“We would 100% ask Elisabeth to watch our two cats again. Both girls took to her quickly (which never happens!), and Elisabeth sent photos and updates during our trip. She made the process easy, is a strong communicator, and put us at ease. Highly recommend! :)”

About: I’ve had and lived with dogs my entire life; I actively enjoy and love walking and hanging out with dogs of all types and sizes. As a full time worker and a student, having some down time with your pets is my honour! Typically I am away for work most of the day, however am thrilled to take care of them both before, after and in the evenings. Gives me a mental break, and you relief that your pets are in good hands. I grew up walking all sorts big dogs, small dogs, fluffy or tough dogs. I am not shy of a leash or commanding if need be.
About: Hello! I have lived with dogs & cats numerous times over the years and miss being around them! I grew up with many small animals well loved including a tarantula, gold fish, frogs, budgies, and a cockatiel. I have owned two guinea pigs as an adult and absolutely spoiled them with a massive cage and toys, to make up for the one I had as a kid I didn't know how to take care of and have extensive knowledge with them. I also have experience watching bearded dragons, crested geckos, and other small animals. I love looking up information on different animals and breeds as I get to know them and further my knowledge. Thank you for considering me! I work part-time and attend school. Caring for animals is a wonderful way to relax and enjoy life and the personalities that all different animals offer. I am very cautious with plants, things left on the floor, food sensitives and any instructions and needs that the animal has to offer, and you request to feel reassured leaving your pet in my hands.

“Jakob did an amazing job with Grumbles. He was communicative, consistent, took great care of my cat, and took some great photos! Grumbles was clearly smitten! I would definitely rehire Jakob again, and I'm sure my cat would love it, too.”

“I’ve had Yolanda do two drop-in visits in my home for my two pups (16 month old labradoodles) and she did a great job. She took them for a little stretch break and sent pics during the visit, etc. Both pups were calm when I got home and she had no problem with their little routine. Glad I called her and will have her back to hang out with my pups again!”

About: I've been pet sitting for 21 years and have spent my life caring for animals of all kinds. Over the years, I've worked as a pet sitter, dog walker, kennel assistant, veterinary assistant, and now working toward a profession of dog training, giving me experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, personalities, and energy levels. What sets me apart is that I don't simply exercise dogs - I help them build better habits. Every walk is a training opportunity, with a focus on calm behaviour, loose leash walking, engagement, impulse control, and good manners, all tailored to your dog's individual needs. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, seniors, reactive or anxious dogs, high-energy breeds, and pets requiring medication or special care. Whether your dog needs an adventure, extra patience, or a consistent routine while you're away, I'll care for them as if they were my own while providing plenty of updates and photos for your peace of mind. I'm currently building my dog training business full-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate my attention to every pet in my care. I'm available for weekday walks, drop-in visits, daycare, boarding, and overnight care. Because I intentionally limit the number of pets I care for at one time, every dog receives plenty of individual attention, exercise, and enrichment. My goal is quality care - not rushing from appointment to appointment. Your pet's safety and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I take the time to understand each dog's personality, routines, and comfort level before every booking. I use secure equipment, practice safe handling, and never introduce unfamiliar dogs unless requested by the owner. For boarding, dogs become part of my daily routine with structured walks, rest periods, enrichment activities, and lots of one-on-one attention. I maintain a calm environment that helps dogs feel relaxed and secure while you're away. You'll also receive regular photo updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.
About: I've grown up with pets and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and energy levels. Whether your pup loves lounging on the couch or going on an adventurous hike, I'm happy to match their vibe. I’m also comfortable with senior care and basic puppy training, so your pet will be in good hands, no matter their age or needs. Since I work from home most days, I have plenty of time to care for your pet. I can easily fit in walks, playtime, or cozy check-ins throughout the day to keep your furry friend happy and comfortable. Being home means I’m always nearby, ready to give your pet the attention they need whenever they need it. When caring for pets in my home, I create a safe, calm environment where they can feel relaxed and loved. I stick to their usual routines as much as possible, including feeding, playtime, and rest. When I care for pets in their own homes, I respect their space and follow any instructions carefully to keep them comfortable and stress-free. Whether at my place or theirs, my goal is to provide consistent, attentive care tailored to each pet’s needs.
“Thank you Paige! I am beyond grateful for you and your clear devotion to genuine care for your clients; pets and people. I was in a pickle and Paige knocked it out of the park, saving the day and the week while handling some inconveniences with grace. 6/5 stars”

“Daria was great for our 10 day trip. She took daily pictures and checked in everyday with us. We felt comfortable that our babies were in the right hands for the whole time away. We will happily use her services again in the future. Thanks Daria!”

