About: I've spent years caring for dogs through fostering, and pet-sitting for friends, family, and neighbours. I have experience with dogs of various sizes, breeds, personalities, and support needs, including senior dogs and those with disabilities. My partner and I also recently cared for a diabetic cat over several months, giving us experience following medication schedules and providing attentive care for pets with specific health requirements. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with family dogs and have continued caring for pets throughout adulthood. While I'm new to Rover, I'm not new to pet care, and I'd be happy to provide testimonials from previous pet owners if that helps ease your mind! I live in a spacious, pet-friendly apartment with a patio and easy access to parks, walking trails, and Penticton's dog-friendly beach areas. I'll be happy to stick to the schedule that your pets are familiar with (for example, if you let them on furniture, they'll be welcome on my furniture, if they usually sleep in a crate overnight, they'll do the same at my place, if they aren’t comfortable around other animals, I’m happy to accommodate that). I required last minute assistance with my very senior dog Ashton and was relieved when Carissa was available to keep my old man overnight so I could enjoy my Daughters wedding. About: I would like to open our home to other dogs families in need of dog daycare, walking, boarding etc. I have a 7 year old labrador retriever, and his goofy energy is contagious. A day in the life at cats house: Outside time, meal time, rests, play catch, evening meal and one more play time to end the evening. Dogs can sleep where they would at home curled up on their bed or in a cozy crate. Our family tries to keep the dogs regular routines intact to minimize stress on dog. We are flexible and fun loving family that will treat your pet like it's one of our own. Drop off and pick up times are between the hours of 8am - 8pm. I am also happy to take your dog in my vehicle for either an on leash or off leash hike. I also have a 5 month old baby who would be joining me. About: I have worked in animal medicine for 27 years and owned/operated my own pet sitting business. I love all animals and have cared for birds, pocket pets, dog and cats. I am comfortable giving oral/topical and injections (ex. Insulin). Two years ago I spent a year getting certified in animal hospice and palliative care. I know leaving a little old timer at home is stressful and requires someone with advanced caregiving skills. I welcome dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, rodents and small reptiles. I am working from home. Animals who are cared for in our home are rarely alone. I can be available for visits during daytime or evenings. I have a quarter acre fenced yard. We have a pug named Bruce and a border collie named Biscuit. We live in a bi-level home in a quiet neighbourhood close to hiking trails that we frequent often. I regularly support the BC SPCA. I am responsible and professional. I have open availability and I am typically available everyday. I love to get out on dog walks and hikes on my property, I live on 70 acres and being outdoor with animals is a given! There is a large grassed area here, rocky areas and a creek. I have animal crates if your dog is kennel trained. I live in the garden suite, there is safe area for just cats or everyone to be together and often where the dogs hang out with me in the living room when we aren't out on walks or hikes.
About: I have spent my entire life with pets. Since I was a little girl to present day as an 24 year old strongly dedicated to her studies and a responsible young lady prepared to take on all the challenges life gives to her. I currently have 3 dogs and 3 cats, they are very friendly and love to meet new friends. I am available pretty much all the time. I can teach dog tricks, cuddle them, love them and make them feel like a member to the family within minutes. I never leave my pets alone, I make sure they are always busy unless they are tired! I highly respect animals and strongly believe they should be treated as our equals! I currently work as an airline employee and this would be a wonderful gig to do on the side as I have a lot of down time being on reserve. I am a very active and outdoorsy person, and already spend multiple hours per day doing things with my dog, this would be a wonderful addition to my current routine. I ensure they are always fed, and have water, I also am always around to entertain the dogs and/or cats. With my animals at home I take them to dog parks, to the ocean or somewhere to go swimming, I meet up with friends for doggie play dates if I do not want to go to the dog park. I also always have toys or bones for them to play with and I am really big on training, so I always have training treats with me to continuously keep that bond going.
