“Kirstin did a great job! Chika and Phoebe really liked her. I was pleased that she followed all my detailed instructions with enthusiasm. When I came home the dogs were calm and relaxed.”

About: I've always had a deep care for animals, and have never met a pet that I didn't love (and that didn't love me)! I have lots of experience (unfortunately) with administering medications and caring for my own terminally ill rescue pets over the years. I am between jobs at the moment, so my schedule is wide open! I love to explore the valley, so I'm consistently between Westbank and Enderby scoping out new hiking spots. I will stay with your pet for as little or as much time as you'd like! I am a helicopter parent to my own pets, so I have no issue following whatever requests you have that might seem crazy to others.

About: I have experience caring for both senior dogs and puppies. My most notable experience was walking Duke, a young golden retriever puppy, daily for a full year. During that time, I helped leash train him, worked on good walking habits, and made sure he got plenty of physical and mental stimulation. I love being outdoors and believe fresh air and enrichment are so important for pets. While I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I do have three rescue cats, one of whom is special needs with only one eye. This has given me firsthand experience with attentive, compassionate care and understanding animals with unique needs. I am currently an engineering student at university, which gives me a flexible schedule. I’m often able to stop by between classes or on days when I don’t have classes at all. I’m usually finished with school early most days, so pet care fits naturally into my routine. Spending time outside with pets is something I really enjoy! it’s a great way to decompress and reset while giving animals the attention and exercise they need. I’ve had experience with both drop-in care and overnight stays in a pet owner’s home. For drop-in visits, I focus on maintaining the pet’s routine—feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship—while the owner is away. I’ve also stayed in clients’ homes for the full duration of their trips, ensuring their pets receive consistent care and familiarity. I enjoy both options and am happy to tailor my services to the owner’s preferences and their pet’s routine.
“Cassie manages both my dogs so well. The Dutch Shepherd plus the new puppy. Took them both on a nice long walk down to the beach! Definitely recommend Cassie for all your doggie care!”

“Rhea was an incredible sitter for our cats! We had an emergency with one of the cats while we were away and I felt so calm and secure knowing she would be able to handle it for us while we were gone. I can’t reccomend her enough!”

About: I have grown up my whole life with animals. I currently have four dogs and four cats at home. I truly believe pets add so much love to the household. my hours are very flexible and change everyday. I work shifts at a local restaurant in oyama and also at mission hill winery. I’m usually free in the mornings and afternoons/nights vary. I cannot bring pets into my apartment, but will do whatever is needed at a clients home:) obviously each home is different and i will cater to needs, for example taking the dogs for a walk if there is no yard or constantly keeping an eye on the pet if they like to get into things.
“Georgia was great with my cats! She was able to administer an inhaler for my senior and make sure she only had access to her special vet food. My kitten was scared at first, but quickly got attached to her. Georgia was also great with helping water plants and take garbage out while I was travelling for work. She is very responsible and I felt reassured knowing she was here to help. I highly recommend her!”

About: Let me give you peace of mind while you are separated from a very important member of the family. I have a lifetime of experience with many animals including exotics. Whether your pet is furry, scaly, or lives in water, I will give everything I have to make sure they are well taken care of. Your rules and boundaries are of the utmost importance and you can count on me to follow through making sure your pet has consistency in your absence. Nutrition and exercise are top priorities but just as important is your pet's emotional well-being. It is hard on everyone to be a part and it is my responsibility to help your loved one through the anxiety and fear that can come from separation. When you return from being away, you will be greeted with a healthy happy animal ready to spend quality time with you. I currently work from home on my own schedule and terms. This makes it easy for me to take care of your pet anytime during the day. Your rules, guidelines and wishes are my top priority. I will follow your requests as I strongly believe consistency creates a happy well behaved pet.
“Toni is amazing! She did drop off visits for my french bulldog for about 2 weeks. He’s a bougie little guy who gets his lunch meal prepped (due to pancreatitis) and heated up. She came by for about an hour everyday and fed him/ took him out. She also took the time to do drop by introduction before taking care of him. After the first visit he was waiting by the door looking for her the entire night when I get home. If I afford to hire her full time I would. Highly recommend trying her out if you need someone to care for your pets!”

