About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my deep understanding of animal behavior and my ability to tailor care to each pet’s unique needs. I have experience with everything from training energetic puppies to providing gentle, attentive care for senior pets who need extra patience and comfort. I’m skilled in administering medication, handling special dietary needs, and recognizing signs of stress or illness early on. I am available for boarding on weekdays, weekends and holidays. I will have plenty of time to play with your pup! Sometimes I work one-two days a week. In my home, I create a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for pets. I provide plenty of exercise, playtime, and enrichment activities tailored to their needs. Whether it’s daily walks, interactive toys, or a cozy spot to relax, I make sure they feel at home. I maintain a clean space, follow their feeding and medication schedules, and ensure they receive plenty of attention and affection.
“Marcella was fantastic! She took my little dog on short notice and I felt comfortable with her right away. Her home is beautiful, welcoming, and clearly set up with dogs in mind. Her dog Winston is incredibly sweet and friendly, and was great with my little guy from the moment they met. It’s obvious she genuinely loves dogs and has lots of experience with them. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave my pup with her again and will definitely be using her services in the future.”

“Highly recommend! Tamara was so attentive with perfect care for our two dogs. I could tell both Sonny & Bosun were having a blast from the pictures she sent. If we ever visit this area again would definitely re book!”
About: Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm dog walker who is Walks and Wags Certified with Pet First Aid. I've also taken International Academy of Canine Trainers Certified Professional Dog Walker program. I'm an animal lover and have had pets all of my life. I especially love dogs of all shapes and sizes and am looking forward to taking care of your dog either as a dog walker or just for home visits to play and make sure that he/she is fine while you are at work. I'm happy to visit both young puppers and more senior doggos - as we all know your dog is the 'best dog ever' and I'm happy to treat your dog like my own! Looking forward to meeting you and your pet! I work remotely so am happy to have your dog as company to my own two fur babies! My yard is fenced so there is no fear for them to run in our backyard. I allow pets on furniture but do make sure that their paws are clean and that they do not rough house in the house. As I am working at home I can monitor them as well.

“Gina is wonderful. I'm a nervous parent. Always wondering what my little baby's doing when I'm not around, but with Gina, that insecurity just flies away. She's takes great care of Zoro and keeps me updated throughout the day.”
“Suzanne takes excellent care of Murphy! It’s evident she’s kind, patient and amazing with dogs. Murphy gets very excited when I drop her off in the morning before work. I know she’s in excellent hands with Suzanne.”

“We had a great experience with Anothai and Mersad watching our dog Molly today. They are such a kind and caring husband-and-wife team, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. Molly was very well cared for, and we felt completely at ease leaving her with them. It is such a nice feeling to find sitters who are warm, trustworthy, and clearly treat dogs with so much love and attention. We would absolutely book with them again and again!!! 😍😍😍”

“Brandyn and his girlfriend Suki looked after my dog when I was passing through Kelowna for a medical appointment. It was 38° and I could never have left him in the car even in a parkade. It was such a relief knowing he was in airconditioning! He seemed quite relaxed with them which was surprising since he is an anxious dog, so clearly they have great dog vibes. I would feel very comfortable leaving Juno with them again another time.”

About: I have always grown up with dogs around- big and small. I now have my own puppy who loves to play and meet other dogs. Open to walking/looking after your dog separately or having them tag along on our adventures to get extra exercise. I currently have a position part time as a nurse. This gives me plenty of days off to schedule dog-sitting, hikes, etc. I’ve managed repeating weekly walks, overnight stays, and one-off adventures so reach out if you have any questions! I am responsible, clean, and caring. If staying in your home, I would follow care instructions and leave the place clean for when you return. Growing up with dogs I know how to keep them safe and controlled, while still letting them play and explore.

About: We had a beautiful Golden Retriever 2013-2025 who went everywhere with me and was never left alone. I loved being with him, caring for him and other friends pets, walking, brushing, veterinary drop offs and collections as well as caring for elderly dogs too. I love all dogs. Will be with the dogs all day in my home and we have beautiful trails right at our doorstep for quick walks or longer hikes. Happy to be slower if dogs are older or small or longer if they have lots of energy. I work from home so pets would never be left alone, I have set up my work to fit in with caring for our own pet as a priority. Have looked after our own dog and walked 4-5 times daily with shorter potty breaks and longer excercise trips for 12 years. I have no fenced yard but have a provincial park and walking trails directly at my door so walking is never a problem. My own golden retriever will go outside for a variety of mini walks and a longer walk daily or we can take the car to other parks if requested.
About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and care I have for every dog I meet. I've always been a huge dog lover, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it's going for walks, playing, giving lots of cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to the pets in my care. I can provide regular walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of companionship throughout the day. When pets stay in my home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved from the moment they arrive. I have an amazing backyard for them to play as well as near by parks to take them on walks.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I have 20 years of dog ownership, 8 years with cats, and experience caring for a horse. Professionally, I’ve worked in a doggy daycare for 2 years and as a dog groomer for 1 year, plus 3 years running my own dog-sitting side hustle. I’m confident with dogs of all breeds and personalities and genuinely love what I do. I’m currently building my portfolio as a Newly licensed Residential Property Manager. I make my own schedule and I either work from home or easily on the go, so I figured why not do a bit more of what I really love the most. I currently offer in-home check ins, sitting and walking. As an experienced Pet-Sitter, and a professional property manager, I have a unique understanding of trust and care when it comes to your home and your pet!

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Vernon commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in BC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
