Loressa took great care of our cat Ember and followed all of our instructions to a T! We appreciated the regular updates and effort she made to play with Ember with her favourite toys. Our place was nice and clean when we got home to a happy kitty. Thanks Loressa!

Sara recently watched our 6 month old kitten for a full week and absolutely exceeded our expectations. She made sure our little girl had lots of playtime and attention, sent us lots of updates, and even brought over some fun new toys to play with! We would definitely have Sara watch our kitty again and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone wanting to ensure their pet is well looked after.

About: Although I have never had my own dog, I have spent a good amount of time with my friends and family’s dogs. I have experience walking and doing basic cares. I am currently working full time, so early mornings and evenings on the days I work will be when I am available. On my days off, I love to be outside, especially at the lake. I would love to take your dog with me and enjoy some water fun. I can do almost whatever cares you need for your pet in your home. I do have a fenced in backyard where well trained and calm dogs can play for short visits. I have my own car, so we can travel to walking paths or the beach for some summer fun.

Jesi gave extra special care to our two cats. She seemed to be genuinely interested and engaged during her visits. She took on the challenge of giving eye drops to one of the cats and demonstrated competence and gentleness. We will definitely have Jesi back to care for our cats.

Laurie was absolutely amazing when she cared for my cats while I was away for 9 days. I was nervous about leaving them for that long but having Laurie care for them put my mind at ease and she really did a phenomenal job keeping me informed with how things were going. Prior to my going away she dropped in two different times to make sure she fully understood what my/my cats needs were. I could tell she really cared about my animals well being and kept them happy with consistently and the support they needed.

It's always hard on me to leave my cat, but knowing Phoebe was coming to check on her made it easier. I will definitely rebook and would refer her to anyone! Absolutely loved the little video clips and pictures.

About: Animals have always been a part of my life. I started caring for pets when I was 12, and what began as helping neighbors quickly grew into over 20 years of experience with cats, dogs, and even horses. From playful puppies to senior pets, I’ve seen it all and I know how to meet each animal where they’re at. I believe pets deserve more than just “care” — they deserve comfort, companionship, and someone who truly understands them. Whether that means long walks, gentle grooming, or just extra snuggles, I make sure every pet feels loved and safe while their people are away. You can relax knowing your pets will be treated like family, because to me, that’s exactly what they are. 🐾 Caring for others has always been at the heart of my life. I work casually as a care aid in healthcare, and caring for animals has been a constant alongside that for over 20 years. From cats and dogs to horses, I’ve loved being the person people can rely on when they need someone trustworthy and compassionate. Because my schedule is flexible, I’m able to give pets the time and attention they deserve. Whether it’s keeping up with a playful pup, providing comfort to a senior cat, or just making sure your pets feel safe and loved, I treat every animal as if they were my own. When I care for pets in someone else’s home, I understand I’m being trusted with two of your most important things — your animals and your space. I take that responsibility seriously by keeping routines consistent, paying attention to details, and making sure pets and homes stay safe, secure, and well cared for at all times.

I am currently available 7 days a week for dog/puppy/cat sitting, dog walks/adventures and doggy/cat boarding and visits! Monday-Sunday. Happy to watch your little fur ball! I have a big fenced in yard with a friendly dog who loves playing with other dogs. He’s amazing with cats and small animals. About: I've had a cat back at homecountry for 10 years (she still lives her happy life with family back there). Often after first dog sitting in Okanagan clients become my regulars. UPD! At present I am unemployed, so I can spend more time with your pet. When I am not at work I'm fully focused on spending good time with the pets I'm looking after. Ensure perts are walked on leash, check for signs of discomfort, daily walks for dogs/ playtime for cats, regular brushing, cleaning litter boxes, ensure pets are fed on schedule and have fresh water.

About: having grown up with cats and dogs, no home feels complete without a pet. i truly understand that animals become a part of the family and with a flexible “work-from-anywhere-with-wifi” career i can provide your pet with the love, care, and attention they deserve and need. both mobile and childfree, i can travel throughout the okanagan valley (or the Pacific Northwest for the right match). I am experienced from playful puppies to sugar-faced seniors and from kittens to cranky cats. no furry friend is too big or small! i work a flexible job, fully remotely so I can keep your pet company while working M-F. I am a Peachland loca: mobile, fit, young-ish, and childfree with most evenings and weekends open to dedicate to your pet(s) and their needs. as a long time dog owner i believe in positive reinforcement training and will encourage good behaviour by rewarding with pre-approved treats. I observe dog body language to only touch or cuddle as much, or as little, as your pet may want. I completely understand being away from you family can be unsettling so your pets comfort is my ultimate priority :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
