“Jutharat and her husband were absolutely wonderful with our dog! She got to go on a hike, explore and play in their beautiful backyard, and spend time with their sweet dog Pippi, who was such a great companion. It was so nice knowing she had a friendly buddy to hang out with. We also really appreciated the updates and photos. It gave us so much peace of mind. Our pup came home happy. Thank you so much!”

“Morgan took great care of Bear while we were out of town. Provided us with updates and photos, and was accommodating when we needed to change our pick up time. Thanks!”

“Anothai and Mersad are AMAZING!!! I highly, highly recommend them. My two little dogs were so well cared for, I had absolutely nothing to worry about. They are very kind, loving people who adore dogs. They keep you updated all the time with pictures and videos. Your dogs will be very happy staying with them. I will definitely be bringing mine to them every time I need to go away.”

“Jeanine is wonderful! It was my first time using Rover and had such a great experience. She communicated all throughout my girls stay and sent lots of update pictures. One of my dogs allergies flared up and Jeanine was super attentive. I highly recommend using Jeanine and look forward to my girls going back to her and Teagan.”

“Susanna & Claude were amazing hosts. Brownie seemed super happy and relaxed. Communication and feedback was great and organizing drop-off and pickup was a breeze. Thanks for taking care of our furry family member over this period. You will definitely be our first port of call next time Brownie needs a temporary stay!”

“Bryden & Colleen are wonderful. Charlie loves them and I had a family emergency and they were so flexible with providing care for Charlie even with my changing schedule. Very kind people and I know my dog was cared for well. Thank you!”

“I cannot recommend Joe and Tina enough! Pastor (my dog) stayed with them for 10 days while I was on vacation, and they treated him like family. Their home is beautiful, and their large, fully fenced yard is a dream for any dog. They sent frequent updates and lots of photos, took him on walks, and really paid attention to all his needs. Pastor looked so happy and comfortable the whole time. Joe and Tina are incredibly kind, responsible, and attentive, and they made my trip completely stress-free. I’d leave my dog with them again anytime!”

“Suzanne took very good care of our senior dog, Pepper. She kept us updated with how he was doing over the weekend. She is a very nice person and I would recommend her to anyone who needs someone to take good care of their dog!”

“Cielo was an amazing sitter for our dog, Emma! From the start, she treated Emma like her own — warm, loving, and attentive. While we were away, Cielo sent frequent updates, notes, and lots of photos, which made us feel completely comfortable and at ease during our travels. It was clear Emma was happy, safe, and well cared for every day. Cielo went above and beyond to make sure Emma was comfortable and loved. We felt 100% confident leaving our pup in her care and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an attentive, caring sitter! 🐶❤️”

“I think my dog had a better weekend away than I did. Amy sent updates on how he was adapting and took such wonderful care of him. Will definitely be rebooking in the future.”

“Gabrielle is sooo great and provides great warmth - in both her personality and home - for watching Rupert. Our boy had so much fun also with his good friend Juniper. On this first beautiful dat of Spring in the Okanagan, it looked like Rupert also enjoyed soaking up the sun on the balcony. Thank you so much, Gabrielle, for looking after Rupert and the great photos. Much appreciated!!”

Our dog has medications that need to be given regularly, and Julia took care of it with zero issues. Our small dog also got along great with her big dog Blu, which was awesome to see. our dog adores Carla, which makes the rare times we leave her that much easier to navigate. Carla takes wonderful care of our 85lb meatball, with plenty of exercise and adventures and photos shared! we can see how relaxed mabel is with her and we especially appreciate that she shares her couch for cuddles :)

Skye and Nate were great and Pica had such a fun time! They were very communicative from the start and we're able to accommodate a last minute booking. They took Pica for lots of walks and even some runs. They sent me daily pictures which is always appreciated. I would definitely have them watch Pica again :)

Jeanine was absolutely incredible with our 2 babies when we went on vacation. From our first visit I knew they would be in great hands. Jeanine LOVES dogs and I knew our sucky, cuddly dogs would get all the attention and love they needed. Our eldest dog requires insulin injected every 12 hours and Jeanine was happy to do so. She communicated and sent pictures throughout our trip and we knew our babies were well taken care of. We picked them up happy and healthy! Thank you Jeanine for opening your home to Cali and cooper! Highly recommend her for any medium- small sized dog in kelowna!

This was our third time leaving Sassy with Pippa, and once again she provided exceptional care. Pippa is a wonderful dog sitter who genuinely loves and understands dogs. She keeps us updated, and we always know that Sassy is safe, happy, and well cared for. When Sassy is with Pippa, we can truly relax and enjoy our vacation with complete peace of mind. We are so grateful to have found someone we trust so much with our dog. We highly recommend Pippa to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and professional pet sitter.Thank you, Pippa!

Anna took amazing care of Frijolito while we were away. She constantly sent us photos and fun videos of him, and in every single one he looked happy, relaxed, and completely at ease. It was clear she cared for him as if he were her own. That gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was not only being well cared for, but also truly enjoying his time with her. We are incredibly grateful for her attention, kindness, and dedication. I highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving to care for their pet. We would absolutely choose her again without hesitation! Thanks Anna! 🫶

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace.
