definitely recommend her and I’ll be using her again in Jan when I leave for a week. Good Job all around.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kelowna choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
