About: Hello! I work from home so in an ideal situation to care for your fur baby! I have many years of experience caring for pets in our neighbourhood, pets of friends, and of course many pets growing up including cats, dogs, gerbils, hamsters, fish, and rabbits. In my home, we are a family of 4 with two daughters, twins age 12 years who love animals. We also have two cats of our own that are apart of our loving home. I will care for your fur baby like our own! As a mother who works from home I can be around for your pets needs for pretty much all day! I love to get outdoors every day, so your pet will have lots of time outside (if that's what is required). I will ensure your pets are safe and sound at all hours of the day in addition to feeling loved and cared for. Let me know any special care required and what your pet's likes and wants, and I will make sure they are taken care of!

About: We have owned many dogs and are very experienced and caring dog owners. We love dogs and will take very good care of your fur baby while they are under our care in our home. We will play with them both inside and outside and take them for several walks while they are in our care. I am retired and my husband works from home so we are able to watch your dog for extended periods of time. We will take them out often for a stretch, to exercise and to do their business. We have large front and back yards, as well as many walking trails just outside our door with plenty of room for your dog to run and get their exercise. We don’t currently have our own pet, but love dogs and will take very good care of your pet while we dog-sit. We live in a small gated community at the end of a cul-de-sac with very little traffic. We often watch and board our friends’ Labradors while their owners travel.

I cannot express how amazing Ashley was with my puppy Chester. He was so calm and looked content as can be when I came home. Ashely followed the guidelines for Chester and was so respectful of our home. She was clear with communication and punctually with her recording/log of his car. I will for sure be asking Ashley to help with Chester again. ??

About: Hi! I’m excited to offer attentive, loving care for your pets. Animal care has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember—I’ve been caring for dogs and puppies since I was 10 years old, raising my own pups, and regularly stepping in to look after pets for friends and family. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and sizes. Through training my own dog as a young adult and helping foster rescue dogs in my home, I’ve learned how to handle diverse personalities with patience, clear communication, and positive reinforcement. Whether your dog needs an active, energizing walk around the neighborhood, structured care, or just a calm, cozy stay while you’re away, you can trust that they will be safe, happy, and treated like family. Specialized Experience: Experienced in managing high-energy breeds, anxious temperaments, basic obedience training, multi-dog dynamics, and foster care. My flexible schedule as a part-time student and part-time employee allows me to give your pet consistent care, attention, and companionship throughout the day. Because I have substantial breaks between my classes and dedicated afternoon blocks off, I can easily fit in mid-day check-ins, walks, and feeding schedules. Monday & Wednesday: Available for morning, mid-day, and late afternoon check-ins during my class breaks, as well as full evening availability. Tuesday: Open and available all afternoon and evening. Thursday: Free during the morning and afternoon for check-ins and walks before my evening work shift. Friday: Available for morning and mid-day check-ins before my evening work shift. Saturday: Available for evening walks, dinner drop-ins, and overnight stays following my daytime work shift. Sunday: Completely free all day and evening for full-day care, long walks, and flexible scheduling. Note: I’m always happy to share my exact class times during our meet-and-greet to lock in the precise time slots that best fit your dog’s routine! If you are looking for overnight boarding or daycare in West Kelowna, your pup will love staying at my home! Fully Fenced, Spacious Yard: I have a large, securely fenced backyard with plenty of room for your dog to safely run, play, fetch, and stretch their legs. Safe & Secure: Peace of mind is my top priority. The perimeter is fully enclosed so your dog can enjoy outdoor playtime safely and securely. Comforts of Home: Indoors, your dog will be treated like family—with cozy places to rest, plenty of personal attention, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Note that my home is pet free as well

About: I have always loved dogs and any chance I could get to spend time with them I took. I helped my family walk their dogs whenever I could. Sometimes I would walk my neighbours samoyed. I rented a place for 2 years and would look after my landlady's dogs while she was on vacation, walking them, feeding them, playing with them, and letting them out regularly for bathroom breaks. I also volunteered at my local SPCA while in school. I currently work part time so I will have plenty of time to go make sure your pups are let out for bathroom breaks and get the attention they deserve! I care for pets in their home by making sure I am familiar with the routine they are used to. I respect my clients home and make sure I am clear in expectations. I make sure that their pets are cared for in a way that exceeds expectations. I understand the stress of travelling and having to leave your pet behind, and I want to make sure that my clients do not have to worry one bit and can focus on their vacation!

About: Dogs have been part of my life since I was a baby. If I could have a farm full of dogs, I would have it! Give me dogs over people any day. But I promise to still be awesome with you to make sure you are comfortable with me caring for your pup. I’m experienced with dogs who are still figuring out the leash world, senior dogs, jumpy dogs, pretty much all dogs! If your pup sleeps on the bed with you, they can sleep on the bed with me. Dogs are allowed couch cuddles in our household, but if that’s a no-no in your home, we will enforce that rule here too. Medications needed? I got you. I work from home and choose my hours so I have total flexibility to help care for your beloved pet while you’re away! Weekends are totally free for endless animal care. Morning or evening drop ins to feed and cuddle your cats. Or feed your fish, birds, Guinea pigs, bunnies, etc. I can clean cages and litter boxes so your pet has a clean space always. I can even clean your fish tank if needed! The way I care for your pets is to ask you how you want them cared for and I will do exactly that (and maybe a bit more because I can’t help myself sometimes). I want your pets to not be stressed because you’re gone. I want them to feel comfortable and happy. Your pets are a part of your family and because of that, they hold the utmost importance to me when they are in my care.

