“Michaela to the rescue! Very last minute I learned I had to stay for a night shift and asked if she did any late visits as my partner would also be returning home late from work. She accepted the offer without reservation - something I did not expect and could not appreciate more. Cannot say enough good things about her. If you’re scrolling through trying to pick someone, she is your winner!”

About: Hi, I have had pets my whole life and like animals better than most people. While your pet is with me, I will treat them as my own, which means walks, parks, treat and lots of attention. I do have a smaller breed dog, but she loves people and dogs and would love to play. I work Monday to Friday until 3:30 pm and am home evenings and weekends. My dog is with me as much as possible when i am not at work. Your dog would be treated the same! I dont have a fenced yard, but i do have a large backyard with grass that i can take you dog out to with a leash for pee breaks.

About: I have been around dogs since the day I was born, and have always loved all animals. My family has rescued many dogs, horses, and donkeys over the years. We are all very passionate about giving animals the best life they deserve. Growing up around animal lovers allowed me to learn how to take care of them at a very young age, and I thoroughly enjoy my time around all of the different personalities! I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and I have lots of experience with puppies and dogs with special needs. I like to do a meet & greet prior to booking as I feel it’s very important to meet each other first and ensure the animals are comfortable with me in your presence. It also allows time for you to run through a routine together before your time away. I work-from-home fully and therefore I am able to be in your home as often as needed throughout the days. I always run through expectations and what an optimal day looks like for your fur baby during the meet & greet. I am very appreciative of the fact that each person has certain aspects of a routine for their animals and I really like continuing that as much as possible. You know your animal more than I will, at least initially, and I trust that you know their current likes/dislikes and where to start off. I am comfortable teaching them new things and developing changes in routines too, but I respect when a good thing has been going already.

“Matt was professional, communicative and took my pup for nice long walks! Would recommend!”

“We are so fortunate to have found Danyelle for our pup! She was able to accommodate us on short notice and has taken fantastic care of our dog. She really does go the extra mile, -(after every walk she makes sure our lil one has water before leaving / takes photos on the walks to brighten up your day )- She’s extremely punctual and great with our younger dog.”

About: I have plenty of experience working with animals including dogs, cats and rabbits. I am an avid outdoor enthusiast and have been missing having a furry companion at my side while I go for my walks and runs out in nature. I would be so happy to take your dog out for walks, potty breaks or house sitting while you are away. I currently work full time. Though I am available for your doggie needs in the evenings from Monday to Friday, along with being available throughout the entire weekend. I am very trustworthy, reliable and attentive to your animals needs. I would respect your home as I do my own. I look forward to meeting you and spending time with your pup!

