“We were visiting from out of town and wanted to enjoy a dinner out. I felt very comfortable with Marylin and her communication. Stanley gets anxious without us but everything worked out since Marylin also has a doxie! I would recommend Marylin if you need a dog sitter. Thanks again!”

“Jutharat and her husband were amazing! Our fur baby couldn’t have been in better hands. They took her on a hike and she had some friends to keep her company. I would happily use their services again.”

“Leanne was great. Despite Angel and Birdie being very excitable and energetic (and nervous) as they are brand new to us, she was able to cope and keep them happy. I would definitely recommend Leanne in the future.”

“Lovely couple with big hearts. I gave them very little notice but they were quite accommodating and helped me when I was in a bind. For that I am truly grateful. Tucker was very tired when he came home so I know he played and played.”

“Nash had a great time playing at Darcy’s and is exhausted now ha ha. He always gets excited when we drive up to her place. She takes good care of Nash. Thank you Darcy!!”

“Rhonda was amazing with Coffee! She kept me updated throughout the day and sent lots of pictures, including one from their trip to the beach. Coffee had such a great time! She was also very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, which I really appreciated. I would definitely book with Rhonda again!”

“Jeanine is lovely and so compassionate towards the dogs in her care. She allowed my dog to explore and get himself situated and warm up to her and the environment at his pace. Would absolutely recommend her!”

“Harley absolutely loves going to daycare! He now has a buddy to play and boy does he have with Bruce! I have no worries leaving Harley with Shelley, it sure eases the mind when you know your little is loved!”

“Catherine is an amazing sitter. She took such good care of Stuart every day. He came home tired from hiking and play and each morning was excited to jump into her arms for a snuggle. Normally he has very bad separation anxiety and hates to leave my husband and I, so this is really saying something! Catherine will treat your pets as if they were her own.”

“Sylvie was amazing to deal with from the get-go. Quick to respond, experienced, clean, comfortable environment and very friendly. She spoiled my girl, took her out for a ride in her convertible and got her a treat. I am so thankful! 5 stars, would recommend and use again!”

“Anothai and Mersad are the loveliest couple! They took such wonderful care of Luna. They are responsive and sent us lovely pictures and videos throughout the day. Thank you so much!”

“We’re happy to have found Suzanne. She was very welcoming and easy going. She loves dogs and it shows. She gave so much love to our dog (Cocoa). We would definitely bring Cocoa back again. Highly recommend her.”

“Aiden and Amy were amazing. They took such good care of my dog and were great at staying in communication so I knew he was in good hands. I highly recommend them to take care of your pet.”

About: I’ve been a pet owner all my life. From mice, rats, bunnies, chickens, quail, ferrets, aquatics, birds, cats, and dogs. I’m offering a home experience. I can take Critters of all sorts anytime, however my cat or dog reservations are from one household set at a time. I have an easygoing chihuahua who gets along with everyone. A meet and greet can be set up prior to ease everyone’s comfort. He is cat savvy and believes they’re his friend, however if your feline prefers their space he can take a hint. I’m comfortable giving your pet meds. We have a cute fenced safe secure yard and nice quiet neighbourhood for walks. I’m currently home 90% of the time (though I am looking for more work outside the home part time.) Our home is very comfortable and and fur babies are a priority. We are a positive pet home. Cuddles and Netflix, yard time and walks. Plenty of one sided conversations and side eye looks. Unlike grandmas house, we do respect fur babies Mama and Papa’s rules. ;) we have fun and patience but routine is important for happy secure babies.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life and have always lived with them! I grew up with a wannabe escape artist beagle, and feel confident I can handle the most stubborn of dogs now! I know how scary it can be to leave your pup, and I ensure I will love and care for your dog as if it were my own! In October 2024 we adopted a sweet girl from Mexico named Azul. She is my whole life! She would love to make some new doggy friends! I am here to make you feel comfortable with leaving your best friend in the hands of someone else. Whatever your pups needs are, I am happy to handle them with the best of care! Whether that be specific times/places for potty breaks and walks, administering medication, or anything else required! I will always be home with your pup and won’t leave them alone. My puppy had separation anxiety so I know how important it can be to some pups that I am always there! I currently don’t have a fenced yard but I have plenty of grassy space around my appartment to take your pups for their potty breaks and/or walks. My pup loves the dogs park, hikes, and walking in quiet areas, and I am happy to take yours wherever they are most comfortable for their adventures!
“Michelle took such good care of our baby girl! Penelope warmed up to her right away and Michelle sent me lots of photos throughout the day which made it easier to leave her. I will be using Michelle again!!”

- Your dog's leash and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Peachland commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in BC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
