“Luciana was absolutely amazing with my two dogs. She is very caring and attentive. From drop off to pick up everything went smooth. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs a pet sitter.”
“We were so very pleased with the communication before & during our Moll’s stay at Jeanine’s. We knew the moment we arrived for a meet & greet that she would be in very good hands & treated her like her own. We are greatful that she was able to help us out. Highly recommend Jeanine as your next pet sitter.”

“I was so pleased to see Santana happy when I returned and happy to see me. I received updates while I was gone and I think he managed to melt in. He can be a little nervous with certain things like slippery floors and it was nice to see they tried to make him more comfy but putting down little carpets for him to walk on!”

“Jutharet and her husband took our dog on very short notice as we had to make an emergency medical trip. They took excellent care of him, had lots of space for him to run around outside, and sent me updates along the way. Thanks SO much!!”

“Kirsten was amazing with our pup! She was very friendly, accomodating, and so loving toward the animals. We would definitely not hesitate to leave our puppy in her care again.”

“Morgan provided excellent care to my dog Winston while we were away for the weekend. She sent plenty of photo updates, followed our instructions carefully, exercised Winston well above our expectations, and even hand fed him when he was reluctant to eat. I was able to relax in vacation knowing he was in great hands. We will be using her again!”

About: I've spent years caring for dogs through fostering, and pet-sitting for friends, family, and neighbours. I have experience with dogs of various sizes, breeds, personalities, and support needs, including senior dogs and those with disabilities. My partner and I also recently cared for a diabetic cat over several months, giving us experience following medication schedules and providing attentive care for pets with specific health requirements. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with family dogs and have continued caring for pets throughout adulthood. While I'm new to Rover, I'm not new to pet care, and I'd be happy to provide testimonials from previous pet owners if that helps ease your mind! I really enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away! I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available for pet sitting throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends. Your pet will receive lots of attention and will rarely be left alone! Please note: I will be unavailable from July 14–31 due to travel. I currently don't have any pets of my own, which allows me to focus entirely on the pets in my care! I live in a spacious, pet-friendly apartment with a patio and easy access to parks, walking trails, and Penticton's dog-friendly beach areas. I'll be happy to stick to the schedule that your pets are familiar with (for example, if you let them on furniture, they'll be welcome on my furniture, if they usually sleep in a crate overnight, they'll do the same at my place, if they aren’t comfortable around other animals, I’m happy to accommodate that). Whether your pet loves outdoor adventures, relaxed walks, or plenty of cuddle time at home, I'll tailor their care to what makes them happiest!
“Anothai and Mersad took great care of our senior dog. They sent plenty of pictures and videos and he looked like he was having a good time. We will definitely use again.”

“Julie was great! We loved her updates during our pups fist time boarding. A little extra reassurance for mom and dad was so appreciated. I would highly recommend Julie and we would absolutely reconnect with her again the next time we are in the Okanagan. Thanks, Julie!”

“Bryden and Colleen were great sitters for our dog Fergus! They are very kind and friendly people and Fergus loved the time spent with them and their dog Rocket! We would not hesitate to book them again next time we need a dog sitter! Thanks again!”
“Sara was amazing with our 14 year old Duck Toller. She was extremely responsive and answered all my questions before the booking. She gave me updates during his stay. When I picked him up I could see how comfortable he was with her. I would highly recommend Sara to anyone needing dog care in Penticton”

“Lindsay was outstanding with our 2 little dachshunds. Very flexible with excellent communication (with pics) during their stay. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again! Thank you!”

“Lisa was a joy to work with. We needed someone to watch our dog for a day last minute but we are newbies to Rover and the area. Lisa made time to do a meet and greet with our dog to make sure he was happy and that he got along with the other animals and kids. He is a very social dog and loves exercise. It was the perfect place for him to play with other puppies and run on their long yard. They even took him on a family adventure and sent so many pictures. I wasn’t sure he was going to come back home with us he was having so much fun. Thank you!!”

“Gabrielle is sooo great and provides great warmth - in both her personality and home - for watching Rupert. Our boy had so much fun also with his good friend Juniper. On this first beautiful dat of Spring in the Okanagan, it looked like Rupert also enjoyed soaking up the sun on the balcony. Thank you so much, Gabrielle, for looking after Rupert and the great photos. Much appreciated!!”

“Chelsea was amazing with my Frenchie, he even followed her dog into the water at the beach for the first time! I love how comfortable he appeared to be with Chelsea. The updates made me feel at ease and it was nice seeing that he was having a great time. I’ll definitely be choosing Chelsea again.”

“Facundo was absolutely amazing, very responsive and kind. My dog was happy and tired after his week with him. The regular updates and pictures were very much appreciated too. I would highly recommend Facundo and will definitely be booking with him again!”

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
