“I can’t say enough positive feedback with our experience with Katrina and her family! She sent us lots of pics and videos during his stay which was great. My Great Dane/ English Mastiff had amazing stay! He was well taken care of and given the attention he loves. He has some separation anxiety but with the kindness Katrina gave him he was right at ease. Will 💯 use Katrina again 😊”

“Skyler had a nice four nights stayed with Marcella. She is very experienced with dogs. Told he was comfortable at her home which is wonderful since it was only the second time Skyler had been away from the family. We also like that Skyler had doggie company during his stay as he likes socializing.”

“Our dogs love to spend time with Joseph and Tina. They are comfortable with the surroundings and feel completely at home. The yard is amazing and Joseph and Tina make frequent visits to the dog park to get them out and to socialize. We could not be happier with the care Charlie and Murphy receive.”

About: Our daughter would like to take the lead. She is new to pet sitting but has a way with all animals. Mom has dog and cat sitting experience from before kids and also had a dog growing up. We are mostly available for weekend jobs. With notice we can usually work a Monday or Friday in. We are open to weekday stays but we work out of the house so it’s a long day for the animals in the house. We have a fenced yard and are open to crate trained or free range animals. Your animals will become part of our family during their stay.
About: I have loved animals my entire life. I have taken care of many different types of animals since I was very young. Horses, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits and birds. I have raised and trained two Working Line German Shepherds from puppies, with whom I have trained and competed with in high level obedience. I understand what it takes to have well trained, happy and genetically fulfilled dogs. I am actively going to training seminars and constantly expanding my knowledge. I have worked part time as a dog trainer teaching pet obedience classes. I have also taken online dog training courses, emergency dog first aid and raw fed nutrition courses. My day starts by making sure my dogs needs are met. They are fed, walked, stretched and trained daily. They are groomed multiples times throughout the week and participate in fun activities like tracking, obedience, dock diving and swimming weekly. When your dog boards with me, on our farm, they will be treated with the outmost love, care and respect. I would treat your best friend as I treat my own dogs. They will have access to 5 acres to explore and rest in a peaceful, relaxing environment.
“Carol was great with Sadie! She knows a lot about dogs and I very much appreciate that! Great daily communication while I was away and Sadie settled in very quickly at drop off. Would definitely recommend and book with Carol again!”

“Anothai and Mersad went above and beyond to care for our dog. We had multiple photo and video updates and we were so at ease knowing our dog had such a loving home while we were away. Thank you both again for everything! Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a great home away from home for their Pup!”

“Yolanda, you were amazing babysitter for Rex. I appreciate you putting Rex first while you were looking after him. You were a great dog sitter. Dealing with you Yolanda was incredible experience, you were kind, very Understanding, accepting to all my demands. It was pleasure dealing with you.”

“Morgan provided excellent care to my dog Winston while we were away for the weekend. She sent plenty of photo updates, followed our instructions carefully, exercised Winston well above our expectations, and even hand fed him when he was reluctant to eat. I was able to relax in vacation knowing he was in great hands. We will be using her again!”

“I genuinely can’t say enough wonderful things about Tessa! 🥹💕 She was absolutely amazing with my dogs and treated them with so much love and care. She took them for walks, gave them so much attention, and sent me the cutest photos and updates every single day. It made me feel so comfortable and happy knowing they were safe, loved, and having the best time while I was away. She truly went above and beyond. It was also my birthday while she was watching them, and she even surprised me with a birthday gift when I picked them up, which was honestly the sweetest and most thoughtful thing ever. 🥹💗 When I picked my dogs up, they were so happy and clearly had been so well taken care of. It’s such a good feeling finding someone you completely trust with your babies, and I’m so grateful I found Tessa. She will forever be my dog sitter now! I couldn’t recommend her enough — she’s caring, thoughtful, trustworthy, and genuinely such a sweet person. We absolutely adore her! 🐾💕”

“Gail was fantastic with Dolly! She’s incredibly responsive and kind, and it was clear Dolly loved being in her care. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter.”

“Suzanne took very good care of our senior dog, Pepper. She kept us updated with how he was doing over the weekend. She is a very nice person and I would recommend her to anyone who needs someone to take good care of their dog!”

“Lisa was truly amazing. She was kind, welcoming , so attentive to my little ones and just an overall joy to interact with. She kept me well updated with photos and videos and she did so shortly after drop off. I’m often very nervous leaving or trusting my dogs with anyone but she was definitely the best choice I could ever make!”

“Brianne was wonderful taking care of my puppy for three nights. She gave updates everyday and was able to spend one on one time with her everyday. It was Harleys first time away from me and she had a great experience! I don’t hesitate to recommend Brianne for anyone’s fur babies ❤️”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
