“Harley absolutely loves going to daycare! He now has a buddy to play and boy does he have with Bruce! I have no worries leaving Harley with Shelley, it sure eases the mind when you know your little is loved!”

“Jutharat was such a great host for our pup while we were out and about during our visit to Kelowna from out of town! She sent lots of update photos and our boy got along great with her dog Pippi. We would definitely book with her again!”

“My dog has been regularly been going to Suzanne's for a couple of weeks now and she absolutely loves it. As soon as I pull up to drop her off she starts scrambling to run to the door and it's great to see her so excited to be there. Suzanne is great with dogs, and they lover her too. And the cherry on top is how accommodating Suzanne is for your schedule, and how great she is at communication (she's always quick to respond!).”

“Jeanine was great with our little Marty. He is quite shy with separation anxiety. I used to worry leaving him at doggy day care, but I felt much better leaving him with Jeanine and Tegan. Jeanine has a large gated yard yet still went the extra mile to put up more barricades by her fence to make sure little 10 pound Marty couldn’t sneak out. We look forward to Marty spending more time with Jeanine and Tegan.”

“Carla was great! We sent a last minute request for doggy daycare and she was able to accommodate us. We also appreciated her flexibility on drop off/pick up times. She was quick with communication and sent several updates including pictures and videos. Carla took Cass on a couple longer walks which he loves.”

About: Growing up on a cattle ranch in Australia, I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life - caring for them is second nature. While I don’t have pets of my own right now, I regularly look after my mates’ dogs and genuinely love spending time with them. I’m patient, reliable, and understand that every dog has their own personality, pace, and routine. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. <3 I’m also big on communication - you’ll get plenty of photos and updates so you can relax knowing your best friend is happy and in good hands! I work from home full time, so your dog will have plenty of company, attention, and supervised outdoor time throughout the day. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to stick to your dog's usual routine, including walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of cuddles. My goal is to make them feel relaxed, comfortable, and right at home while you're away. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I live on a fully fenced couple of acres in beautiful East Kelowna, providing plenty of secure space for supervised play and exercise. Because I work from home full time, your dog will rarely be left alone and will receive lots of attention throughout the day. I'll follow their usual routine, feeding schedule, and any special instructions to ensure they feel safe, loved, and right at home!
About: What sets me apart is the level of presence and care I bring to each home. I focus on maintaining pets’ routines, comfort, and emotional well-being—not just meeting their basic needs. I’m patient, observant, and calm, which helps pets feel safe, especially puppies who are still learning and seniors who need gentler, more attentive care. My routine is built around doing what’s right for the pets I care for. I plan my days to ensure reliability, consistency, and calm, so each pet feels safe and well cared for in their own home. I prioritize safety, routine, and respect. I follow care instructions carefully, maintain a calm, secure environment, and stay attentive to each pet’s physical and emotional needs. Trust matters—to both pets and people.
“We had a great experience with Anothai and Mersad watching our dog Molly today. They are such a kind and caring husband-and-wife team, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. Molly was very well cared for, and we felt completely at ease leaving her with them. It is such a nice feeling to find sitters who are warm, trustworthy, and clearly treat dogs with so much love and attention. We would absolutely book with them again and again!!! 😍😍😍”

“Lisa and Geoffrey were amazing. They have a beautiful yard and lots of space. Supper friendly and a warm greeting on arrival. My puppy Cielo loved it there and seemed right at home. Definitely recommended Lisa and Geoffrey for anyone that is looking. Also there was always other dogs and friends for Cielo to play with. ?”

“We were visiting from out of town and wanted to enjoy a dinner out. I felt very comfortable with Marylin and her communication. Stanley gets anxious without us but everything worked out since Marylin also has a doxie! I would recommend Marylin if you need a dog sitter. Thanks again!”

“Couldn’t say better things about Jaqueline! This was the first time my puppy stayed with anyone so I was nervous but I felt very comfortable with her the minute I met her. She eased my mind by sending me plenty of pictures and videos. She took great care of my puppy and was great to communicate with. If you are looking for someone to take care of your dog, I highly recommend her.”

“Sylvie was amazing to deal with from the get-go. Quick to respond, experienced, clean, comfortable environment and very friendly. She spoiled my girl, took her out for a ride in her convertible and got her a treat. I am so thankful! 5 stars, would recommend and use again!”

“Thanks, Bryden and Colleen, for taking such good care of Poppy today. She had a great time and came home a happy girl. We will definitely be returning. So happy that we found you!”

“Nicole was great with our dog Nova who is shy and reserved with strangers. Her calm demeanor and slow approach got Nova following her within a few minutes of meeting. Nicole sent us pictures throughout the sitting so we could see how she was doing. Would highly recommend having your doggo stay with Nicole!”

- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's leash and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Summerland commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in BC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
