About: I’m currently experiencing puppy fever, but I’m not entirely sure if I should commit fully to a pooch at this point as I am in a apartment. But for short visits and long walks would be amazing at this time. Looking forward to getting to meet your little one! I grew up with a beautiful golden retriever who loved the outdoors and swimming. I miss her sooo much. I’m thinking about getting a smaller dog! So here I am, willing to care for your precious pup. Looking for companions to keep me busy and someone to take on long walks. I work from 3pm-11pm Tuesday-Saturday. I also have Sunday/Monday completely free :) I would prefer dogs to come stay with me, but willing to come to yours if your dog prefers to stay at home. I make sure nothing is left out for the dogs to get into. I follow personalized instructions to respect the owners training. We go for walks that are suited to each dog.

About: I’ve had and lived with dogs my entire life; I actively enjoy and love walking and hanging out with dogs of all types and sizes. As a full time worker and a student, having some down time with your pets is my honour! Typically I am away for work most of the day, however am thrilled to take care of them both before, after and in the evenings. Gives me a mental break, and you relief that your pets are in good hands. I grew up walking all sorts big dogs, small dogs, fluffy or tough dogs. I am not shy of a leash or commanding if need be.
About: I have always had a cat in my life and I have also volunteered over 200 hours caring for cats at the SPCA. I experienced a wide variety of cats, including many shy and anxious ones. While I have the most experience with cats, I would love to take your well-behaved dog for a walk or run. I am currently a student taking online courses, so I have complete flexibility for drop-in visits and walks throughout the week. I plan my schoolwork around visits so I can meet your pet’s needs and stay consistent with their routine. I’m a calm and patient person, and I always let your cat or dog approach me on their own terms. I never force interaction—I give them the space they need to feel safe and comfortable around me.
“Tiernan took very good care of our 19 1/2 yr old cat Marley. It wasn’t an easy job that just involved filling up a cat dish and scooping the litter box. She was mixing wet food, setting up cat watching bird videos and making a warm comfy beds with a hot water bottle. At a very Sr age, Marley needs a lot of encouragement to eat, love and attention and Tiernan did a fantastic job! She also had to come early morning and later in the evening and she was here faithfully. She went above and beyond to make sure our fur baby was full, happy and content. We received thorough updates on how he was doing and pictures with every visit she made. We couldn’t be happier with the job she did for us. Plus she is a complete sweetheart! We will most definitely ask Tiernan to come back. Thanks so much Tiernan!”

About: I have a large mix breed rescue pup who we have developed lots of skills and knowledge from through his care and training. He is now 1.5 years old and I would love to apply these skills to caring for your pets whilst you’re away! I know how important and sometimes difficult it is to find the right person to look after your dog or cat in your absence. There is also the potential for finding a dog friend for our own pup so that we could have a mutual pet sitting relationship ☺️ Growing up, we had a family cat who was a member of the family and lived until 20 years old. As an adult, I have looked after and cared for many of my housemates pets including their cats and several dogs. I love animals and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to spend time with your beloved pets while you’re away. I work full-time but I would be able to check on and care for your pets before 8am and after 4pm. I am also available for the whole weekend and summer break July and August. Currently, I would like to pet sit in your house whilst our puppy is still in training. We may eventually be able to board in our home also.
“Michaela was amazing with my little kitties! Made sure to give them extra scratches and treats even with one of my kitties being scared of new people. Would 100% have her take care of them again the next time I’m away”

“Kristi took such great care of our cat (including giving her medications and checking for signs of illness ) while we were away ! We didn’t have reception and felt so reassured she was on the job. Our cat didn’t event give us the usual cold shoulder when we got home.”