About: I have a lifetime of experience working with all sorts of dogs, including puppies, elderly dogs and dogs requiring special care and/or medications. I am also experienced in dog training and grooming. I’m currently a student meaning I spend most of my time at home. Doing online classes can make it difficult to have typical a 9-5 job, being one of the reasons I started dog walking and sitting. As well as it being a passion I’ve had since a very early age. I have a home with a fenced in open space for your fur-babies. As well as many hiking trails located nearby for your pups to explore! Potty breaks every two hours as well as 2-4 walks a day.
About: I’ve had dogs all my life, cats, I love reptiles and anything breathing and living. Some would say I’m an animal whisperer. But I’m also a baby whisperer. Your pet will be very safe with me. I work Monday- Thursday with Friday-Sunday off. I’m off quite early (around 130pm) on Tuesdays and don’t work until 12pm on Wednesdays. Dropping in or taking your pet out to pee or for walks is easily doable. My availability can vary depending on your needs, so feel free to contact me for details. For overnight stays, my personal pet will be kept at my home away from your animal so there is no interference I’m very very careful when it comes to animals as I’ve had plenty of my own. Rest assured you’d be in extremely trusting hands. I’d care for your baby just as my own.
About: My personalized approach to every pup’s unique needs sets me apart. I’m experienced in training playful puppies and providing attentive care for senior dogs with mobility challenges. Beyond basic sitting and walking, I incorporate fun, mentally stimulating activities and lots of love, ensuring your dog feels happy and comfortable. Whether reinforcing good behavior or making extra accommodations for older pets, I tailor my services to suit each dog’s personality and lifestyle. With me, your furry friend is in compassionate and capable hands! As a student working mostly online, I have the flexibility to be home often, which means I can provide your pet with consistent attention and care throughout the day. Whether it’s a morning walk, a midday play session, or evening cuddles, I can easily accommodate your pet’s needs while balancing my studies. This setup lets me ensure your furry friend feels comfortable and well cared for, even on busy days. I create a calm and safe environment in my home tailored to each pet’s needs. I provide plenty of space for play, rest, and exploration and structured routines for feeding, walking, and enrichment activities. I prioritize comfort and keep the home pet-proofed to ensure their safety. When caring for pets in a client's home, I maintain their established routines and preferences, ensuring consistency and minimizing stress. I’m attentive to special instructions regarding feeding, medication, or exercise. I aim to provide a smooth and stress-free experience for both pets and owners, whether home or away.
About: Animals have always been a part of my life. I started caring for pets when I was 12, and what began as helping neighbors quickly grew into over 20 years of experience with cats, dogs, and even horses. From playful puppies to senior pets, I’ve seen it all and I know how to meet each animal where they’re at. I believe pets deserve more than just “care” — they deserve comfort, companionship, and someone who truly understands them. Whether that means long walks, gentle grooming, or just extra snuggles, I make sure every pet feels loved and safe while their people are away. You can relax knowing your pets will be treated like family, because to me, that’s exactly what they are. 🐾 Caring for others has always been at the heart of my life. I work casually as a care aid in healthcare, and caring for animals has been a constant alongside that for over 20 years. From cats and dogs to horses, I’ve loved being the person people can rely on when they need someone trustworthy and compassionate. Because my schedule is flexible, I’m able to give pets the time and attention they deserve. Whether it’s keeping up with a playful pup, providing comfort to a senior cat, or just making sure your pets feel safe and loved, I treat every animal as if they were my own. When I care for pets in someone else’s home, I understand I’m being trusted with two of your most important things — your animals and your space. I take that responsibility seriously by keeping routines consistent, paying attention to details, and making sure pets and homes stay safe, secure, and well cared for at all times.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Lake Country
jena saved us when we had a short-notice need for a sitter for our two cats. Jena is very professional in her approach to pet sitting: punctual for both the meet-and-greet and drop-ins with our cats, flexible and always keeping in touch with updates. I would highly recommend Jena for anyone's pet sitter.

Lisa is amazing (as usual) with my cats. She took care of my senior with special needs, administering medication for her, and willing to take her to the vet asap if an emergency occurred. She is very responsive, detail oriented and dependable. I highly recommend Lisa as your surrogate fur mom when you’re away!
