“Loressa took great care of our cat Ember and followed all of our instructions to a T! We appreciated the regular updates and effort she made to play with Ember with her favourite toys. Our place was nice and clean when we got home to a happy kitty. Thanks Loressa!”

“Kirsten is the single best cat sitter we’ve had. She’s a pleasure to deal with, very accommodating, and the cats have genuinely warmed up to her. It’s peace of mind she’s looking after our pets while we’re away.”

About: Although I have never had my own dog, I have spent a good amount of time with my friends and family’s dogs. I have experience walking and doing basic cares. I am currently working full time, so early mornings and evenings on the days I work will be when I am available. On my days off, I love to be outside, especially at the lake. I would love to take your dog with me and enjoy some water fun. I can do almost whatever cares you need for your pet in your home. I do have a fenced in backyard where well trained and calm dogs can play for short visits. I have my own car, so we can travel to walking paths or the beach for some summer fun.

About: I'm an active volunteer with the SPCA (providing dog and cat support) and Elderdog, and I regularly dogsit for friends. I have Pet First Aid and CPR training and experience caring for senior dogs. My criminal record and vulnerable sector checks are up-to-date. I am without a dog of my own for the first time in many years and I miss the companionship of a furry friend. I'd love the opportunity to spoil yours! *I am currently offering boarding for one dog only up to 65lbs (30kgs). My schedule varies, but is usually quite flexible as I work part-time from home. I am happy to discuss your pet's needs with you and together we can determine how best to meet them. Your dog will be treated like one of the family and have access to the entire house and yard. I am also a big supporter of positive, reward-based training methods (such as AnimalKind).
“Laurie and Terry did a great job looking after our girl Ember. It was great to have regular updates and know she was getting some supervised outside time while we were away, and lots of play time! We came back to a happy kitty and a clean home :)”

“Sara recently watched our 6 month old kitten for a full week and absolutely exceeded our expectations. She made sure our little girl had lots of playtime and attention, sent us lots of updates, and even brought over some fun new toys to play with! We would definitely have Sara watch our kitty again and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone wanting to ensure their pet is well looked after.”

About: I've cared for pets for over 20 years. I pay close attention to body language and consider individual pet needs. I know how precious our fur babies are to us and treat every animal with love and respect. I look forward to getting to know them! -Sarah I have Friday to Sundays free and week day evenings. I am flexible and can walk pets/provide outdoor play at any time given my property. Hello! I always do my best to provide the best care possible. I have a questionnaire I ask clients to fill out to first better understand your pets' needs. I assess everything from energy levels to favourite activities and feeding schedules. I'll always treat your fur baby like they are my own with care and attention. I can provide behavioural support, but only if asked; I'd like our time together to be fun and positive. About: With over 20 years of experience caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities, I bring a deep love and understanding to every pet I look after. From playful zoomies to peaceful senior strolls, I’m here to make your dog feel safe, happy, and right at home. I’ve personally raised and cared for three dogs of different breeds, and I’m confident handling all kinds of temperaments and energy levels. I’m happy to help with bathing, walks, playtime, and even basic training — including sit, recall, leash manners, and potty training. I’m especially mindful of age-specific needs, whether it’s soothing anxiety, supporting mobility issues, or simply knowing when a pup needs a little extra patience or comfort. Whatever your dog requires — special instructions, medications, or routines — I’ll follow it closely to ensure they feel loved and well cared for. Your pet’s well-being is my top priority, and I’d be honored to care for them like one of my own Pet care is a natural and rewarding part of my daily life. I build my schedule around the pets I’m caring for to ensure they get consistent attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. Whether I’m doing drop-in visits, walks, or full-time pet sitting, I make sure each pet has a set routine they can rely on — from morning potty breaks and mealtime to evening walks and wind-down time. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow your instructions closely to maintain their familiar routine and environment. I respect your space and your pet’s comfort zone — whether that means quiet companionship or engaging activities. From feeding and walking to medications or special care, I treat your home and pet with the same love and attention I’d give my own.
“Jesi gave extra special care to our two cats. She seemed to be genuinely interested and engaged during her visits. She took on the challenge of giving eye drops to one of the cats and demonstrated competence and gentleness. We will definitely have Jesi back to care for our cats.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
