Our 10-year-old senior dachshund has significant anxiety and has only ever stayed with one trusted sitter since she was a puppy. Leaving her with someone new was a huge step for us. Not only did our senior girl eat all of her meals while we were away, but she was relaxed, comfortable, and even slept with Kirsten- something she has never done with anyone she didn't trust. Our seven-month-old rescue puppy is still learning all the basics, including leash walking and building confidence outside the home. Kirsten was patient and wonderful with her, and our puppy did great during her walks and daily training routine. The greatest compliment I can give is that I felt completely comfortable leaving our dogs in Kirsten's care. It was clear they felt safe, loved, and well cared for. She went above and beyond from the very beginning, making time to meet us, our dogs, chickens and ducks beforehand and accommodating a last-minute booking with less than 24 hours’ notice. Communication was outstanding throughout the entire experience. Her pre-booking contact was thorough and reassuring, and she kept us updated while we were away, giving us complete peace of mind. Most importantly, Leah genuinely prioritized our dogs’ needs. They are loving but reactive dogs and can be demanding to care for, yet she handled them with patience, understanding, and confidence. She took them on adventures, ensured they were well cared for, and treated them as if they were her own. We could not be happier with the experience. While Leah may be at the higher end of the price range, she is worth every penny for the level of care, professionalism, and peace of mind she provides. “As far as we are concerned Magdala is a dog whisperer. We have an extremely timid Shih-tzu we got during Covid. She has never been left alone. We tried some doggy daycares but she was very stressed out. Magdala came over for a meet and greet and Pepper spent the whole time by her side. That has never happened! Today Magdala came to our place to look after Pepper all day and after the initial excitement of us coming home she is totally relaxed. 5 stars all the way!!!”

About: I have looked after family and friends dogs. One particular friend has a dog who is very physically impaired and very nippy with people. Many neighbours complimented me on how I was managing this dog as a few of them had to attend to him from time to time and had not had a great experience. I looked after this dog in his home for 12 days and had no problems. They have invited me back to take care of him anytime they go away. My daughter just got a new dog and she is full of energy and I love looking after her. Most dogs are attracted to me. I have been told many times that this dog never goes to strangers and they’ll come to me.. I am retired so with a few days notice I can alter my schedule to give you piece of mind and come let your dog out and take it for a walk. I am physically fit and love walking. I can take care of your dog in your backyard, house or go for a walk. I love to give them lots of cuddles and scratchings, And treats only if approved by owner. I will never give any food/treats to a dog unless I consult with the owner.
