Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up on a farm with dogs and, in high school, worked as a veterinary assistant. Caring for animals has been a constant throughout my life, and I just love having them around. My husband and I recently said goodbye to our beloved cat after many wonderful years together. While we take some time to decide when to welcome another pet into our family, we're excited for the opportunity to care for yours. I work as a realtor with a flexible schedule and am currently completing my Master's degree in Counselling Psychology online. My husband also works from home, so your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. While we don't have a large backyard, we have beautiful walking trails directly across the street and a dog park just a short walk away. We live in a quiet, family-oriented neighbourhood that is perfect for daily walks and outdoor time. Our goal is to provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where your pet feels comfortable and right at home. Thank you for considering us. I have known Julie for almost 20 years and in that time I have had 2 dogs and a cat. When looking for a pet sitter, I’m always looking for someone who will do the basics of feeding and walking, etc. but also someone who is going to connect with and love my pet. Julie is that. She has a natural connection with animals. She is at ease with them and they are at ease with her. Whenever she has cared for my fur babies, I always felt comforted knowing that if I couldn’t be with them, they’d be with someone who loved them and could care for them just as I would. Schedule
I work as a realtor with a flexible schedule and am currently completing my Master's degree in Counselling Psychology online, so I spend much of my time at home. My husband also works from home, which means your pet will receive plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. Between daily walks, outdoor time, playtime, and cuddles, we strive to make pets feel comfortable, happy, and right at home.

I believe pets are happiest when their usual routines are maintained as closely as possible. Whether caring for your pet in my home or yours, I take the time to learn their preferences, habits, exercise needs, and favourite activities. In my home, pets will receive plenty of supervision, companionship, walks, playtime, and affection in a safe and calm environment. For house sitting and drop-in visits, I will ensure your pet is well cared for while also respecting your home and keeping you updated with regular photos and messages. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident while you're apart.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I like to tailor activities to their personality and energy level. Depending on what they enjoy, that might include walks on the nearby trails, visits to the dog park, games of fetch, playtime, enrichment activities, belly rubs, or simply relaxing together at home. For cats, I enjoy interactive play, brushing (if they like it!), and providing plenty of attention and companionship while respecting their individual preferences and boundaries.
