“Katrina was wonderful with my dog Rusty. She took him for walks and provided regular updates and photos of how he was doing. I will seek out Katrina’s services again to watch my big dog.”

“Tina and Joe are exceptional. We highly recommend them and would happily entrust them with our dogs again. They cared for our peppy 3 month (43lb) puppy for 4 nights. We are new to Rover and were trepidatious about leaving our puppy with “strangers” who might not be up for the extra level of care. From the very beginning Joe and Tina exceeded our expectations. They are 100% Dog People who are calm, friendly and know what how to care for dogs of all sizes and ages. They were great with communications and really present to our pup Toby. He got lots of attention, exercise and play. It meant we were able to enjoy our own getaway without any worries. Thanks so much, Joe and Tina!”

“Kathleen was great! She was super responsive, and we really appreciated the photos she sent showing that our kitty was settled and happily asking for belly rubs within a couple hours of dropping him off. Her dog, Ellie, is such a sweetheart and was clearly super friendly with our cat. Highly recommend!”

“Candace and her family are absolutely incredible! After our meet and greet we knew that our dog Tucker would have zero problems being under her care! She provided daily updates, would send pictures and kept us in the loop about everything! Our dog honestly had the best time with her family, he’s definitely sad to have to leave his new friends! He was given so much love! We will definitely be booking again with Candace! :)”

“Once again Carol G as done a fantastic job looking after Gus our 4lb Yorki. this is Carol the second time for 2 weeks at each time. Gus had a great time at Carols house. Carol keeps you updated on how Gus pretty much daily it helps us to settle into our trip with having no worries on how Gus is doing. Her 2 dashounds and Gus have lots of fun together. Carol will always be our first call when we book another holiday. Book Carol and you we be as relax as we were. Thank Carol for a perfect holiday. Brent Judy and Gus.”

“Jackie and Clyde were awesome! Jackie kept me up to date sending videos and pictures of their daily play and hikes. It was easy to see how much Jackie enjoys caring for pups and her pup Clyde loves having new friends to play with too. I had absolutely no worries or concerns while Ruger was with her. We will definitely use Jackie and Clyde again!”

“I am so happy I used Gina to watch my 2 chihuahuas while we were on vacation. I was nervous as I have never had them watched by someone they don't know yet. Gina sent me pictures and updates often, easing my mind. She has a huge yard so my pups got a lot of outside time and they got along with her 3 dogs and grandchildren so well! It was a pleasure having Gina watch our babies and we highly recommend her!”

“Gail was excellent. Met with her beforehand to get an idea of the layout to see if my senior boy-Harley would fit in at her home. Harley loved his companionship with her two little dogs. I felt very comfortable leaving him there. It’s good knowing he has a place to go to where he’s comfortable. Gail sent me pictures and was very communicative on how he was doing while he was in her care. I highly recommend Gail.”

“Abigail had the best time with Cassie and her boys! Great communication while we were gone with notes and picture updates. The boys both let me know they would love to have Abi again if we need a sitter again. We knew Abigail had fun when we arrived and she didn't want to come home with us!!!! Always a good sign, when your pet is so happy in the new environment that she doesn't want to leave. I highly recommend Cassie and her family to watch your fur baby and will be sure to check her availability next time we need a sitter.”

“Morgan was such a help at the last minute looking after Carl. She sent pictures and I could see he was well looked after. It is a comfort knowing that Morgan is available should we need someone to look after Carl in the future.”

“Our dog Melody loved her stay here. She was basically running into their house from the moment pulling up to their driveway which is unusual for her as she can be a little timid sometimes. They sent plenty of photos and our dog seemed right at home. Would recommend them to anyone. Thank you!”

“Tanya took such good care of Tig! Tig was happy and clearly loved her stay. Tanya took lots of pictures and I knew Tig was in great hands. Would definitely book with Tanya again!”

“Brianne was wonderful taking care of my puppy for three nights. She gave updates everyday and was able to spend one on one time with her everyday. It was Harleys first time away from me and she had a great experience! I don’t hesitate to recommend Brianne for anyone’s fur babies ❤️”

About: I have had a dog in my life since I was 6 years old, that is 57 years of knowing the joy of dogs. I've raised them from puppies, rescued them from the street, cared for them in their old age and through sickness. I have held them all as they have left this world, and gazed into their eyes as they took their last breath so they knew I was there and to not be afraid. I have always considered them my family and treated them as such. I am the person that sits with the dog at house parties. I know that dogs feel safe in my presence as they have the gift of sensing who is a kind human being. I am excited about walking and running with the young dogs, and excited to sit and cuddle with the old. They are welcome in my home, on my couch, on the bed. I work from home, part time, and will always be available for your dog throughout the day and night! They will be welcome to sit beside me in my office on a dog bed, or lounge around anywhere else in my home. My home is very dog friendly. I have two large decks that overlook the forest where they can comfortably lounge in the sun. The can rest in front of my warm gas fireplace on a dog bed in the colder months. I have trails and park right behind my house that I would love to take your dog for walks along. They are welcome to sit on my couches, or hop up on my bed.

Katrina was amazing! She responded very quickly to our booking request and was flexible and accommodating with the drop off and pick up times. She sent us updates and pictures which I really appreciated, and Jasper seemed like he had a great time hanging out with her family and dogs. I felt so relaxed on my trip knowing that my pup was in good hands☺️ Would definitely recommend Katrina for dog sitting and will be booking with her again in the future!🐾

I cannot recommend Lillian highly enough! She provided outstanding care for my Pomeranian Taro during a 2-night stay, and it's clear she truly loves what she does. From the moment we met, Lillian was professional, attentive, and genuinely excited to meet Taro. She asked all the right questions about his routine, preferences, and quirks, which immediately put me at ease. Throughout the stay, I received regular updates with adorable photos and videos that showed Taro was not just being cared for, but absolutely loved and pampered. What impressed me most was how Lillian maintained Taro's routine perfectly while also giving him plenty of attention and playtime. Taro can be a bit anxious with new people and dogs but he was clearly comfortable and happy - I could see it in every photo! When I picked him up, Taro was relaxed, well-groomed, and obviously had been spoiled with love. Lillian provided a detailed summary of his stay, including his eating, sleeping, and play habits. I returned home with complete peace of mind knowing Taro had been in such caring, responsible hands. If you're looking for someone who will treat your fur baby like their own, look no further. Taro gives Lillian all four paws up! 🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