About: Hello, my name is Nicole. My dad is an RCMP dog handler, so I have had dogs around my whole life. Specifically, I have grown up and cared for our German Shepards, lab, golden retriever, and Yorkie cross. I am a full-time teacher, so I have a lot of flexibility and time to care for dogs in the summer months. I have extensive experience and am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and attitudes. I understand all dogs have unique needs: feeding schedules, exercise needs, socialization needs, potty breaks ect. For this reason, I only care for a single family at a time to ensure the best care for your pup. I love to take dogs out for walks or runs whenever they need and however long they need. Being surrounded around dogs my whole life, I understand that what an important part of the family our dogs are, and would provide the best care possible. I am very patient, responsible, and punctual. I can't wait to meet your pup! I have a very flexible schedule during the summer months because I work as a teacher. I have all day everyday to give your pup the attention they need:) I live in an apartment, but live very close to a large fenced activity field. I would be more then happy to bring your dog out whenever they need. Crates are no problem as well.

About: I have two 8 y/o kitties named Nacho & Largo and a one y/o Cavapoo puppy named Enzo. I’ve had Nacho and Largo since they were kittens, and Enzo joined us last year. Beyond my own three, I’ve fostered several kittens and older cats over the past few years, so I’m used to adapting to different temperaments and needs. My husband & I take Enzo to the dog park most days, which means I’m reliable with walks and used to managing pets who have regular routines. Honestly, I’m doing this because I love having animal companions around! I’m looking for pets to walk with or just hang out and play. If that means a new friend for my crew or a regular buddy for adventures, I’m in. Can’t wait to meet your lovely one (or two, or three, or more lol)! I finish work around 3:30 PM, and are around most weekends. If you wish to have a dropping visit in the morning or in the middle of the day, that can be arranged as well. For drop-in visits at your home, I respect your cat’s space & routine. I don’t rearrange things or stay longer than needed unless your cat is clearly enjoying the interaction. I come in quietly, let them approach me on their terms, and focus on what you’ve told me they like (playtime, treats, just company). I always check that doors and windows are secure before I leave. I’ll text you updates if you want them, especially if I notice anything off. A cat not eating, acting unusually quiet, or anything that seems worth mentioning. I pay attention. With my own pets (8-year-olds, 1-year-old, and fosters), I’ve learned that consistency matters. Same person, same time, same approach. That builds trust with animals. I keep everything clean. Wash my hands between visits, don’t track mess in, and follow your specific instructions about what’s off-limits, handling, medication, etc. Your home is your cat’s territory. I treat it that way.

About: I’m currently experiencing puppy fever, but I’m not entirely sure if I should commit fully to a pooch at this point as I am in a apartment. But for short visits and long walks would be amazing at this time. Looking forward to getting to meet your little one! I grew up with a beautiful golden retriever who loved the outdoors and swimming. I miss her sooo much. I’m thinking about getting a smaller dog! So here I am, willing to care for your precious pup. Looking for companions to keep me busy and someone to take on long walks. I work from 3pm-11pm Tuesday-Saturday. I also have Sunday/Monday completely free :) I would prefer dogs to come stay with me, but willing to come to yours if your dog prefers to stay at home. I make sure nothing is left out for the dogs to get into. I follow personalized instructions to respect the owners training. We go for walks that are suited to each dog.

About: Graduated veterinary assistant with previous clinic experience caring for animals of all ages. I love looking after all kinds of animals and I’m always excited to learn about new pets so I can provide compassionate and reliable care! Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine, as I’m currently available during both weekdays and weekends. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time, attention, and quality care to your pets while prioritizing their needs and routines. While I’m unable to care for other pets in my own home due to having high anxiety dogs, I’m happy to provide care in yours. Whether you’re away on a trip or at work, I can stop by for walks, feeding, playtime, bathroom breaks and medication administration if needed.

After meeting a few dog walkers during my summer stays in Kelowna, I decided to give Fenrir a try. I'm glad I did. Fenrir has been one of the best dog walkers I've ever had. With a very high level of knowledge, passion and care for dogs, Fen truly stands out and my dog loves Fen. Reliability and professionalism are also clear strengths, with consistent punctuality and commitment to every scheduled walk. Most importantly, I feel peace of mind knowing my dog is in capable, responsible hands.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Rover makes it easy to find sitters who are available during your working hours. To find sitters who fit your schedule, select which days of the week and the time slots you'd like a sitter to visit. The search results will populate sitters whose calendars match your needs. You can also search for sitters by location, whether that’s a sitter near your office for day care drop-off or a sitter close to your home. Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Kelowna stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kelowna choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
