“We would 100% ask Elisabeth to watch our two cats again. Both girls took to her quickly (which never happens!), and Elisabeth sent photos and updates during our trip. She made the process easy, is a strong communicator, and put us at ease. Highly recommend! :)”

“Michaela took great care of our cat and kept a watchful eye over the house too while we were away for 10 days. I hadn’t used Rover before but I’m very pleased with the service I received from Michaela and will definitely book with her again next time we are away!”

“Isabella showed up on time to spend time with my pup and took great care of him while she was there. She was communicative through out the process. I loves the pictures she provided of her visit.”

“Nicole was awesome! She was super responsive and easy to communicated with. My cat has advanced kidney disease and it was a huge relief to have someone so knowledgeable check in on him. High recommend.”

About: We have owned many dogs and are very experienced and caring dog owners. We love dogs and will take very good care of your fur baby while they are under our care in our home. We will play with them both inside and outside and take them for several walks while they are in our care. I am retired and my husband works from home so we are able to watch your dog for extended periods of time. We will take them out often for a stretch, to exercise and to do their business. We have large front and back yards, as well as many walking trails just outside our door with plenty of room for your dog to run and get their exercise. We don’t currently have our own pet, but love dogs and will take very good care of your pet while we dog-sit. We live in a small gated community at the end of a cul-de-sac with very little traffic. We often watch and board our friends’ Labradors while their owners travel.
About: From taking care of my own, to taking care of others, I have many years of experience with all type of animals, breeds of dogs, and sassy cats. With multiple years of a frequent customer with a very friendly pup and a very vicious pup, I know how to handle it all. At the end of the day I can assure you, your fur babies will be in the best of hands when being cared for by me! I am currently a full time student in college and would love to spend my free time helping others and hopefully taking care of your fur babies ! From some mornings, afternoons, or any night of the week I am available for booked, or short notice care! Frequent bathroom breaks, breakfast and diner, medication when needed, and cuddles often, I can adapt to any schedule or routine your pet needs to make sure they are well taken care of.
“Cassidy took excellent care of my two cats, and sent plenty of photos at each visit. It gave me great peace of mind knowing they were so well taken care of while I was away. Highly recommend Cassidy!”

“Hope was excellent with my puppy. She is 20 weeks old and is teething. She is quite mouthy right now and Hope was calm and patient with her. I will be asking Hope to return on those days when I have to be out of the house for extended periods.”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up on a farm with dogs and, in high school, worked as a veterinary assistant. Caring for animals has been a constant throughout my life, and I just love having them around. My husband and I recently said goodbye to our beloved cat after many wonderful years together. While we take some time to decide when to welcome another pet into our family, we're excited for the opportunity to care for yours. I work as a realtor with a flexible schedule and am currently completing my Master's degree in Counselling Psychology online. My husband also works from home, so your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. We live in a quiet, family-oriented neighbourhood that is perfect for daily walks and outdoor time. Our goal is to provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where your pet feels comfortable and right at home. Thank you for considering us. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming your pet into our home. 🐾 I work as a realtor with a flexible schedule and am currently completing my Master's degree in Counselling Psychology online, so I spend much of my time at home. “Georgia was very flexible and came a second time to my home on very short notice. She is great at giving medication, and I always feel safe knowing she’s taking care of my fur kids!”

About: I have always had a cat in my life and I have also volunteered over 200 hours caring for cats at the SPCA. I experienced a wide variety of cats, including many shy and anxious ones. While I have the most experience with cats, I would love to take your well-behaved dog for a walk or run. I am currently a student taking online courses, so I have complete flexibility for drop-in visits and walks throughout the week. I plan my schoolwork around visits so I can meet your pet’s needs and stay consistent with their routine. I’m a calm and patient person, and I always let your cat or dog approach me on their own terms. I never force interaction—I give them the space they need to feel safe and comfortable around me.
“Kristi took such great care of our cat (including giving her medications and checking for signs of illness ) while we were away ! We didn’t have reception and felt so reassured she was on the job. Our cat didn’t event give us the usual cold shoulder when we got home.”

Thanks Xenia, for taking care of my kitties, changing their litter box, topping up their water, and feeding them wet food. The photos and videos really brightened up my day while I was away from them. I would recommend Xenia to everyone. She was professional, experienced, and caring.

Caroline is incredible! She has always been very reliable and on time. We don’t know what we would do without her! She goes above and beyond to make sure our dog is taken care of and sends us updates with how she’s doing! If you’re looking for a dog walker she’s your girl! Thank you Caroline! 🥰

This star sitter took on my very last minute request during the holiday as a brand new client. This gave me the ultimate peace of mind while I traveled to see family and I felt complete trust knowing my dog was well taken care of with updates and photos. I could see his relaxed and happy expressions in all the pictures I received. Coming home to a happy dog created an excellent experience. I strongly recommend Olga as your next pet sitter!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a West Kelowna stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Kelowna choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
