“Katrina was so wonderful with our puppy Oggie we got lots of photos and updates through the day and came back to a very happy puppy. I would definitely recommend Katrina and would happily book them again!”

“I cannot recommend Joe and Tina enough! Pastor (my dog) stayed with them for 10 days while I was on vacation, and they treated him like family. Their home is beautiful, and their large, fully fenced yard is a dream for any dog. They sent frequent updates and lots of photos, took him on walks, and really paid attention to all his needs. Pastor looked so happy and comfortable the whole time. Joe and Tina are incredibly kind, responsible, and attentive, and they made my trip completely stress-free. I’d leave my dog with them again anytime!”

“It was the first time that Cola stayed with Gina and her family, and we will definitely make use of her service again. We were kept up to date with how Cola was doing and received daily photos. Cola made herself very comfortable and she received the love and care which she normally does at home. Thank you Gina (and family) for taking such good care of her, and for making our time away more relaxed.”
“Once again Carol G as done a fantastic job looking after Gus our 4lb Yorki. this is Carol the second time for 2 weeks at each time. Gus had a great time at Carols house. Carol keeps you updated on how Gus pretty much daily it helps us to settle into our trip with having no worries on how Gus is doing. Her 2 dashounds and Gus have lots of fun together. Carol will always be our first call when we book another holiday. Book Carol and you we be as relax as we were. Thank Carol for a perfect holiday. Brent Judy and Gus.”

“Anothai and Mersad are AMAZING!!! I highly, highly recommend them. My two little dogs were so well cared for, I had absolutely nothing to worry about. They are very kind, loving people who adore dogs. They keep you updated all the time with pictures and videos. Your dogs will be very happy staying with them. I will definitely be bringing mine to them every time I need to go away.”

“Gail was excellent. Met with her beforehand to get an idea of the layout to see if my senior boy-Harley would fit in at her home. Harley loved his companionship with her two little dogs. I felt very comfortable leaving him there. It’s good knowing he has a place to go to where he’s comfortable. Gail sent me pictures and was very communicative on how he was doing while he was in her care. I highly recommend Gail.”

“Morgan took great care of Bear while we were out of town. Provided us with updates and photos, and was accommodating when we needed to change our pick up time. Thanks!”

About: Our daughter would like to take the lead. She is new to pet sitting but has a way with all animals. Mom has dog and cat sitting experience from before kids and also had a dog growing up. We are mostly available for weekend jobs. With notice we can usually work a Monday or Friday in. We are open to weekday stays but we work out of the house so it’s a long day for the animals in the house. We have a fenced yard and are open to crate trained or free range animals. Your animals will become part of our family during their stay.
“Susanna & Claude were amazing hosts. Brownie seemed super happy and relaxed. Communication and feedback was great and organizing drop-off and pickup was a breeze. Thanks for taking care of our furry family member over this period. You will definitely be our first port of call next time Brownie needs a temporary stay!”

“Chalan and her family took wonderful care of our dog, Gus! Communication was great and we could tell Gus was a happy dog when we picked him up. They will be our go-to sitter when we’re in Kelowna.”

“Suzanne took very good care of our senior dog, Pepper. She kept us updated with how he was doing over the weekend. She is a very nice person and I would recommend her to anyone who needs someone to take good care of their dog!”

I can’t say enough positive feedback with our experience with Katrina and her family! She sent us lots of pics and videos during his stay which was great. My Great Dane/ English Mastiff had amazing stay! He was well taken care of and given the attention he loves. He has some separation anxiety but with the kindness Katrina gave him he was right at ease. Will 💯 use Katrina again 😊

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
