Laura was an amazing pet sitter for our cat. She got to know our kitty and spent time getting him to open up to her. It gave us peace of mind while on vacation that Laura was checking in. We returned to a happy cat :)

Morgan was great! Came on fairly short notice, listened to all instructions, and I will definitely be using her again for drop in visits to our little kitty. Thanks Morgan!

About: The dog skill of staying aware of my surroundings has taught me everything I need to know to continue living a stress free life with my dog. All dogs are different and I can show them a comfortable attitude while providing some healthy exercise. My schedule is open to fit your needs at the moment and I can commute near my home quickly in a car for emergencies. Since we live in a tough environment I will come prepared for the weather appropriately. I usually take my dog out 3 to 4 times per day which includes picking up poop and learning of basic tricks. She is 5 but strong as labradors are because of their size.

Shelley is a literal earth angel who truly loves animals deeply. Every check in update was detailed and also made me giggle as she really got to know my cats personalities haha this was my first role using Rover and I’m so glad I found Shelley on here! Hired her for while we were gone during our wedding weekend and felt completely at ease with trusting her to tend to the house hold ! (And medicating one kitty with no fus) will book again for future travels !!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
