We would 100% ask Elisabeth to watch our two cats again. Both girls took to her quickly (which never happens!), and Elisabeth sent photos and updates during our trip. She made the process easy, is a strong communicator, and put us at ease. Highly recommend! :)

As new cat parents, my husband and I were nervous to leave our cat, Murphy, for the first time. Michaela knew exactly what we needed to feel assured that Murphy was doing well. I love Michaela’s detailed rover cards and looked forward to reading them after every visit. She’s so great at including all the little details about Murphy that makes me smile. The photos are adorable and warmed my heart. Murphy had a great time with Michaela! He told me all about it when we got home. Thank you, Michaela for your adventures with Murphy. He’ll be looking forward to your visit again soon!

About: I have always had pets until this last year (cats and dogs). I now walk my daughters' dogs for them daily early morning, and I really enjoy having that daily connection with my furry friends! Being semi-retired I am available for consistent and reliable care. I am working from home in the mornings, and then always take my walks in the afternoons, so that is the best time for me to come to your home to walk or visit your pet. I am available for visits in West Kelowna. I can visit in your home and/or yard and also take your pet for a walk in your area.

About: I have 6 years of experience caring for pets and have always loved being around animals. I have two dogs of my own who live with my family back home, and I absolutely love spending time with them whenever I’m home. I’m comfortable caring for pets of different sizes, ages, and personalities, and I understand that every pet has their own needs and routines. I’m responsible, patient, and attentive, and I’ll treat your pets with the same care and love I give my own! As a university student, I have flexible weekday availability, particularly during the day and early afternoon, as well as availability on Saturday and Sundays. I’m happy to work with you to find a time that fits your pet’s schedule! I take pet safety and comfort very seriously and will treat your pet as if they were my own. I’m attentive to their individual needs, routines, and personality, and I’ll make sure they receive plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. About: Hi! I’m excited to offer attentive, loving care for your pets. Animal care has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember—I’ve been caring for dogs and puppies since I was 10 years old, raising my own pups, and regularly stepping in to look after pets for friends and family. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and sizes. Through training my own dog as a young adult and helping foster rescue dogs in my home, I’ve learned how to handle diverse personalities with patience, clear communication, and positive reinforcement. Whether your dog needs an active, energizing walk around the neighborhood, structured care, or just a calm, cozy stay while you’re away, you can trust that they will be safe, happy, and treated like family. Specialized Experience: Experienced in managing high-energy breeds, anxious temperaments, basic obedience training, multi-dog dynamics, and foster care. My flexible schedule as a part-time student and part-time employee allows me to give your pet consistent care, attention, and companionship throughout the day. Because I have substantial breaks between my classes and dedicated afternoon blocks off, I can easily fit in mid-day check-ins, walks, and feeding schedules. Monday & Wednesday: Available for morning, mid-day, and late afternoon check-ins during my class breaks, as well as full evening availability. Tuesday: Open and available all afternoon and evening. Thursday: Free during the morning and afternoon for check-ins and walks before my evening work shift. Friday: Available for morning and mid-day check-ins before my evening work shift. Saturday: Available for evening walks, dinner drop-ins, and overnight stays following my daytime work shift. Sunday: Completely free all day and evening for full-day care, long walks, and flexible scheduling. Note: I’m always happy to share my exact class times during our meet-and-greet to lock in the precise time slots that best fit your dog’s routine! If you are looking for overnight boarding or daycare in West Kelowna, your pup will love staying at my home! Fully Fenced, Spacious Yard: I have a large, securely fenced backyard with plenty of room for your dog to safely run, play, fetch, and stretch their legs. Safe & Secure: Peace of mind is my top priority. The perimeter is fully enclosed so your dog can enjoy outdoor playtime safely and securely. Comforts of Home: Indoors, your dog will be treated like family—with cozy places to rest, plenty of personal attention, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Note that my home is pet free as well