About: I received my second degree for ECE (early childhood education). We cared for children from three years old to three months old so basically there was almost no verbalization with them letting us know what they needed. Just like animals for babies and toddlers are a lot alike in the sense that as their provider, I made sure they were mentally simulated, had a regular feeding routine, noticing when they needed to go to the bathroom but MOST importantly was they felt SAFE, cared for and could TRUST me from the moment they were dropped off until they were picked up and that did take some time, but fortunately for me not a long time. I chose this experience to share because it’s very close to taking care of animals and most of not all the families I’ve worked with see their animal as just another child only with lots of hair. So just like I would do with all the babies and children I’ve watched in the past I would make sure they were safe and protected , hopefully get them to trust me, and know that I am here for them for whatever they need so they are having such a good time right up until they make it back to their family happy and well cared for. I’m lucky because I have a very open schedule because my last few semesters I’m completing from home. It was really hard to have other jobs outside of my home AND do school, so when I found out about Rover, I dug my heels in and did as much research as possible to see if I could do it, especially living alone with no help, but I’ve been an independent woman all my life and I’m extremely resourceful as well as a quick learner, my concern was more about the fact that being a border was a JOB so I would have to make sure I split my time up during my days. Also, stock my house up with everything I would need to make it animal friendly so I wouldn’t have to leave anywhere if I ran out of something that their owners supply.., I have everything on a very workable and repetitive schedule where I spend virtually most my day with whoever I’m boarding and whenever they’re taking naps or just hanging out, I can get some schoolwork done. Since I’m am able to make my own schedule and hours makes me a perfect candidate to board your animal because of my flexibility and am open to negotiating some of the guidelines and expectations Rover have along with some of the expectations I’ve written out. I’m very approachable so ask anything, for the most part I’ll do my very best to make it work for you, I’m extremely easy going. You just have to verbalize to me and explain your wishes for your fur baby I’m sure we could come to a resolution. My job first and foremost is to make sure that your animal is taken care of to the best of my capabilities, that they feel safe and cared for and mostly feeling calm and happy. I can promise you your animal will be very happy, well fed according to your feeding schedule and VERY active and despite how long you’re comfortable with me leaving your animal alone, I haven’t left a single animal alone for more than a half hour since I started Rover. I just feel so bad leaving them in a space they’re not used to plus this is a job so I should be there for their every need, it helps a lot when owners allow me to take their animal with me, for instance, I do once a week of family dinner and they always let me take their animal with me because my parents don’t have any animals and they have a huge house so 9/10 the animal likes being there more than my place because their loved on so much by my niece and nephew. Or if I had to go somewhere like an appointment, I would get my neighbour upstairs to watch them, she’s amazing with helping me out if I need her and very, very trustworthy. At the end of the day I will follow your rules and guidelines to a T. I’ll make sure you get lots of videos and pictures, little day to day updates if you wish as well as I keep my own personal Rover written diary, I Started doing that with my very first dog and have continued to just so I can remember our time together and got to know their personality on our first time basis so I would make notes about all of that so if in the future, I babysit them again, I could refer back to the last time I had them. I’ll always try my best to work with you and give your animal the very best service I’m capable of providing. Saftety and Trust When I first got the job I spent a good month researching everything I would need to know about being the best dog or cat border possible. Still to this day learning new things but for the most part I am constantly taking courses or classes to update my animal knowledge. I try everyday to research whatever animal someone asks me to board to make sure I have some sort of idea of what they like and what they dislike. When I say I have 10 years experience, that’s me boarding/babysitting, on my own for friends or word-of-mouth, In truth, I’ve had much more experience with all types of animals all my life growing up on a farm, being an animal lover, and always my entire life having an animal, one of my best friends is a veterinarian who also does acupuncture on animals. I even fell in love with a cat from Peru and after three months of travelling around the country with him I got all his shots and paperwork and brought him home and gifted my parents with their new Peruvian cat only because they can speak Spanish, and I couldn’t so it was the only right thing to do🤭 I have learned the most hands down from each animal I’ve cared for over all the years I’ve had or been around them. I have enjoyed each and every one of them.I hope to be a Rover sitter for as long as I can possibly be even after starting my career. Environment: I have a fenced yard and my front door opens up to a pet friendly animal park. I live in a very clean house and use organic animal, cleaning products to wash everything top to bottom after every animal that has stayed my house, even if it’s just for a few days, I do a full scrub down of my house using the safe and organic animal cleaning supplies that take away any odours or smells of animals who had just been here. I wash all my sheets, and I have a huge closet filled with back up toys, extra animal blankets, leashes, doggy bags, bowls, brushes, a wide variety of treats (from biscuits to healthy organic snacks), shanpooo, etc. I also have medical supplies such as wraps or tick combs and removers. I have lots of creams or medicines for rashes however, I would never administer any thing like that myself without consoling the owner as well as calling Rover‘s vet or taking the animal to a vet with the owners approval unless I thought it was in the pets best interest to take them into emergency straight away. I live a close knit community where everyone knows everyone, it’s extremely safe and the best part is the majority of the neighborhood all have animals and it’s extremely rare to not see someone walking their dog or in some cases walking their cat. This is 100% a pet friendly community and everyone looks out for everyone, pets included. I would also make sure to keep you updated with pictures, videos and send messages throughout the day about how they are doing if you so wish

