About: I have always had a cat in my life and I have also volunteered over 200 hours caring for cats at the SPCA. I experienced a wide variety of cats, including many shy and anxious ones. While I have the most experience with cats, I would love to take your well-behaved dog for a walk or run. I am currently a student taking online courses, so I have complete flexibility for drop-in visits and walks throughout the week. I plan my schoolwork around visits so I can meet your pet’s needs and stay consistent with their routine. I’m a calm and patient person, and I always let your cat or dog approach me on their own terms. I never force interaction—I give them the space they need to feel safe and comfortable around me.

About: I have always had pets until this last year (cats and dogs). I now walk my daughters' dogs for them daily early morning, and I really enjoy having that daily connection with my furry friends! Being semi-retired I am available for consistent and reliable care. I also have a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting dogs if you so wish, but I also respect if the owner doesn’t want their dog going too far from home. Just let me know whatever you are comfortable with! My background with animals is extensive. I grew up on a farm and worked on ranches in the Cariboo and Fraser Valley Regions. I have a huge passion for animals and have trained large dogs and horses. I previously worked as a dog and cat groomer. These experiences gave me a strong understanding of animal behavior across many breeds and personalities. I’ve been told before that I am an animal whisperer, and I believe that is because I pay close attention to their behavior and individual needs. Whether your pet is energetic, elderly, anxious, or highly trained, I approach each animal with careful understanding. I do watercolor pet portraits (as shown in the photos) and am happy to take on a commission of your pet if you’d like one! Please Note: After due consideration, I have decided I cannot accept housesits with indoor cameras anymore. It is difficult having no privacy or very little, whether it’s for personal/business calls I’m making or just day to day living. I’m sorry if this doesn’t work for you. Also note that if you have told me there are no cameras in the home, and I discover a hidden camera while I am housesitting, I will immediately end the housesit for breach of trust. Thank you for considering my services! Schedule: Because I am self-employed, I am the perfect sitter for your pet. They will have company all day and get out for their exercise consistently! What Do I Need From You the Pet Owner? It’s important for me to know the rules of your home so that you can feel secure knowing your pet will be cared for in the way they are used to! My favourite home owners are the ones who give me a list of the do's and don’ts so I can provide the best care for their pets and home. I don’t expect a stocked fridge, but it is a nice bonus when homeowners care too! I’m always being asked what I like to have, so here’s my favourites: Juice, eggs, yogurt, nuts, and cheese. I have low blood pressure, so you can’t go wrong with salty things! Although I absolutely adore animals, I do have a restriction when it comes to animals sleeping with me on the bed. I understand that is what many owners do with their pets, and I’m sorry that I can’t accommodate this. If your pet eats pork, please know that for religious reasons I am not able to handle any pork products. Thank you so much for your understanding.

“XENIA B. IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!! My partner and I travelled to Ontario to visit family for the Christmas holiday and left our 3 cats in Xenia’s very caring and capable hands. OUR CATS ADORE HER: Our cats got the chance to meet her before we left when we handed over our apartment key, and they instantly wanted to jump up into her arms! She is very clearly confident and experienced in caring for animals, and is so personable and kind. We felt very good about leaving them in her care, and the cats clearly formed a bond with her while we were away, based on the many pictures and videos she sent us! She constantly spent extra time cuddling and playing with them and gave them treats. She took outstanding care of them, making sure their litter boxes were fresh, and food and water bowls full and making sure they weren’t too lonely!!! SHE GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND: We stocked up on food and litter before leaving, but still managed to run out while we were gone. Xenia kindly offered to run to Bosley’s for us and picked up more food and kitty litter!! She had even checked Walmart the day before for our brand of eco-litter, she has amazing attention to detail and truly goes above and beyond. Additionally, we were concerned about our apartment temperature getting a bit cold during a cold snap, and so Xenia offered to go check on them on a non-scheduled day, and she also checked on our pet snake’s terrarium and heat lamp for us on top of that! Furthermore, she noticed that one of our kittens had thrown up (they do this sometimes we believe when eating too quickly, but has been cleared by a vet) - but she went back the next day as well just to make sure everyone was healthy! OVERALL: I highly recommend Xenia’s services, she truly cares for and treats your animals with the same love and attentiveness as if they were her own. We have never been apart from our cats for more than a night, but felt no anxiety or concerns about leaving them since she sent us detailed updates and many photos and videos. It helped us miss them less too! Her comment cards clearly reflected how well she was getting to know each of our cats’ distinct personalities and it was clear that she was spending lots of time caring for and playing with them on top of just ensuring their litter was clean and food/water replenished, for which we are so so grateful!!! Any time I have messaged Xenia first, she replies super promptly and was always flexible and available to visit our cats, even on days we hadn’t initially scheduled!!! I’m sure our cats will be happy to see us, but I know they will miss Xenia until the next time we go away! We will 100% be requesting Xenia’s services again in the future for the next time we’re out of town, she is truly the best! Xenia, thank you for being so amazing and awesome, our cats love you and we are so grateful for the time and care you dedicated to them this holiday season!!!! About: My senior chihuahua is not much of a walker anymore so looking to meet other dogs that like to go for longer walks or shorter if they want :) I am a travelling pet sitter and live out of my van with my senior chihuahua so am very flexible for sits or walks . My Chico is most comfortable in the van cause he knows it’s our home I’m really easy to get along with and flexible to clients needs for their pets , communication is always key to keep pets happy and safe .

About: We have owned many dogs and are very experienced and caring dog owners. We love dogs and will take very good care of your fur baby while they are under our care in our home. We will play with them both inside and outside and take them for several walks while they are in our care. I am retired and my husband works from home so we are able to watch your dog for extended periods of time. We will take them out often for a stretch, to exercise and to do their business. We have large front and back yards, as well as many walking trails just outside our door with plenty of room for your dog to run and get their exercise. We don’t currently have our own pet, but love dogs and will take very good care of your pet while we dog-sit. We live in a small gated community at the end of a cul-de-sac with very little traffic. We often watch and board our friends’ Labradors while their owners travel.

About: My daughter and I love Dogs, but we arnt allowed anymore. We have been fostering and puppy sitting for 8 years now. Love every minute of it. I work from home and spend very little time at my desk. This leaves me lots of time for walks, puppy parks, beach and cuddles. We do not have a fenced yard but a gated patio area. We also love trips to the park or a walk around the neighbourhood.

Thursday to Sunday are easy - I’m available! Mon-Wed available evenings - daytime availability can vary. If interested in my services please enquire! If I’m unavailable I can help you find someone who is! I have a large yard complete with ice rink in the winter. My 8yr old Golden Retriever loves stealing pucks! Zoomies can be accommodated safely! Relaxation in sun or shade! No pool but, lake access is 5mim down the hill! Beach trips are easy! One cat named Heidi, your dog will never see and one named Louis who runs the house in his mind! Dogs and cats are family! But, if there’s rules you want enforced we can be bad ass too! Couch or no couch you decide! We enforce! In your home or mine they’ll get nothing but love and good rubs!
