I grew up in a home with cats and canaries—our cats lived long, healthy lives well into their 20s—instilling in me a lifelong love and respect for animals. While I currently live in a rental where I’m unable to have pets of my own, I channel that care and affection into every pet I look after. Although I don’t have formal training or certification in animal care, I’m highly observant, responsible, and committed to following all your instructions to the letter—whether that’s feeding routines, medication schedules, or specific walking routes. I walk several kilometers daily and enjoy integrating active dog walks into my routine. Since I am unable to host pets in my current residence, all of my pet-sitting and dog-walking services are provided in the comfort of the pet’s own home or in community spaces. I believe this approach helps reduce stress and allows pets to stay in a familiar, safe environment while their owners are away. My care is always tailored to your pet’s specific routine and needs. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, litter box or potty routines, medication administration (if required), and any special care needs. I make sure to spend quality time with your pet—whether that means walks, playtime, brushing, or simply providing companionship and a calm presence. I’m respectful of your home, clean up after myself and your pet, and am always happy to provide updates, photos, or messages for your peace of mind.

Kate was absolutely wonderful with our spunky chocolate lab Becky while we were away! We felt completely comfortable knowing Becky and our home were in such good hands. Kate was reliable, communicative, and clearly took great care of Becky as we came home to a happy, relaxed dog and a spotless house. It was a relief to be able to enjoy our trip without worrying about anything at home. We would absolutely have Kate stay with Becky again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter.

My wife and I were very lucky to find Kate! We have a large dog and a cat and we were looking for someone who is kind, caring and even keeled as our dog is a pretty sensitive guy. Kate is absolutely all of those things! We were just away for four days and Kate kept us updated with pictures every day and was easy to get ahold of if we needed to. She left the house spotless (just how we left it) and we definitely have intention of utilizing her services in the future. My wife and I would absolutely recommend Kate as she will take amazing care of your fur babies!

Schedule
I walk approximately 7km early every morning (your dog would of course be very welcome to join me if they're an early riser!) and typically visit the gym for a couple of hours afterward. I have a few recurring afternoon appointments two to three times per week and attend evening gym classes twice weekly. Outside of these commitments, my schedule is highly flexible, allowing me to accommodate a wide range of pet-sitting and dog-walking needs — including morning, midday, and evening. I'm happy to work with you to create a care schedule that suits both you and your pet’s routine.

- Before caring for any pet, it’s important for me to understand their individual needs, routines, and temperament. Key information I appreciate knowing includes: Daily routine – feeding schedule, walk times, bathroom habits, and preferred activities Health needs – any medications, allergies, or ongoing medical conditions Behavioural traits – how they react to strangers, other animals, loud noises, or being alone Comfort preferences – favourite toys, hiding spots, or calming techniques that work well House rules – areas they are/aren’t allowed in, leash preferences, crate use, etc. This information helps me provide safe, consistent, and stress-free care that aligns with your pet’s routine and your expectations.