About: For most of my life I have had a dog or cat to care for and at times more than one! I have a big heart and a love for all kinds of animals! I love interacting with them and learning about their different personalities. My husband and I currently have a 8 year old small dog and a 4 year old cat. We are registered nurses by profession so one of us is usually home and available to look after the animals. We love to live an active life of hiking, biking, walks and pretty much anything outdoors! We have had some great experiences using Rover and we forward to walking and caring for other animals like our own. My husband and I work shift work so we have flexible schedules to meet the needs of any animals. We have a fenced yard and lots of great walking trails near by to explore. I am available for boarding your pets in your home or ours. I am also available for drop in visits and dog walks on a regular basis or for visiting guests. I will treat your animals like my own and make their time with me as comfortable as possible.

About: Hi, I’m Emily! As an avid adventurer and dog lover, I believe every pup deserves daily exercise, enrichment, and plenty of love! I work remote which gives me the flexibility to take dogs on mid-day walks and hikes while also being present with them throughout the day. My lifestyle allows me to travel and meet new families and pets, giving me the opportunity to provide loving, reliable care wherever I go. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, fish, and rabbits, so I understand the unique needs and responsibilities that come with caring for animals. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or structured walks, I’ll treat your dog like one of my own! I look forward to meeting you! I work remote Monday - Friday so I have flexibility with daily dog walks/ pet care. If you require boarding, I will always be home with your pet through the day because of this. I always ensure your pet gets plenty of exercise and pee breaks. I like to adhere to your rules for the pets because I understand the importance enforcing proper training.

About: Your dog will get exercise to stay healthy, I will feed the dog as requested and play with the dog giving love and positive affirmations. Treats, if the owner wants, usually a change of scenery is always fun with new walks. The fun is to play during the walk throwing a ball or stick petting the dog through the walk. Social contact is sometimes good depending on the dog. Pick up after the dog when it has to poop. Have fresh water available if the day is hot. If the dog loves water take them to the lake to swim. The fun at the beach is great. Your dog is beside me on a leash as long as I feel it is needed. The dog should only be loose in a safe environment and after getting to know the dog and it style. I currently walk daily and enjoy the companionship of Rascal and Simon who are dogs, l dog sit while their parents go on holidays. We walk at least 2 times a day in the park. I usual go to the clients home but would do both as needed.. the dog must be house trained to come to my house. Having taken dog training classes l would always follow their routine.

“So grateful for the wonderful walk Kristi provided for my dogs. I would definitely recommend her and use her services again in the future.”

“Words cannot express how grateful I am for Keeley! I am a new dog owner and only had Nelo for 1.5 days when I met Keeley. I was pretty stressed as a new owner as Nelo was having a lot of anxiety since changing environments. Keeley was not only able to walk my 9 yr old doggo the next day but was also able to help Nelo transition with the changes. She is so attentive and Nelo was immediately attracted to Keeley’s lovely demeanor. Keeley provided great real time updates of the walk which relieved my anxieties while I was at work. She also noticed when Nelo got tired and decided to head back to the house to play for the remainder of the time. I came home to a happy, calm, and much less anxious dog. I appreciate her attentiveness, punctuality, communication, and support! Do not hesitate to book your doggo needs with Keeley!”

About: What sets me apart is my diverse and extensive experience with pets of all kinds. I've grown up with animals for over 20 years and have cared for everything from dogs and cats to farm animals. My hands-on experience sets me apart, as I’m able to provide calm, structured care tailored to each pet’s needs. “We are so thrilled to have found Joanna to care for Simon and Rascal in our home while we were away for two weeks. Joanna is a fully loving, caring and devoted caregiver. She took such care to come early to make sure she would learn all about their needs and routines and medications. She took great care of their needs and they just did great with her. The day before we left Simon had to have an unexpected surgery and we felt confident leaving him in Joanna's care. She did all of the post surgery procedures and took him to two vet appointments. Joanna walked the dogs faithfully two times a day rain or shine. They really took to her The dogs and the house were in absolutely great shape when we came home. She even did many extras to make it nice for all of us. She really cares about our family and takes great pride in doing a super job.
