About: Please note I can NOT take dogs over 14" at the shoulder. I have mid-size checked because some littles are a big chunky. Thanks for understanding. Now on to the profile. I honestly love animals. I sometimes ask my friends to come over, just so I can hang out with their dogs. (my friends are okay with this) I'm well versed in giving dogs and cats their medication orally, or mixed in with food. I don't give needles. All of my dogs, except one lived to ripe old ages and I am well versed in dealing with mobility issues, deafness, blindness and incontinence. I love animals of all ages and I truly believe each stage of their life enhances our lives. NOTE: I can't take a dog who is over 14" at the shoulder. It's part of my strata rules. I have medium size dog checked because of weight. There are some chunky little dogs out there :) I have dealt with foster dogs with PTSD and I'm well aware how slow movements and soft voices are highly important to make a pet feel comfortable. I've taken a few dogs from vicious to cuddle bug in my time. Yes, some of them took months, but in the end, they learned to trust. All they need is love, patience and the time to destress and learn that not every human will hurt them. That being said, I'm not up for sitting a reactive dog at this time. I understand that your pets will need to approach me, not the other way around. Of course I will try to coax them to come to me, but if they don't, I'm okay with that. I simply want to give care to animals and get their companionship, if only for a short time, in return. NOTE: No dogs over 14" at the shoulder. I am semi-retired and work from home. As I have a fenced yard, I can easily accommodate small and medium sized dogs. I may have to go out for an hour here and there, but, for the most part, I am home. I have a fenced yard for dogs. Sorry - no cats at this time. If your dog is crate trained, they can stay in my bedroom with me in the crate, or if they are completely housetrained, they can even snuggle on the bed if that is your preference. When looking after pets in your home, I will follow their routine, as advised by you.

About: We have owned many dogs and are very experienced and caring dog owners. We love dogs and will take very good care of your fur baby while they are under our care in our home. There are lots of trails to walk your dog just steps outside our door. I am retired and my husband works from home so we are able to watch your dog most days and nights and for extended periods of time. We have large front and back yards, as well as many walking trails just outside our door with plenty of room for your dog to run and get their exercise. We don’t currently have our own pet, but love dogs and will take very good care of your pet while we dog-sit. We live in a small gated community at the end of a cul-de-sac with very little traffic. We often watch and board our friends’ Labrador while his owners travel.

About: We had a family dog for 9 years. Unfortunately he passed away last year. Since then we have fostered many dogs and have now decided to try out being Rover sitters :) We love dogs of all kinds, and cats too! My husband works from home so is here 24/7 to care for your pets. When I'm not at school I am also home caring for our 1 year old daughter. We love adventurous pets, and chill ones too. We have a fenced yard and a beautiful sun room already equipped with dog bed and bowls. Should your pet need their own space, there is a door to the sunroom so they can relax. We are happy to go for as many walks a day that are needed, car rides or hikes, depending on your pets skills and ability.

About: I've lived with pets my whole life! I've had the privilege of owning dogs, cats, hamsters, and some reptiles. I've also had the privilege to complete an internship at Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary in Alberta. This gave me an opportunity to learn about wolf/dog behaviours as well as pack animal behaviours. I also worked in an emergency veterinary hospital which allowed me to gain experience from specialists in the field! Other than professional experience, my love for animals has been a lifelong part of my life and I adore caring for them! I have a pretty open availability for the foreseeable future as I've had to take some time off work. I'm flexible and will usually be available most days of the week. I would be happy to do in-home visits and drop-ins for your furry friends! I'm detailed oriented and would ensure fence gates are closed, doors are closed when I leave, and all the necessary things are taken care of (food available, water dish filled, exits secured, etc.)