“Angela was so professional and supportive while assisting me with delivering my cat her meds. I am a long time cat owner, but the new to me cat is the first I have had who absolutely needs to be put in a "purrito" or she will run away and hide and spit up all of the medicine. Angela was so gentle with our cat and her kind approach helped us learn strategies to give kitty medications in the future. Sometimes you just need a professional. We appreciated Angela's help so incredibly much.”

“I cannot express how amazing Ashley was with my puppy Chester. He was so calm and looked content as can be when I came home. Ashely followed the guidelines for Chester and was so respectful of our home. She was clear with communication and punctually with her recording/log of his car. I will for sure be asking Ashley to help with Chester again. ??”
“Hope was excellent with my puppy. She is 20 weeks old and is teething. She is quite mouthy right now and Hope was calm and patient with her. I will be asking Hope to return on those days when I have to be out of the house for extended periods.”

“I booked a pup check-in visit with Katherine with short notice for my two mini Labradoodles and the entire process was just terrific. Her communication was great, she was on time and sent lovely pics of my pups. They were calm when I returned home and I wouldn’t hesitate to have Katherine here again!”

“Laura was able to come and help us oit last minute. She was responsive, on time and Shep had a lovely time with her. Would highly recommend and will book again in the future.”

About: I am a university student at UBCO living at home with my family and 2 dogs. This gives me the unique flexibility to stay overnight and care for pets on short notice. I have had dogs my whole life, and currently have a senior rescue, and a puppy at home. This gives me the experience I need to care for all kinds of dogs, well trained, not yet trained, puppies, seniors, rescues, purebreds etc. I have been dog and cat sitting for family friends several times a year for over 3 years since high school. I am a very responsible person, extremely reliable, and communicate well. I love the outdoors and going for walks, as well as lazy days at home. I have a very flexible school and work schedule. I am a student at UBCO and have several 3-4 hour gaps in my day which I can come home and spend time with the pets. I am done my classes around dinner time, and can come straight home for the evening. On the weekends, I am a server at a restaurant in town and generally only work 4-6 hour shifts. This means I am around for the majority of the day. I have been dog walking for many years as I have had dogs my whole life. With clients, I try and keep the pet’s routine as similar as possible to their owner’s. I like to be around as much as possible and keep the pets as comfortable as they can be while their owner is away.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kelowna
Rena was absolutely fantastic. She treated our dog like her own and went above and beyond when taking care of him. Our dog loved her at their first meeting and now he’s keeping an eye out for her! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for services on Rover and we will definitely book her again in the future!

Alison is amazing! Definitely a cat whisperer! One of my cats runs and hides if he sees there is someone at the door he doesn't know. When Alison came to the door for the first time, he actually approached for some pets! I am so impressed by the genuine care she has for my kitties and the time she put in to understanding the routine they have, as well as all my high maintenance things I do for them. Also, great at keeping up communications. And when the unexpected happens while you're away, you can definitely rely on her to handle it! Overall, one of the best cat sitters and home sitters I've ever had!

My partner and I have been experiencing a family emergency that has required us to be away from our home. Paige has done an excellent job taking care of our sweet kitty named Kits. Paige is reliable, always on time, and great at maintaining communication. Paige has gone above and beyond to help us by providing exceptional care for Kits during this time. We appreciate Paige very much.

Jocelynn was absolutely amazing with Fen. Fen can be sometimes skittish around new people, but she was able to connect with her quite easily. She was good with administering pills orally via mouth so if you have a senior animal like me with medical issues they will be in good hands. A++ and will definitely book her again.

Shana is honestly the best, takes the time to make sure the animals are cared for and spends time with them every time she stops by. I feel so at peace being gone knowing my animals are in such good hands. I’ll never book anyone else unless I absolutely have to!! Absolutely the best and just a genuine and kind hearted human.

There are 459 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Kelowna. About 84% of Kelowna sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Kelowna stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kelowna choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
