“We feel so fortunate that we found Gina. We cannot say enough good things about the care Lucy receives. I call it Gina's Summer Camp! Lucy gets to play with so many great friends and we know she is loved while she is there. Love the updates, looked forward to them every day, made our time away from her so much easier to deal with.”

“Katrina was wonderful with my dog Rusty. She took him for walks and provided regular updates and photos of how he was doing. I will seek out Katrina’s services again to watch my big dog.”

“This is our first time booking with Rover.com. Joseph and Tina were the care providers for Charlie and Murphy. We are very happy with the care and attention our boys received. Our dogs settled in well and seemed very content with the experience. Joseph and Tina have a great home and yard to accommodate larger dogs. They were very flexible and allowed time for the dogs to get oriented and comfortable. It is important for Charlie and Murphy to get ample exercise, which Joseph and Tina were more than happy to make happen. All in all it was a great experience. We will not hesitate to book with them again.”

“Gail had our boy for 6 days and he was VERY well taken care of! We can tell he had a blast with her and her family, and we will definitely be utilizing her services again in the future!!!”

“Wesley had an amazing time with Audrey and Alex! They sent me pictures every day, and told me what they were up to which was very nice. It seems like they took him everywhere! When I picked him up he was happy and relaxed. They are also lovely to coordinate with and very accommodating. I would definitely ask them to take care of Wesley again! Thank you guys!”

“Teresa, treated Coltrane like part of the family. She kept us updated with pictures of their hikes, dog play and big sleeps. Coltrane returned to us happy and settled. She put our hearts at ease.”

“Had a terrific experience with Jackie!! Very warm, welcoming and at ease with our dog. Our dog quickly warmed up to her (and her dog) and seemed right at home . Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! She went on long walks and was treated like a queen :)) Thanks so much, Jackie!!”

“Lisa was truly amazing. She was kind, welcoming , so attentive to my little ones and just an overall joy to interact with. She kept me well updated with photos and videos and she did so shortly after drop off. I’m often very nervous leaving or trusting my dogs with anyone but she was definitely the best choice I could ever make!”

About: Our daughter would like to take the lead. She is new to pet sitting but has a way with all animals. Mom has dog and cat sitting experience from before kids and also had a dog growing up. We are mostly available for weekend jobs. With notice we can usually work a Monday or Friday in. We are open to weekday stays but we work out of the house so it’s a long day for the animals in the house. We have a fenced yard and are open to crate trained or free range animals. Your animals will become part of our family during their stay.

“Leesa was absolutely amazing with our golden retriever, Moose! From the moment we met her, it was clear she genuinely loves dogs and takes great pride in caring for them. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Moose came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It’s obvious he received lots of attention, exercise, and affection during his stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable to look after your dog, I can’t recommend Leesa highly enough.”

“Cassie was amazing. We got regular updates on our dog. The kids were so good with our dog as well. They treated our dog like he was a part of their family. Cassie is super responsive and lovely.”

About: I have loved animals my entire life. I have taken care of many different types of animals since I was very young. Horses, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits and birds. I have raised and trained two Working Line German Shepherds from puppies, with whom I have trained and competed with in high level obedience. I understand what it takes to have well trained, happy and genetically fulfilled dogs. I am actively going to training seminars and constantly expanding my knowledge. I have worked part time as a dog trainer teaching pet obedience classes. I have also taken online dog training courses, emergency dog first aid and raw fed nutrition courses. My day starts by making sure my dogs needs are met. They are fed, walked, stretched and trained daily. They are groomed multiples times throughout the week and participate in fun activities like tracking, obedience, dock diving and swimming weekly. When your dog boards with me, on our farm, they will be treated with the outmost love, care and respect. I would treat your best friend as I treat my own dogs. They will have access to 5 acres to explore and rest in a peaceful, relaxing environment.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