“We booked Tyra to pop in once a day to check on our cats. She was reliable, stopping in each day around the same time. She also sent us pictures of her time with our one cat who loves attention, which assured us her attendance and gave us the opportunity to see our sweet fur babies who we were missing. Also, Tyra was sweet and personable when we met her. We hope to book her again :)”

About: We have owned many dogs and are very experienced and caring dog owners. We love dogs and will take very good care of your fur baby while they are under our care in our home. There are lots of trails to walk your dog just steps outside our door. I am retired and my husband works from home so we are able to watch your dog most days and nights and for extended periods of time. We have large front and back yards, as well as many walking trails just outside our door with plenty of room for your dog to run and get their exercise. We don’t currently have our own pet, but love dogs and will take very good care of your pet while we dog-sit. We live in a small gated community at the end of a cul-de-sac with very little traffic. We often watch and board our friends’ Labrador while his owners travel.
About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life and have experience with both cats and dogs of all ages. I currently have two senior cats that I’ve had since I was young, which has given me extensive experience with daily care, monitoring health changes, administering medications when needed, and understanding the unique needs of older pets. Growing up, my family had two German Shepherds and a Labrador Retriever. Through the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with feeding routines, exercise, and providing attentive companionship. I also volunteered multiple times at a dog shelter in Mexico, where I helped care for dogs by feeding them, spending time socializing and comforting them, and assisting staff with basic care tasks. I additionally helped with the intake of new puppies, including assisting during vaccination appointments. One of my most rewarding experiences was rescuing and fostering a puppy I brought back from Mexico that was at risk of being surrendered to a shelter. I cared for her, helped with her socialization and daily needs, and ultimately found her a loving forever home after she spent a month with me. I genuinely love animals and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. From hiking to just hanging out, I’d love to hang out with your fur babies! Pet care is already a part of my daily life. I work part-time and am completing my Bachelor's degree online, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide attentive care, walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. Since I spend much of my time at home, I can easily incorporate pet care into my routine and ensure pets get the attention they need. I always follow the pet's normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. In both my home and a client's home, I provide fresh water, feeding, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. I also make sure pets have a clean, safe environment and closely monitor their behavior and well-being. I understand that every pet has different needs, and I'm happy to adapt my care to their personality, age, and routine.

About: I have looked after family and friends dogs. One particular friend has a dog who is very physically impaired and very nippy with people. Many neighbours complimented me on how I was managing this dog as a few of them had to attend to him from time to time and had not had a great experience. I looked after this dog in his home for 12 days and had no problems. They have invited me back to take care of him anytime they go away. My daughter just got a new dog and she is full of energy and I love looking after her. Most dogs are attracted to me. I have been told many times that this dog never goes to strangers and they’ll come to me.. I am retired so with a few days notice I can alter my schedule to give you piece of mind and come let your dog out and take it for a walk. I am physically fit and love walking. I can take care of your dog in your backyard, house or go for a walk. I love to give them lots of cuddles and scratchings, And treats only if approved by owner. I will never give any food/treats to a dog unless I consult with the owner.
About: We live out in the country with ample room to run and play. Our house has two separate homes so our family cat can be fully separated from other animals. Every pet we care for becomes a temporary part of our family and is treated as such! The rules in our home are whatever rules the pet is already used to in their own home and as instructed by each and every owner. This applies to being allowed on the bed/couch or not, walking on or off leash, treats, or what have you! We homeschool during the week and are typically out in the late afternoon/early evenings for activities. Pets are welcome to come with us for car rides if appropriate, or stay at home if owners prefer. We will always do our best to care for others' pets exactly as the owners wish us to do so in regards to routines, needs, habits, etc. We will ensure your pet is comfortable, happy, loved, and well taken care of. We prefer boarding at our home, but will occasionally offer house-sitting as well.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Kelowna
Shana is honestly the best, takes the time to make sure the animals are cared for and spends time with them every time she stops by. I feel so at peace being gone knowing my animals are in such good hands. I’ll never book anyone else unless I absolutely have to!! Absolutely the best and just a genuine and kind hearted human.

After meeting a few dog walkers during my summer stays in Kelowna, I decided to give Fenrir a try. I'm glad I did. Fenrir has been one of the best dog walkers I've ever had. With a very high level of knowledge, passion and care for dogs, Fen truly stands out and my dog loves Fen. Reliability and professionalism are also clear strengths, with consistent punctuality and commitment to every scheduled walk. Most importantly, I feel peace of mind knowing my dog is in capable, responsible hands.

I booked a pup check-in visit with Katherine with short notice for my two mini Labradoodles and the entire process was just terrific. Her communication was great, she was on time and sent lovely pics of my pups. They were calm when I returned home and I wouldn’t hesitate to have Katherine here again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