About: I've been pet sitting for 21 years and have spent my life caring for animals of all kinds. Over the years, I've worked as a pet sitter, dog walker, kennel assistant, veterinary assistant, and now working toward a profession of dog training, giving me experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, personalities, and energy levels. What sets me apart is that I don't simply exercise dogs - I help them build better habits. Every walk is a training opportunity, with a focus on calm behaviour, loose leash walking, engagement, impulse control, and good manners, all tailored to your dog's individual needs. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, seniors, reactive or anxious dogs, high-energy breeds, and pets requiring medication or special care. Whether your dog needs an adventure, extra patience, or a consistent routine while you're away, I'll care for them as if they were my own while providing plenty of updates and photos for your peace of mind. I'm currently building my dog training business full-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate my attention to every pet in my care. I'm available for weekday walks, drop-in visits, daycare, boarding, and overnight care. Because I intentionally limit the number of pets I care for at one time, every dog receives plenty of individual attention, exercise, and enrichment. My goal is quality care - not rushing from appointment to appointment. Your pet's safety and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I take the time to understand each dog's personality, routines, and comfort level before every booking. I use secure equipment, practice safe handling, and never introduce unfamiliar dogs unless requested by the owner. For boarding, dogs become part of my daily routine with structured walks, rest periods, enrichment activities, and lots of one-on-one attention. I maintain a calm environment that helps dogs feel relaxed and secure while you're away. You'll also receive regular photo updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

About: I grew up on a dairy farm and caring for animals has always come naturally for me. We always had farm dogs and cats but then at the age of 12 I became the owner of a little beagle puppy that stole my heart. Brandy was my dog until I moved away from home. Over the years, I had two more dogs and six cats in my life! When my last dog passed, I missed him so much and asked my hairdresser if I could look after her little poodle. I really enjoyed his company and the opportunity to get out for walks with him. I am retired, so my daily schedule is very flexible. Whenever I am needed, I can be available, whether it's early morning or late afternoon. If I care for your pet, I would want you to tell me about any special diet or medication requirements. I will appreciate knowing any specific rules that you might have for the care of your pet.

About: Hey there, my name is Trinity and I am a HUGE animal lover.I am great at following instructions if your pet is needy or a bit of a handful. I have experience taking care of all sorts of animals since I was a little girl, this includes young and elderly animals.I have also taken care of an elderly cat for an acquaintance multiple times(feeding, cleaning, administering medications, etc.) for extended periods (1 week- 6 months). Furthermore, I have taken care of multiple animals for coworkers and acquaintances on multiple occasions (walking, feeding, and coming up with creative ways to get them to take their medicine! lol). I have now watched dozens of cats and dogs varying in size and breed and have plenty of experience to feel confident in watching any animal, big, small, or even difficult! I am new to rover but not new to animals and how they should be cared for, please message me if you have any questions! I also have plenty of other positive reviews from off app animal sitting jobs if you would like more assurance! Just ask! I'm currently in school, so I have plenty of time to feed, play and care for your pets even on short notice! I have lived and cared for pets my whole life until just this past two months, I am missing my little furry buddies! I want to assure you that I take your beloved pets needs seriously and am grateful for the clients who have trusted me to take care of such precious animals in the past. In addition, if I am looking after your home I will treat your home with the utmost respect and will follow all directions needed to make you feel comfortable whilst your away

About: I am a university student at UBCO living at home with my family and 2 dogs. This gives me the unique flexibility to stay overnight and care for pets on short notice. I have had dogs my whole life, and currently have a senior rescue, and a puppy at home. This gives me the experience I need to care for all kinds of dogs, well trained, not yet trained, puppies, seniors, rescues, purebreds etc. I have been dog and cat sitting for family friends several times a year for over 3 years since high school. I am a very responsible person, extremely reliable, and communicate well. I love the outdoors and going for walks, as well as lazy days at home. I have a very flexible school and work schedule. I am a student at UBCO and have several 3-4 hour gaps in my day which I can come home and spend time with the pets. I am done my classes around dinner time, and can come straight home for the evening. On the weekends, I am a server at a restaurant in town and generally only work 4-6 hour shifts. This means I am around for the majority of the day. I have been dog walking for many years as I have had dogs my whole life. With clients, I try and keep the pet’s routine as similar as possible to their owner’s. I like to be around as much as possible and keep the pets as comfortable as they can be while their owner is away.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
